ashi nd m.p looked up in surprise
ashi was afraid 2 say nethin in case she burst out in tears...
"hii vrinda..meet ashi"m.p introduced them

"me gotta go guys..mama ne kaha shell come 2 meet me..im sure she just wants 2 show me her new lipstick or sumthin...so hv 2 go"said ashi pulling a bored face
"bye ashi....nd after ur done..come to the common room..there gonna b a back 2 coll party 2nite"

"mama...dont do tht..its so embarrasing"said ashi struggling out her moms hug"

as she ran bak 2 the coll....it began 2 rain..the unexpected showers for which mumbai was so famous...
she stopped under a tree....as she waited fr the rains 2 stop...
in b.n the thunder nd the pouring sheets of rain..she heard a sound...
it was soo beautiful she felt herself drawn 2 it...
it was coming from a shed...
the clear notes of a guitar...it was as if they were describing the rythym of the blood pounding in her...
it gained tempo as the rain progressed 2 a thunderstorm...
through the droplets of water caressing her skin..she felt the notes vibrate in the air..such perfect music as she had never heard before...
the rain slowed 2 a drizzle...correspondingly....the guitar melted down 2 soft soothing notes....notes tht calmed the turmoil within..notes tht left her craving for more...
the rain stopped..so did the guitar...
desperate for more..she pushed open the door of the shed...

yuvi bent over his guitar xhausted....his music was his lover 2 whch he would surrender everything...even himself..especially himself...
he heard the door open...
he lifted his head just as the lights went off...
illuminated only by the last rays of the setting sun..he saw an angel....
an angel carved 2 perfection.....he put aside his guitar...
nd went 2 her...slow steps...as one takes near the gates of heaven....unable 2 believe the beauty within...
he took her in his arms..gently..as thoh afraid she wud fly away...
he felt electric liines of passion...as his warm skin touched her cold damp arms...
his lips came closer 2 hers.....so close she could hear his heartbeat...
their eyes met..it was a gaze neither of them wud ever forget....
it started raining again as they kissed..soft gentle kisses...desperate passionate ones....
they wished they cud freeze time......
both of them pulled away simultaneously...
she ran thru the open door...all the way 2 her room breathless...
she wished she knew sumthin more abt him dan his music...
he watched her go..
as she dissapeared out of sight ..the lights came back on...
the only thing 2 assure him it was nt a dream was delicately wrought silver earring...
