he was sitting and relaxing on his couch when he heard the faint sound of the doorbell. And the first thing he noticed about the person who came in was that her fingers were bare..

'Hi.' She stated the fact grimly without a trace of a smile.

'Hi Anvesha.'

'Look Pierre, we have to talk. Maybe we should sit down first. I--'

'No Ashi. I know why you are here.. you have come to break our engagement.'

'Well, actually--'

'Actually what Ashi? Actually nothing. I thought you liked me, I thought I still had a chance when you said yes. But I was a fool!.. you have never liked me. I was just a one-night fling for you, wasn't I? Give me back the engagement ring Ashi and then you can leave to celebrate it with your boyfriend.'

Tears welled up in her eyes as she gave him back the ring. Before she could say anything else, she realized that she was standing in the hallway and the door had slammed behind him..

but she was still content.. knowing that now nothing would stop her from being with him.. the 'him' she loved..
