Slowly they broke apart.. even when they were not in each others arms.. being in the same place at the same time gave them both a feeling of protection. They were still absorbed in each other's eyes to talk.. and the warmth of their love seemed to flow in the room, giving it an amazing sense of passion.. tenderness.. compassion.. care..

He had started to knock on the door, when he happened to glance through the adjacent window.. it was her.. she looked very familiar to him.. he had thought about her all day. And she was there, with his boss, their love for each other apparent from their eyes.. this was what he had wanted with her. He had had no idea that she had known his boss. They were so immersed in each other that they didn't happen to glance at the window.. they didn't see someone standing there with an outwardly strong expression.. yet if one looked closely, one can see the unbearable pain and sadness which was present.. he was a Lieutant Colonel.. he had been taught never to shed tears.. never to give up anything on the basis of love.. he had been taught that love was baseless.. that one should never love something or somebody.. that he should always be prepared to sacrifice everything he had.. but today he actually sensed he was in love.. he could no longer deny the feeling which had been with him since yesterday. Now he had enough strength to admit it.. he was in love with Anvesha Banerjee Ray.

A single tear slowly dropped down his eye and reached his cheek..
