CHAPTER THREE
(Will introduce Moiz uddin and Iqbal here. Iqbal because I didn't find any specific proof about anyone else present or not present with Moiz in the battlefield. Also if Balban was involved I couldn't find proof of that. But i had to add one more baddie here hence my choice of Iqbal as we have seen him on screen too...we cant stand him yes, but please bear with him here😆)
The wet Emerald Green and the wet Brown Hazel eyes continued to stare at each other. She was crying more now. He could not bear to see her cry. Not now. Not ever. He would feel like burning the entire world into ashes whenever he would see her cry. He took a hurried step forward and took her in his arms. She clutched onto him tight, burying her head in his chest. He gently kissed
her hair and closed his eyes. His tears fell into her hair. He could feel the wetness of her eyes on his bare chest.
"This isn't the moment to be weak" they both thought to themselves at the same time.
"This is the time to live in the moment. Live it to the fullest in whatever way possible"
It was amazing, but not surprising as to how two soul mates who loved each other insanely thought exactly alike at the same time. This wasn't the first time it was happening. Their minds, bodies and souls were deeply connected with one another. It was never necessary for her to express with what she was going through or what was in her mind. He would understand it with an instant look towards her no matter how far she stood. And he was never successful in putting up a mask of a brave face in front of her in the difficult times they went through. Razia's eyes could melt the invisible mask he was wearing and she would see right through his thoughts and heart.
Plenty of yards away outside the battlefield, stood a huge tent. A royal tent. He was walking here and there inside, taking slow but tensed steps with a glass of grape wine in his hand. The entrance sheets of the tent suddenly flipped opened and inside stepped another man.
"Sultan-e-Hind ko iss Jabaaz ka Salaam arz hai" he smirked bowing his head down in adaab
Moiz turned around. "Arrey Bhaijaan !" he said going towards Iqbal, the current Sultan of Multan with open arms.
They hugged each other. Iqbal noticed the wine glass in his hands.
"Yeh kya hai Moiz Bhai ?" he asked with tone mixed with confusion and surprise. "Jung ke waqt sharaab ? Hosh mein kaise rahenge ? Humein bahar aapke kuch sipahi miley thay, keh rahe thay ki jo Lashkar aapne un dono ke peeche bheja tha woh sab ke sab maare gaye. Aur aap yahan sharaab ke mazey le rahe hai ? Woh dono har sipahi ko aasaan maat de rahe hai aur aap
bhi na, badey kamzor Lashkar unke peeche bhej rahe hai. Aur waise aap iss waqt yahan kar kya rahe hai ? Maidaan-e-Jung mein aapne abhi tak kadam kyun nahi rakha.?"
Moiz smirked. Iqbal's confusion deepened his eyes widening with a little anger this time.
"Aap bhi na Bhaijaan humein aaj tak samjhe hii nahi. Thodi aur khair mana lene do uss tota-myna ke jode ko. Aap ki tarah zaroor unhe bhi yehi laga hai ki main kitna bada bewakoof hoon jo kamzor Lashkar pe Lashkar unke peeche bhej raha hoon. Arrey unhe kya pata hamari shaitaani dimaag mein akhir chal kya raha hai. Thoda aur sabar karo, maarne wala unhe toh, jaise woh
dono humein pukartey thay ...Namard ! Haan ! Moiz hii hoga. Abhi hamara maidaan-e-jung mein kadam inayat karne ka waqt nahi aaya hai Bhaijaan, bas thodi der aur unko apne aakhri lamhon ki khushi mana leni dijiye"
Iqbal was more confused now "Zara humein bhi toh batayi Aye Sultan-e-Shaitaan Hind ki aap ka aakhir plan kya hai." (sorry about the mix of English here I couldn't find the right urdu word for plan)
"Khair woh chodiye" continued Iqbal as the next question he was about to ask was more important to be answered for him,
"Aapne humein yahan kyun bulaya hai ?"
This time Moiz threw a I-am-very-interested-to-answer-your-question glance at Iqbal.
Smiling proudly he said "Woh dono bhale hii talwaar baazi mein hum se do kadam aage ho, bhale hii ek saath unki taqat dungi se sau guna zyada ho, umdaa ladake ho, lekin ek cheez hai hamare paas jo unke paas nahi hai...shaatir dimaag. Ek akele hum unki barabari toh nahi kar payenge isiliye aapko bulawa bhejna pada"
"Woh baat toh theek hai Moiz Bhai magar muqabla phir waaqayi barabari ka ho jayega, woh bhi do aur hum bhi do. Aur abhi aap hi ne toh kaha ki who dono badey umdaa ladake hai, aur iss baat ko hum bhi thukra nahi sakte, aise mein woh hum dono par haavi bhi ho sakte hai, kahin chaal tedi na padh jaaye" Iqbal said, in disapproval of Moiz's plan
"Arrey hamari poori baat toh sunlo Bhaijaan" Moiz smirked evilly, "Usoolo ke bade pakke, umdaa jabaaz ladake, ek doosre ki mohobbat ko apni sabse badi taqat banake chalne wale woh bewakoof tota-myna ko yeh nahi pata ki unke liye, iss usoolo ka maara Sultan-e-Hind Moiz ne kya soch ke rakha hai..." he said laughing as loudly as possible, his shrills of laughter reaching the ears of his guards outside his tent.
They slowly broke their hug, but still held on to each other. Altunia wiped her tears with one hand while the other hand continued to rest on her waist. He had shared many moments with her, right from before their marriage to the ones after which would make him wish that time comes to a standstill because he felt he could never get enough of those moments with her. But never before he wanted time to stop this desperately as he wanted to continue holding her in his arms forever.
She looked at him with puffy eyes, smiled radiantly. Today she truly felt she was the luckiest woman on this earth to have found a man like him. Every wrong decision he had taken, just for her to come back in his life suddenly felt totally worth it to her.
Suddenly they heard a deep, painful shriek. They turned their heads at the source of the sound. They were horrified to see a soldier of theirs crying in pain, kneeling down,covered in blood. Around him were at least seven enemy soldiers who were responsible for this state of his. Yet the brave soldier of Altunia and Razia did not give up, he got up and the sounds of swords clashing rang in Altunia and Razia's ears.
Razia broke free of Altunia's clutches and was about to run in the direction of the unfair and uneven fight going on, when Altunia caught hold of her wrist. She looked at him and was surprised to find a gleam of mischief in his eyes again.
"Kahan chali aap humein itni jaldi chodke Mohtarma ?" he smirked even more mischievously.
"Kya Mirza, dekh nahi rahe hai aap, humari sipahiyon ko hamari kitni zarurat hai, hum jung ladne aaye hai janaab .. aur kisne kaha ki hum aapko chod ke jaa rahe hai ?"
"Lekin abhi tak hamara dil nahi bhara na Mohtarma, humein aur bhi baatein karni hai aapse" he said pulling her closer and taking her in his clutches once again.
"Toh saath chaliye na hamare, aur waise baaton se yaad aaya...aapne humein abhi tak bataya nahi ki Nikah wali raat ko aapne aisi kya gustakhi kii thi ? Aur yeh kya...dobaraa yun sabke saamne humein iss tarah pakad liya...chodiye" she said again struggling to break free.
"Accha" said Mirza with a bigger grin "Yun sabke saamne aapke shauhar aapko pakde ussey badi dikkat hai, lekin un sab logon ke saamne hum hii se nikah wali raat ki gustakhi ko dohrane ke liye keh rahi hai."
It was Razia's turn to smirk now "Kyun ? Aisa bhi kya kar diya tha aapne Subedar Sahab ? Ab toh aapko wahin sabke saamne jaake batana padega.
Altunia laughed " Theek hai Mohtarma, magar phir bolna nahi Mirza ne hoshiyaar nahi kiya tha, aur hamari ek shart hai, agar hum dono yahan wahan apne sipahiyon ki maddat karne jaa rahe hai toh, aapko humse vaada karna hoga ki ladte-ladte aap phir se hamari nazron se door nahi chali jayengi. Aapko hamare nazron ke saamne rehna hoga."
Razia looked at him thoughtfully for a moment and then said "Theek hai Subedaar sahib, ab chale ?"
Altunia smiled and kissed her forehead " Chaliye Begum Sahiba."
They both held each other's hands and ran towards the first gang of enemy soldiers they could see.
"Tum jaao, jaake uss siphahi ki maddat karo" Altunia instructed his soldier. "Hum inko dekh lenge"
The soldier obeyed immediately and bowed his head to them and ran to help the other one around them.
Within seconds, their backs were facing each other again occasionally as their swords clinked and clashed with the enemies.
"Aap chup kyun hai ?" asked Razia impatiently tilting her head to look at her husband who was fighting with two at once. "Batate kyun nahi ?"
Altunia chuckled "Aapko yaad hoga ki hum jab apne khwab gah mein aapke paas tasheef laaye thay, aur aapne badi be-rehmi se humein apne hi khwab gah se bahar jaane ko keh diya ?"
Razia pictured the beautiful night of their wedding, which to her at that point wasn't something beautiful, but today as she recalled it she felt a sensation of happiness. "Haan, yaad hai" she said half annoyed that he was still accusing her of trying to kick him out of his own bedroom, "Magar aise kyun keh rahe hai jaise aap sach mein bahar chale gaye thay ? Aap toh wahin
thay, kyunki kisine darwaze ko bahar se..."
"Bahar se ek bada taala laga kar bandh kar diya tha" Altunia finished the sentence for her trying not to laugh heavily.
"Haan bandh kar diya tha kisi gustaakh bewakoof kaneez ne bina dekhe ki andar koi hai bhi ya nahi." Said Razia a little irritably
"Woh bandh karne wala kaneez bewakoof aur gustakh nahi tha Mohtarma, hum ne uss darwaze ko bahar se bandh karwane ka hukum diya tha" he said and burst out laughing "Toh iss hisaab se kaneez toh bada wafadaar tha"
"Woh toh pata hai humein, aap hii ne kaha tha na, ki aapne apne kaneezo ko keh diya tha darwaze pe taala lagwane ko, kaha tha kyunki aap chatt pe raat bitane wale thay aur aapko pata nahi tha ki humne aapke khwab gah pe kabza kar diya hai" Said a very confused Razia.
Altunia couldn't hold his laughter this time. The howls of his laughter were very audible amid the loud clinking of swords. It looked more like Altunia was having some gala time rather than war-time. Razia frowned. "Arrey kya hua ? Aisa bhi kya keh diya humne ki aap itne zoron se hass rahe hai? Aur zara sambhal kar, ladayi pe bhi dhyaan dijiye"
But Altunia just contined to roar in laughter. Razia felt both annoyed and light now. It was after ages she heard him so genuinely happy. Like he had forgotten all the difficulties of life and seriousness of the situation today. He sounded like a child given his favorite new toy. His giggles and chuckles were soothing to Razia's ears. At the same time there was a part of her which was
getting more impatient by the second to know what exactly had happened that night and his laughter didn't seem to stop.
Finally with great difficulty and completely out of breath and amazed at his own skills for not losing his balance while fighting he told Razia " Aap jaisi bholi aur masoom insaan sach mein badey kam dekhne ko milte hai, aap ab tak nahin samjhi Mohtarma ki yeh sab hamari sochi samjhi saazish thi ? Zaroon aur Fatima bhi iss mein shamil thay."
"Kya !!!!!" said Razia shocked while Altunia turned quickly to see her shocked face as soon as she expressed her disbelief and threw his head in front of the soldiers again and laughed on their faces leaving them bewildered.
"Woh dono gustakh ! Fatima ko toh hum dekhlenge...lekin aap...aapne aisa aakhir kiya kyun ?"
At this question of hers, Altunia who was merely swaying his sword and just defending himself because he couldn't concentrate on killing them due to his deep distraction of having sudden raw happiness suddenly stopped laughing and instantly got his concentration back and with a clink and flick and swish, killed two soldiers. It was his turn to look back at her in disbelief only to
find himself facing her back instead. "Kya ?? Aap mazaak toh nahi kar rahi hai na Mohtarma ? Aap sach mein nahi jaanti kii humne aisa kyun kiya tha ? Yeh bhi aapko poochna pad raha hai ?"
Razia, heard all this and remained silent. She held her head down, going into deep thoughts. Yes she sort of knew why he did that, but chose to remain quiet. She wanted Altunia to speak up instead and authenticate what she was thinking. Looking at her lack of concentration, Altunia quickly came forward and kicked the soldier who was just about to slash Razia. The thud of him
falling down broke Razia's trance. Altunia gave her a sharp but amused look for losing her concentration and actually having to put herself into a trance to figure out all this.
Reading her mind and the look on her face he authenticated her thoughts, "On the most beautiful night of my life, of my wedding with you, it was NOT acceptable for me spend time alone or with anyone else but my wife that night. You were stubborn and adamant but so was I. I had other ways of getting what I wanted. There was no way in hell I would spend, neither let you spend
the night being apart from me. No way I would let the memory, of the night that comes just once in a couple's lifetime, be ruined.
Just because of your usual zidd ?? At any cost I would not let that happen. i was afraid that you would run away from the bedroom, hence my gustakh decision to avoid that from happening" he finished firmly
Altunia looked at her with an oddly seductive piercing gaze recalling that night in his mind. While he expected Razia to give a sulk, or annoyed or even a confused look to him, he was surprised to see her blush deeply and smile gracefully turning her face quickly out of shyness and to divert his attention and gaze from her she tried picking on a fight with the soldier. Still smiling to
herself, and while Altunia watched her for a few seconds with deep affection and too picked a fight with an enemy. As the swords clinked and swished, as the butterflies flew in their hearts and as they widely and dreamily continued to smile, they both recalled the night of their wedding in their minds.

sorry guys i knw i promised the nikah night flashback in the precap, but i need to make some changes in that and also had to show Moiz and Iqbals face here. so the chapter was getting too long...next chapter PROMISE nikah night
