Hello tvbuf, thank you for reading and for voicing your thoughts. 🤗 First of all let me just say that we all have our versions/images of Rudra and Paro that are equally right, and I don't mean to change your mind.
However, I do want to explain why I let Paro respond to Rudra's kiss:
First, this story is set just before the Jhaanki. By this time a certain level of intimacy had been established between PaRud. Like when she brought him a cup of tea and he twisted her wrists behind her, even when he let go her wrists she was enough in thrall to stay put. Then when he undid the clasp of her necklace on that rain-washed night, he was invading her personal space, touching her, and so on, but Paro did not loudly protest his nearness as she would have if Sumer had tried it ... She was attracted to him, unwillingly, hating herself for it, but there it was. 😃 Evident to Dilsher from before she returned on her own to stay with Rudra.
The second thing I considered was the nature of the medium and the audiences. RR was on TV for family viewing, and they were constrained in how they could show intimacy and how much. Fortunately I have no such constraints or qualms. And much like in an M&B, I can get as graphic as I want. 😉😃
Thirdly, the reason I wrote out Rudra's kiss at such length was because of how the kiss developed, how it changed from being forced on her to becoming soothing and healing, to appreciative and then to being caught up in desire. And after she had worked through her anger and hatred and pain in the kiss, all that remained for Paro to express was honest emotion in the heat of the moment.
For me Paro was nave but not shy. She was happy to take the first step - she did kiss him first eventually. She was a quick study and an ardent lover (the kiss on his forehead comes to mind). And when she took over the kiss, she echoed his moves.
And finally, I firmly believe that bodies have a language all their own. Paro alludes to it repeatedly in RR when she tells Rudra that his lips say something and his eyes something else. After all the layers of subterfuge have been cut through, it is the truth that remains. And after all the surface emotions were kissed away, for me PaRud had a moment of genuine, honest communication when finally they kissed.
So for me the Paro just before the Jhaanki in another medium was well within characterisation to lose herself in a kiss.
Gosh didn't realise it'd take so much writing to explain one kiss.😆

You write so beautifully and how clear is your understanding and reasoning of how Rudra - Paro behaved around each other and why !

I too believe they had submitted / committed themselves to each other subconciously, it was only their situations which brought out their adverse reactions!

They were indeed attuned to each other both mentally and physically.

Rudra never hurt her despite despising her on the grounds of her being a witness or traitor !
Paro never really shun him away despite him invading her private space. She actually began to depend on him or care for him genuinely.

You are so very correct in saying that bodies have a language of their own...which runs absolutely aloof from what the thinking mind has to say and this reaction is the most genuine one, not the one which the mind portrays to us. It is somethig not in your control and comes into picture only with the special someone which is why it is inexplainable why I love A and not B even though B may be better than A in all ways !

This is why for example: Paro could not bear hearing what Sumer was telling her after Rudra laid the option to get married to him in exchange for his forgiveness!
Sumer's one forward hand to touch her to console was despicable to her while we saw how she allowed Rudra to wash off haldi off her ! Aur kya kahein bataiye !! 😳

Omg ! what all Parud make me write ! 😆

Please continue... I love whatever you write dear Sabs !

I had a good sleep.. I remembered your OS !! hehe .

Honestly, the flow of emotions underneath the tension is the real charm in your story which was much evident in RR too till they screwed it with the obvious tragedy !

You have a very impactful way or shall I say choice of words to portray the emotion , I can imagine Paro bundled up tied down and finally carried away by him heaped on his shoulder !!

Thank you for writing it and please continue, please do ! 🤗

Ruchi dear, why did you steal my thoughts & write before I could ??? I read tvbug 2011's response & had to take care of some important stuff so now when I got down to writting , I saw you already beat me to it ...ditto..ditto...
Many felt it was strange the way Paro suddenly fell in love with Rudra after Mahashivratri but I NEVER did...she was attracted to him physically since the day one...if you remember even during the Mehndi ceremony , before she burnt her hands ( due to guilt ) she was smiling , she was happy but then suddenly something snapped ( her realisation that it's wrong, that she is a widow ) & she took that drastic step...even when she came to apply the haldi lep on sleeping Rudra & when he pinned her under him, she was not appalled, it was Rudra who took a step back not her...

I was curious how you were going to include that hot part between a visually hating couple, but you stumped me starting with Rudra's minute transition from concern to passion and it was mutual too...That was no doubt hot 😳

You have captured Paro's fear, struggle, anxiety, pain, helplessness in contrast to Rudra's power, authority, anger, deceit, ruthless with such simple yet powerful words...Beautiful just beautiful❤️

Looking forward for more😊

Thank you Deepsel for your generous appreciation. Embarrassed😃 Am so delighted that you found it engrossing and hot. Embarrassed I wasn't sure a mere kiss would be hot enough in the land of FFs where readers are treated to so much more, and couldn't do much more with PaRud just yet. So am ever so glad that you found it worth the read - thank you for telling me so.

Wow so many think the same

Year I have a different interpretation of Paro - if she returns the kiss by using her tongue and all, and this is her first kiss ever in life - that sounds more like Laila to me - lol

I see a Paro who would be shocked and angered, and not be returning kisses with the same style 😊

do you plan to kill us with ur superb writing??? I am already dead ufff ufff...am lacking of words because I need oxygen right now...BREATHE IN, BREATH OUT.
that was HOT...HOT...PASSIONATE & SENSUOUS
The way he looked at her 'licking her lips' and after that what followed... OMG!!!.

You made me have a "cold shower", I ,for one, certainly needed that after reading your totally heated up chapter & I am not just talking about the kiss...the entire update was RAW passion.
The way Rudra handled the intrusion, his presence of mind...ufff...was mind blowing...

You HAVE to write more...you just HAVE to...bas keh diya..

Cold shower ahoy!! 😆 Thank you, Navya, for your very warm encouragement!! You do say all the right things to send me floating on cloud 9.
As you can see I'm thrilled that you found it hot. I wasn't sure that just because it seemed hot to me any body else would agree. So at least now I know I'm on the same page as a lot of my readers.
So glad that the whole chapter appealed and not just the kiss - again I sweated a bit to keep the heat turned on.😉😃
And yes there will be a part 4..
