HAD I watched it while it aired, I am pretty certain I would have been so disappointed! It would have certainly been cheating loyal fans of over 2yrs had they after building 2 separate jodis cross matched them!! I don't think MJHT makers had that in mind at all!

but lol i have read a lot of speculation on something else when the leap was discussed.. considering that SaJan made love before marriage a lot of people expected Gunjan to have a baby by the leap start.. an unwed mother track.. lol how much of it was makers or how much from the fans I have no idea..

The established PH only work with tried and tested and repetitive stories.
A new PH with a new story needs the channel's backup. The channel needs revenue. And for this it needs audience. What does audience need difficult to predict.
The problem is this no more a world of "the slow and steady wins the race". Everyone needs quick results and money.

I think the makers did want to try a Gunjan-Mayank track, and they even got in a new girl for Samrat for that purpose ... but the fans were completely against it, both Mayur and Sajan fans ... so they had to backtrack. Even the actors were not happy with that track at all.
Then Rati was called back, and the S2 story went for a toss ... so they just carried the Sajan story to its logical conclusion and ended the show. The Mayur story had ended long before, so they ended that too with Mayur having twins .

The only people who speculated about Gunjan being an unwed mother was SBS 😆 fans did wonder why they showed them spending the night together just before the leap, but the makers never brought that in at all after the leap.

Thanks girls! I would have loved to see the Mayank-Gunjan track. Based on a couple of scenes in S2 I too felt that the makers were planning to take the story there but reverted because of fan pressure. Sunara, I know they called each other Jiju-Saali, but don't you know about saali aadhi ghar waali 😆 But I wouldn't have wanted the unwed mother track, that has been done to death on TV and in movies.
