Add a few points, please!! I'll be waiting!

Haha it's not confimed that Myrah = Paro - that'd depend entirely on TRPs. And even if she turns out to be Paro - I don't belive anything will be the same again! Mohini is changed, Dilsher and Mala are dead - the show has a whole different set up now!

If TRP skyrocked with Myrah I don't see them bringing Paro back at all. I have no expectations at all because of Sanaya words of it's a new character and how she will miss playing Paro character.

PaRud are soulmate but do makers cares for us? They just want TRP and if Myrah gain them TRP so course they will keep there Money making female lead.

You are right!
For CVs it's just business. And I have learnt my lesson the hard way, I'm not going to expect anything from them either! Not atleast in a way that'd break my heart later.

But ofcourse when I watch a stroy, I'm bound to speculate a bit about where this all is going. I'm not hoping too much, everyone is making their own theories, and at this moment nothing is sure. Let's just wait and watch, shall we? I'll accept whatever they give my way, as long as the story keeps me hooked😊

Hey Archie,

Well this is my mini-version of Old RR vs New RR! 😳

If I was to think and write, I guess you would go ! Hope you enjoy and it makes sense.

1. They focused on Rudra's career, BSD, Thakur, mission, his professional life and now it is more family oriented, his personal life. His job has taken a back seat, given he is retired and Aman, VK Singh Sir, Thakur,, Shantanu are all closed loops, just like that.

2. Mohini's devious plans have been reduced to petty comical ones, it is character deterioration from a villi's, vamps point of view. As an actor she is fantastic in both the avatars, undoubtedly. One was scared of her one-liners, back in the day and now she seems to make everyone laugh. 👏 (Would have added more, but given the current length of the post, I wouldn't dare do that)

3. it's been mentioned Rudra slowly started appreciating Mrs RPR, Paro and now seems to be having a greater value for her in the midst of her absence. He is father, a husband, a son and the new version is concentrating on how he is bearing the loss, while staying calm and composed.

4. Mythili - She has won the hearts of millions of fans lately. She is the neev, holding the Ranawats together and I think Paro's absence has made her maternal instincts shine bright. Her growth as a character is being highlighted, which is good from the previous one, a dari-dari si bahu. She stands up for what is right and now is the most needed member of the family.

5. Mythili-Rudra - She was and is a huge PaRud shipper, and her bond with him has strengthened along the course. In RR 1, he would trust her, seek guidance from her and now she is practically raising Dhruv with him. I think RR 2 is being watched, mostly because of her interactions with the kids, and Rudra.😳

6. Sumer - Well, he is come a long way, like now he is a father, a husband, a son and listens and is rational, not the chamcha of his mummy, plotting murders, kidnapping etc. He was a cool side-kick and now he seems to be the perfect companion to Shatapdi. I would like to see his fatherhood side, interact with Koel. He seems to have improved in the romance department too. Watching him scheme things Laila once, and now manofying his Mrs, is quite the treat for his fans. 😳
In the old RR, he did interact with Paro for not the right reasons maybe, was an accomplice in many mishaps, hurting Paro but in the end, he did manage to call her Bhabhi recently, accepting his SuRo Mahal was a silly idea after all.

7. Danveer - He was a constable at the BSD, stopped Paro from committing suicide and had a special place for his Bheendni, and was again a PaRud shipper. I He was perfect chota bhai, and accepted Mohini even after she confessed her feelings for Dilsher, so I guess Sumer's ko tractor-wala dil ke traits inn hi se mile the!😳 I like how is the perfect grandpa, worried about Dhruv and is handling Mohini well currently, with her bhoot syndrome.
He liked Rudra in RR 1 and now loves him in RR 2 and is best father-like figure Rudra could depend on and their bond has definitely strengthened, Dilsher would be proud.

8. Dilsher - Well, he was the first to suggest Rudra to marry Paro, and shared the best bond, with the then witness. I think his interactions with Rudra and Mohini were the highlight in RR 1. Their nok-jhok, one-liners were something to watch out for, such sarcasm - Top-notch writing.
It is sad they had finish of his character in a moment. I would have loved to see Koel interact with him, that would have made RR 2 even more fun. And yes, in no way would have Myrah dared enter the haveli and talk like that to Rudra, if he were alive. I think they lost an opportunity, by not keeping him after the leap. He was a father, who could have bonded with the ML and make TRP uncles emotional.

9. Mala - Well.. I loved her as Thakurain, she really loved Paro as a daughter and fate had written it that Paro would end up marrying her son. She was given decent screen space in the beginning with Thakur and I think, people loved the twists and turns in RR 1. Many were wondering if she is the mother, who left her son for Thakur, it had a certain sense of connection, an emotional bond from viewer's point of view. Her bit as Thakurain was lavishly portrayed and I think many loved her, but her entering as Mala, the mummy made things go downhill, it could have taken a superb turn, but the speed with which things were wrapping up, her return wasn't completely justified. One could remember, the B'Day party, Rudra addressing her as Maa sa, it felt out of the blue and well, a bit rushed at that moment. I would have liked her help Paro with Shanty's revelation.
In RR 2, she had the perfect opportunity to re-live the lost 15 years, they could taken the son-mother bond slowly, yet she comforting Rudra after a cremation was necessary and would have liked her to share some more screen space. She could have been the link to the Myrah case, as in, help recollect (Amnesia track) and well, Thakur could have made a comeback. (There is version running in my mind, but given the length of the post currently, I would spare the details😳 )

10. Thakur - I think his presence made fans crazy for a villian as crooked and handsome as him. He did fit the bill and was quite the competition to the BSD. If the story stuck to it's roots, I truly believe his character would have not just disappeared, absconding. His scheme, with Shanty's entry could have turned tables, alas things took us on an emotional roller-coaster ride of a lifetime. He was in a way the heart and soul of RR 1, having hadn't he stressed on Paro's wedding, Rudra would never had raided a baaraat and the rest is history😳 ...
If he is back to ship Myrah and Rudra together, this time, lets hope he is a poet and has no mooch. What if he is Rohit? He is young in real life we all know that. 😆

11. Aman - His not being included in RR 2 is heart-breaking, an indication that all the routes to Rudra returning to BSD are literally closed. He was the one who admired his boss, and we admired him for this admiration of his. He was an official PaRud shipper, right from the T and I think not giving him a proper send-off is pretty upsetting. The old RR focused on friendship and I think he was close to becoming a family member. At this point, I wouldn't have minded him romance Sunheri, he could have become a Ranawat officially.

12. VK Singh - He was the one who helped Rudra crack open the case, his mentor, his well-wisher and a close family member. He was invited to a B'Day party and I think that was very sweet of Paro to invite his boss. In the old RR, he was efficient, handled his cases well, was rational, guided Rudra, help him through his professional life and ensured the Major did not make any mistakes. In new RR - He is missing, just because Rudra resigned. I would love to see a flashback, focusing on this issue and Sir trying to woo him back, with Aman requesting that Rudra's resignation not be accepted. This is a HUGE loophole and definitely some unfinished buisness. Till now, we do not know if the Sarhaad Paar scheme was cracked open or not?

13. Laila - I think probably the first time on Indian Telly they focused on the fact that the lead is grey character, has a physical relationship with someone other than the FL and I think this is where RR was outright unique. It irked many and was critically acclaimed at the same time. The audiences welcomed it, with a broad-mindedness, because the lead had a bitter childhood and sincerely hoped the interactions on-screen were kept to a minimum. The dialogues were enough to get the ball rolling, and yes to make the leads realize their value for each other. She did trigger the emotions in Rudra during the Haldi sequence. I think her re-entry was dragged, and as an actor when the script failed she took a decision, but I think she could have gotten a better closure. In RR 2, if she were to enter - Hmmm.. Would love to see her romancing Rohit and make Myrah jealous😆 Rudra explaining things to Dhruv would be the highlight!😆

14. Geetanjali Mam, VK Sir's wife - What a treat she was! Brilliant, such a sweet heart and she adored Rudra and Aman, and I guess she was the perfect hostess. Being a wife of an officer, she had the grace, poise and definitely left an impact. I think if she had accidentally come across Rudra's resignation, she would have outright torn it apart and wooed him back to stay in the BSD and crack open the Sarhad paar scheme, get back the 17 girls, Nandu jija included...

15. Sunheri - Well.. from being the girl handing over a Murabba ka dibba to her future bhabi sa, she did ultimately became a bua. She was the college going kid and in her final year ended up being almost married to a physco. Her abrupt exit during the leap makes less sense, as she could have helped her brother grieve, given she was romantically involved with Paro's killer. The last few episodes, she was given large screen space and within minutes it was stolen from her. She is now supposedly in her relatives house, while she could have been having fun with Dhruv and Koel. It would have given closure to Rudra, he could have discussed about Shantanu, with her and may have bonded more.

16. Shantanu - Was he really Varun's brother? I still deep deep down feel, he was an aadmi hired by thakur to act the whole thing and that the real Shantanu is out there. 😳

I did not understand his intentions - Did he want to hurt Paro, Rudra individually or PaRud together? How come he did not harm Dhruv, maybe taken him away with him, rather than killing Paro? What did he achieve at the end of all the drama - he hurt Rudra and then, thats it? A villian always leaves the hero triumphant in the end, not grieving-type wala hero/father. He entered the haveli, got caught, escaped jail and shot his bhabhi, where was his agenda as in, he did not get to live to see Rudra suffer?

Well, how come we did not see him, at the wedding. They could have cast him way earlier and included the revenge then and there itself. Rudra would be against - Thakur and a brother (personal agenda). It could have made things brilliant and we would have seen a scared Paro, maybe even trust Shantanu and side with him, given he promises her he would kill her husband's murderer. The plot would have thickened and Rudra would have 2 witnesses and wouldn't have had a conflict of interest. Shantanu would have bonded with Paro, help her escape only to reunite her with her sister and make things worse, trap her. This would have led Rudra to uncover the scheme of Thakur and I would go on.. I notice this is going haywire and I could start a mini-FF at this stage!😆

17. Paro/Myrah - Well, RR 1 focused on her being the witness to becoming a fiance, then to a loving wife and lastly to a mom who sacrificed her life for her kid, her love. RR 2 is focusing on a character opposite to her, in looks, mannerisms, thinking, behavior, allowing fans to oscillate between the fact that, is she or is she not Paro. Paro was cremated as per seen in the episode and well, bringing her back as an NRI seems absurd, from Rudra's point of view, he would never accept anyone else in place of his late wife, and if at all she turns out to be his wife, with a serious illness, that would reflect badly on Paro. (If the amnesia track is not happening)

Paro may have been rushed to a hospital, things happened and the wrong person ended on the pyre. So how did she instill a memory loss? Would Rudra have let go, just like that? He would have gone to the end of worlds to help her. So it is obvious that he had no idea about Paro's sudden disappearance and would be pretty angry if Myrah simply turned out to be Paro, having he suffered 7 years, Dhruv was at stake and assuming she did not have amnesia.

Why would she leave her family at the first place? What made her take such a drastic step? Why would see become a Mala and wander off into the other part of the world - To study, live there, far far away from her soul mate and her child?NO, she was in pain, manipulated, kidnapped, we do not know. But she would never leave her loved ones stranded. If she has a memory loss, wouldn't her current parents want her to find out about her past, unless and until she is related to Paro. Her background is slowly being revealed, while we watch the Ranawats in the 7 years gap, would we get a know Myrah's past - Is that the "kamaal ka twist"? It makes no sense, to me. I think that this is why Rudra is apprehensive about the fact that Myrah could be Paro,

Her attitude - Yes, Paro was docile, polite, strong woman. Myrah is a modern-age, bubbly and talk-to-my-hand kind of girl. So for him to even consider her being anywhere close to Paro is out of the picture. 7 years - one changes personalities, develops professionally, personally. But for Paro it is a step back. She is gotten younger, a student from college. Wouldn't the age count?
Paro was 20+ when she was with Rudra and had Dhruv, so even if she was in the US for 7 years, with a memory loss, how could she currently, be a college graduate, as in, fresh out of college. I am assuming she has done her PG too!😆 Only that would fit the bill.

Dhruv's innocence is making Rudra and Mythili think rationally, face reality. Myrah's a instant hit with Mythili and the kids, so she shares a un-named, mysterious bond with them, so why not with Rudra, if she is Paro? She seems to judge him, demean him, make him question his fatherhood, his role as a husband, whilst she being a tourist and he her Security Officer? This is, I think Paro's way of reaching out to Rudra, in the form of Myrah, until it is proven. She triggers emotions, just like she once did. She was feisty, answered back, took a stance, until she was proven wrong. (Thakur's reality and now maybe Rohit's reality, or her being a Mummy with memory loss)

Okay, I have no idea where I have reached and how I have reached to this point, I am sorry, had dinner in-between and lost touch in the last bit.

Wow!! I have said it time and again - you are a pro at analysing stuff!

I love how you have taken up every character and pointed out the minutest of changes in them. Beautifully written!👏

Loved what you wrote about Maithili. That woman is truly the neev of the Ranawat family, and I love watching her! And yes, she has grown as a character, I should have included her in my post.

About Shantanu - well CVs just rushed with that track! It could have done in a much better way but that is also true for most tracks in RR. What to say!

About Myrah - what you said is right - she does seem younger than Paro. But at this moment, we aren't very concerned about logic, as you can understand😆 Desperate souls!
