Nice review on the two. I agree with the way u explained it. And yes rr 1 was very unique thats why i watched it in the beginning.

RR 1 was unique & different and so was Paro as a character. But of course TRP viewers isn't ready to accept something different as non of the
unique shows are doing well on Indian TV.

RR2 is an old wine in the bottle but it will connect with TRP viewers more than the old RR.

Well said 👏

Caused a wave of nostalgia pass through me while I was reading..
RR 1.0 was indeed unique in its own ways..I'm missing it badly..
but such is life..!
RR 2.0 is totally different to 1.0 and not bad either..enjoying it at the moment.

Thank you so much!!
RR 1 was so unique, I feel bad everytime I think about the potential it had. Alas, it could not carve out a niche for itself..Truly, such is life!

I love RR 2 😊 Hope TRPs are more favorable this time...

Thank you dear!!
Me too, I loved how unique the story and the characters were. Sad it could not be retained.

I love RR 2 now...Hope this works out better than the last one. But I will miss RR 1 always!

Good post and interesting take.
RR1 was unique as you say and for most of us I think it was the best. It gave us a unique pairing of Parud which were the best on screen couple in a long while. I miss it badly but it never did click with the TRP audience.
RR2 I am still trying to get use to it. I don't know if I will ever be able to accept it fully like I did RR1.

To me, seriously RR 1 was much better, the only problem is that the creatives rushed the love story, they forced the romance, had they taken their time I fee that the TRP viewers would have connected.
I liked the old characters better, I prefer the mean aunt, the arrogant hero, the idotic brother, the not so right father of the hero, couldn't stand the mother, but still they could have milked her situation better, by showing that she left because she loved the old villain and still did, even though she wants to work in getting to know her son. And of course my most important character, the heroine, I loved loved loved her, to death, I still am not viewing the screenplay because she was killed off for stupid reasons and that too in such a fast way when they could have gained increased ratings from her demise. Sadist I know, but if she had to die, I would have thought her being the essence of the show that they would have done it better.

Now coming to the new RR, RR2, I can't say if it is working yet, though it looks like it, but but for me, I simply am detached from the show, I like the new girl and her attitude, but not at the expense of the old heroine. The hero, I liked the old one better.

The aunt, as I said before I liked the old one better.

The kids, I could honestly do without, I get bored seeing kids scenes. I don't think the replacement kid can connect with the audience like the first one they cast.

I too will start viewing this as a new show, once we know for sure that the new girl is indeed not the heroine.

I am appall at at the way the creatives treated that character, her death and her background, I curse them ten thousand times for killing her, and rubbing it in our face the similarities and differences between this new one and the old one.

I am over it. 🥱
