I think the poor male leads share all their clothes with each other, unlike the ladies who have to get clothes stiched to fit them.
I have seen noticed various actors wearing the same color shirt or exact same suit in different serials. Maybe the, PH or the Channel keeps a pool of common clothes, which don't require a particular fit...like shirts, blazers and ties and they keep passing it on to the actors!
Its a small investment to make which makes a big difference to the character and the quality of the show. If you are showing a guy from an army background, you have to show him clothed appropriately and having a certain standard. You can't make Major Rudra Pratap Singh look like Saraswatichandra or Naitik Singhania. He is a different character, he has to be shown dressed accordingly.

Yes, I've noticed that too. Especially in the case of sherwanis. They all seem to be wearing the same one across serials and their respective functions and occasions. Same for the actresses too frankly.

If they need to share, fine. Just chose a more tasteful set of clothes. Like you said, how hard can that be? Just pick up any current men's fashion magazine. Enough ideas and inspiration on display there. They just need to get their head out of whichever weird 60's alternate world they seem to be living in.

In the last serial I watched (IPK), the male lead had three suits, a black, silver and dark brown. While the colours were fine, the material? Oh my God! It was that cheapy shiny stuff. You could literally see the shine of that tacky cloth. And he was supposed to be a millionaire!

If the actors are anyway going to share clothes across serials, then a one-time investment in maybe three or four good quality suits can't be so hard to manage, can it? And with some good Indian brands in the market now, they're not even that expensive anymore.

So basically the problem lies in just simple bad taste.

I really want to hear the explanation of how an army officer who loved his uniform so much watered himself down so much that he could wear this fantastic suit combination. 😆

Rudra's stylist has bad taste period! First those hideous jackets and now this suit! And why would a bodyguard be in a shiny suit with a red silk shirt? That too in the heat of Rajasthan? Hope the rest of the wardrobe is a bit better...
BTW, I loved him in the colorful 'chest baring' kurtas 😊

I so agree with you!!!! In RR, there was this kurta - the multicolored patterned one - the one with blue, violet and golden yellow or something like that... and it is a favourite among all the male actors of almost all shows, ranging from SP to Zee to Clolors!!! And even to award shows...
And who could forget the curious case of a millionaire owner of a fashion house, managing his entire life with just 3 sets of glossy suits!!!!! 😆
The designers for the shows need to be better acquainted with the characterizations and the PH's need to cough up some more money to suit the leads!!!!

I really really hope they don't give a Rudra a three set wardrobe of colourful shiny suits. ...shudder
