The last few weeks have been one helluva roller coaster ride in the world of RR. So much has happened...so much has been experienced emotionally...so much has been said and written and ranted about and cursed and accepted and hoped and prayed for and so on and on...

I've been reading silently thus far...empathising with some, disagreeing with some, surprised at some, and to be honest even been amused at times at some reactions... no offense meant, it was just a normal reaction to some posts. You have to admit some have been quite out there! :-)

I don't need to list the unexpected events that have been occurring at regular and super fast speed over the last few weeks. Till now, I was content restricting myself to just reading...

But today, the most unexpected thing happened. In all my wildest imaginations I would have never come up with anything like this...

Rudra in a mauve suit and red shirt!!!!

Seriously?

Like seriously?

Who wears that? I mean really? Tell me. Who in God's name wears that combination?

Only in the wonderful world of our Indian TV can some talented "costume designer" think that mauve suit and red shirt are an attractive combination.

I mean where do they get these tasteless people? From the back of beyond?

You take an extremely handsome man, who people are used to seeing in an army uniform...one of the most distinguished outfits a man can wear...and you put him in this peacock creation?

Agree. That was one ugly suit. When I read the SBS update, I imagined him in a dark navy blue suit, with a crisp white shirt, but this color was such a disappointment. Sanaya looked pretty though.

Yes, no complaints about Sanaya's outfit. Simple and understated, yet pretty.

It's a good thing Ashish is so handsome! That colour combination man...I wish it was a black, grey or navy 3 piece instead! Would have looked amazing on him!

I mean he still looks good...but that suit LOL

Designers ko tweet karo.. #suchislife!! Rudra used to wear those bright colored kurta.. N was looking good..

Ashish looks great with the three piece but I'm dissatisfied with the color!!

I know! I mean can you imagine how delicious he would have looked in a black suit? How dignified?

I don't know know why our TV world costume so called "designers" are stuck in this 1960's world where colourful suits ruled.

No man should ever ever ever wear colourful suits. They look hideous. Period.

No. 1 Rule of Fashion: Mens' suits should only be black, grey, dark dark blue, beige (possibly), or dark brown.

All other colours should be burned!

Hahahaa...well, it was just such a shock to my eyes that I couldn't stop myself from posting. It's just that this colouring of suits is so archaic.

Its not just this show, but across television, all male actors are forced the don on the most atrocious and hideous looking clothes possible. Purple, indigo, bright pink, lime green...think of any ghastly color and one or the other male leads across any show in any channel would be found wearing it! The only exception I can think of is Karan Patel's character in YHM...whenever I have seen him in the show, he's mostly in whites and pastel linens.

Ashish wearing a bright kurta suited his character, he is a Rajasthani...they wear bright, warm colors, but a suit is a western outfit...its supposed to be in muted colors, only then does it look good.

Female actors on the other hand get to wear the prettiest of clothes and jewels and look like a million bucks all the time!
