The thing is they enticed us with the promise of cheese-filled, butter naan. But then they stopped throwing the dollop of butter on top. Fine. And they replaced the original cheese with some healthy, lean cheese like cottage cheese. Okay. Then they reduced quantity of said cheese. Hmm. Then they replaced the refined flour with wholewheat flour. Now it is just roti, better than other rotis, but still just a roti. And that hurts tbh. But I agree that the constant bickering makes it impossible to enjoy the show in whatever form it maybe. But I don't think it is destroying the show. What is destroying the show (if in fact it is getting destroyed) is the makers are trying to be everything to everybody and in the process leaving everyone cold. When art competes with market dynamics, you will end up with some watered down version of it. If we all agree on this we will be less hurt and less volatile as a result.
I admire you for making this post, you make a compelling case for why we should be less militant-like just because we have cheap Internet. I always love reading your thoughts, your fiction pieces, I hope my post does not come across as being needlessly negative. I promise I don't partake in any of these discussions. Your post seems like a 'safe space' and hence I am posting a wordy response.
I am still watching the show. Paro and Rudra are still my OTP. Sanaya is still my favourite tellywood gal. Ashish is one of the three desi men who makes my heart sing kuch kuch hota hai. So, not leaving now. In fact, I will continue watching until they show us that consummation scene. Even if you and Asma believe it has been edited out. At some point we are bound to get a flashback of it 😆

Rr is the best serial .whr in every character has its own place. If story was based on othello then the track is really apt. Vishaal is best actor. Am all in for rr. Parud scenes r lovely n treat to watch n not like other serials whr in they over do it.they r like real rudra n parvati when rudra gets hyper paro calms himn when paro is hyper rudra calms her with sweet words shant shant main hoon na. Lets be positive like them n enjoy our RR.

Okay, I am totally embarrassed by the number of typos in my earlier post. But unlike the RR team I am going to stay true to my original vision and typos, and not tweak it anymore 😆

Dear Navin!
just got a chance to read your post and I think it was the need of the hour for someone to pick up the trail and put forth things which we all feel but are inherently boggled down by the supreme" I don't like this ... I want something else... I think it should be like this " chants that we forget that RR is really our show, if you feel that way it is!
This is a difficult time for RR and I would like to say only one thing, please stick to it if you really love it and the reason could be as small and ridiculous as one can think of...but if you really like it then accept it with good things and bad. Choice is never an option for someone in love with something ! It is supposed to be unwavering and unconditional in the true sense . I am not saying we cant crib or vent out, that is the beauty of a relation but then we can always give it a chance again and again , not loose on hope and why so ! because I love it and I Love Sanaya / Ashish and Parud because they are a couple never seen before on TV and it has indeed captured the minds, thoughts and loads of time of all baisas' here.
There are some things one can't let go off even if you have to suffer a bit for it.. ? Can you let go of it sooo easily ??
and RR is the one here.
I'm not going to leave it for any reason... let the makers play out their story . I will only sit back and watch for Parud only if not for anything else.
Maine toh dekhnaa hi hai .. kisi bhi haal mein. bas !
So all my dear ladies...lets be positive and let go of f all negativity and bashing of any kind. After all, RR ka sawal hai yaar ... once it goes off screen, there will be nothing we would be able to do to see it again ... there won't be any Paro to make you smile... or a Rudra to make you go ...☺️. so please make hay while the Sun shines. Baki sab apne aap acha ho jayegaa..
🤗

Aap nahi dekhenge, meri saath?
Yes, I will watch with you...for Paro and Rudra!!

I enjoy Paro and Rudra characters and their relationship.
They are two people who came together for each other.
They talk, tease, question, look for each other, are childish at times but always for each other...this is love and I love it!! There is no pride or prejudice between the two.
The dynamics of the dysfunctional family is also slowly changing for the better due to Paro and Rudra..
This is the only Indian soap I am watching and it is because of Sanaya.
However, I am enjoying Sanaya and Ashish as Paro and Rudra.
I will watch until the last episode.

I will let the PH and Channel take care of their show.
I am in the States so I watch on line.

IF and RR forum - If I see something interesting I read and like, occasionally make a comment else I move on. I depend on my opinions so not bothered by others!! 😊

Thank you for the beautiful positive thread. 👍🏼

Napster, you ask why I am reading this post? The answer is simple. because you wrote it :-)
I would love to discuss some of the world crisis here as well with all of you folks. And am sure get some divergent view points though I think the IF moderators might not like it so much...
getting back to RR... extreme reaction is a sign of extreme involvement. You can be sure that the ones who say "F*** am outta here" are the ones who are sure to watch every episode diligently. Along with the ones who love RR. So the viewership of both these groups is guaranteed.
The fence sitters who are watching the episodes and some of them have even joined the forum are the ones to watch for. This is the crowd, whom ST must look to entice. Its an interesting conundrum to try and find out what is in the mind of these viewers. And then bring them back to RR. Not to mention the vast unwashed public who have not even heard of RR.
Also I got to say that ST himself is not helping his case by tweeting about changing TRP system and it not being fair etc. He is pointing out the fact that his TRP's are not good and he is unable to find a way to counter it. All PH's are constrained by these boundaries and they are living with it. Restrictions are always the best triggers to creativity. It should not stop you from telling your story. You only need to get more innovative in how you tell it that will soar the TRP's.
The Iranian film industry is a fascinating example of rising above restrictions and still making world class movies! for god sakes they cant even have a male and female in the same frame. But yet they make some powerful movies...
Like someone else pointed out on this forum, DD used to make some hard hitting serials about real life issues that were block busters.
So ST should really be focusing on how to get those 8000 monitored TRP boxes to be tuning in to his show. Seems he has all that he needs to do it - fantatstic story line, superb and popular actors, prime time slot.
Now he needs to innovate. Take an honest look at where the shortfall is and fix it. He needs to tell the story in his head but in a manner that will reel in the audience. Which department is failing him in this task? Not wildly jerk the story around in an attempt to garner TRP's
Another area is marketing. And I really cant shake off the feeling that this is the problem. RR is not marketed at all. heck even on the same channel there are hardly any promo's. I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with finances. ST needs to pay up or renegotiate the marketing. Right now, it really sucks. If the audience don't know about the serial, how will they watch it?
I have rambled on and on about various things... but I really don't think the forum negativity is a big factor. There are bigger things that need to be addressed first...
