interesting discussion , here is what i feelcolors is not a star plus agree there but star plus also IPK was not a chart topper from the 1st episode , they worked their way up , the quality and plot improved , yes they did modify a few tracks like the office track to home etc , but they didnot fully give ineventually they established a connect with the characters for a 'certain audience' , that resulted in curiosity , and so the dance sequence etc resulted in huge trp gainthats is a product's or makers successhere with RR , they were not able to establish the connect with the audience , forget trps ,lets take forum as a sample ,its a biased sample because people have much more reasons to watch the show , still i see a lot of inactive IDs these days , half i say , thats the trp numbersso how is the channel responsible , there is drop in everywhereBV IPK or RR the audience might be very different but reason to success is the same establish a connect with a certain audience group, make that audience curious to watch the next episode , make it a habit -create loyal audience base -this can be done only my the makers , channel is a support function (unless the channel interferes in the basic plot itself)channel can be held responsible if in other platforms the show is hugely appreciated except in one platform , thats a distribution error then , here thats not the casethe fact colors doesnot have trp topper show , but any show in colors has the platform to be a trp topper show (BV or KNWK example) soi whats stopping them -contentother shows of colors is also not doing well only means the content or the intrinsic quality of other show is also lackingPS trps and quality are not fully correlated , that i agree , some amazing shows were not trp toppers , some trp shows are not amazing , but i am not sure if RR fits into the any of these categoriesPSS no offense intended , i understand the concern , but i will quote a friend in IF , criticism is because we know they are capable of more :-)
Priya I do get what u say, but my point is, why doesn't colors have a SINGLE fiction show that has good TRPs?
And compare the TRPs of their none-fiction shows with the stats of the same shows from the previous year. Kapil's show, JDJ. They might have more than their fiction shows - but they have lesser stats in comparison to last year.
What worked for IPK as u said was they stuck to what they started despite changing the dressing a little bit. And it worked wonders. And that is RR's biggest fault and I would be the first to admit it, considering I have thrown in the towel more times than any of the 3-4 of u who r discussing here.
And u r correct that unlike last time this time the reason many of us online sticking for crappy tracks is a different reason starting with 's' lol.. so yes.. there is that, and I am not absolving the PH/ show of the responsibility.
But telling that if RR came in SP I am 100% sure it would have much much higher TRPs than it currently has is something I strongly believe in!
cz honestly even the butchered tracks of this show is much better than what SNS has showed ever (have watched and actually liked it in the beginning - was active on the forum etc etc.. so i don't hate the show just using something I know for an example)
SO for me the channel reach issue - or rather what Guinea di one day explained about the increased region of collecting statistics being none-colors dominated areas is a major reason for the dismal ratings across the channel. cz let's not forget that there were a few years when this channel managed to beat SP on the 1st spot and now its on the 4th barely missing being the 5th this week!
PS: No offense taken I am probably much madder n more disgruntled at the way some POVs of this show is presented than all of u put together!😆
