I hate posting these topics, because they tend to put up a negativity, which I don not like myself...but cannot help it.. After seeing the TRPs for the last week...I am upset (an understatement). I have been a die hard fan of Sanaya Irani 😊...and I want desperately want this show to do well...but somehow the show isn't clicking with the "TRP" audience 😔. Its a fact that for me and most people in this forum...the TRPs do not matter...but it does matter for the channel...and for a show to sustain itself...TRPs are required (whether we like it or not).
I hope atleast one production house member reads this post (or atleast any other post which is dealing with this)...and some idea dawns on them
This is not clicking because...
1. The story promised an intense and different love story...it may be intense...it may be different...but where is the love story?? It's yet to unfold even after 5 months, and when it is growing up again some useless tracks are being thrown in which could have been delayed...I understand that other tracks are required for a serial's success...but they shouldn't be more important than the main track. The lead pair has an awesome screen presence...but due to some poor editing at times...it is not projected well. 😔
2. Secondly, the tracks aren't shaping up...why?? We were waiting for a separation track...where Rudra would repent...we got a micro mini separation track...for 10 minutes...and when the lead pair has an intense scene going on...we have some useless scenes of Laila/Thakur/Thakurain thrown in from nowhere. Was that required at all? I dont think so...this track could be delayed for atleast 3 days. I will watch this show come what may...but TRP aunties (like my mother)...will switch the channel to another. 😔
3. The development of side characters is another issue...though they get ample screen space and time, there characters aren't shaping well. Mr. Kaliprasad Mukherjee (Rudra's father) is an excellent actor, but he isn't being utilised. Maithili's character also has potential, but despite getting screen space, she isnt being developed. And the villains...I am sorry to say...Thakur is now looking like a comedian to me. 😔
There are many more points...but all can't be put down.
I sincerely want Rang Rasiya to do well and top the TRP charts also. 😊
