Hiral!

Its such a pleasure to read your opinions here, because honestly if you right and they are deliberately building up Rudra's development intentionally, it would be a first for Indian serials. And I agree they need to, as you point out-- precisely because the CVs need him to be developed enough to NOT sink into a self destructive spiral when Paro leaves him. Such growth would be incredible, and I, for one, would be amazed and impressed.

I think that your analysis works, even if you see it as an instinctive thing Paro is doing. In tonight's episode he proves that he recognizes that the biggest form of love is one where there is sacrifice, were there is no expectation in the love other than just...the act of loving. He says he sees it in Paro, and this gives me a great deal of hope that he will understand her tyaag, when it comes, and not harm himself, or her, because of it. Thank you for bringing this up--no one else did, and I love you for it! Please do comment more, and I'll look up your comments as well since they are very insightful!

Navin

Navinsa,

The pleasure is mutual dear. I love you too.

Frankly, I fail to see any difference between my Rudradev and his Parvati when it comes to matters of the heart.

You know they are like the gaps between the fingers of our hands, interconnected in every way. These gaps are filled when clasped by another hand, preferably of our loved and revered one, always.

Inseparable and mirrors of each others' soul.

Their sensitivity about each other is mind boggling and seldom found in runoff the mill couples, a plethora of whom claim to be madly and deeply in love with each other only to expose their claims when chinks of inequality, expectations and incompatibility start falling from their polished armors.

Frankly my Rudradev and Paro, they do not need anybody else as they are an universe amongst each other.

A beautiful world filled of love and longing. Sometimes I fail to understand why do they even speak.

The silence between them is so beautiful coz their souls converse constantly through their eyes.
And THIS is not a regular at all. It is a very unique trait and occurs only those who are so blessed or are the chosen ones.

I keep on reading in the forum that Paro is god's chosen one due to her rock solid faith in her Bholenath and so be it, but I think that mhaara Rudradev is my God's own child and that's why he has suffered so much to attain nirvana or God's love. And this nirvana comes to him in form of the another chosen one: Paro. His Paro.

I know the classic argument here is that God never lets his chosen ones suffer but what I am saying is that Rudra has suffered so much in his life of nearly three decades that there has to be a closure.
A closure that brings him neverending happiness and peace so that he can breathe pure and fresh air and not carbondioxide.

And as I see, both are changing. They were bound to.

Paro because she has began to understand that her Superman is human, that too an extremely scarred one and Rudra because he is fighting with himself for preparing towards taking baby steps in to an unchartered territory of humungous and unending love, happiness and peace.

Despite the entire Forum's almost collective call to see the old Rudra back, i think it may not happen to that extent or so soon.

He has been stung by love and trust me the feeling is so powerful that it dumbs down the negative emotions mainly like anger and restlessness or his tandav so to say.
He has mellowed and it's the first thing to experience when love happens.
There comes a time when presence of the special person calms you down so much that you would not like to go back to your old self as it hurts you big time now.
And plus you are extremely happy in the shadow of that beautiful person feeling so secured that negative emotions are often kept at bay. They are there but almost useless.

But all this is a figment of my own imagination and I am no Saurabh Tewary.

I got hooked to this show coz I was and am zapped by the similarity it mocks with my marriage so far ... but now with saas bahu appeasement tracks... the less said the better... I understand that this is how the business of television show is... however, despite this my Rudradev and his Parvati are treat to my eyes, heart and soul.

And I don't know where have I started and where am I going.. if I keep on going like this... see?

Rudradev has made me completely wayward I tell you...😆 anyways...
someone whom I love like crazy once told me that it takes at least eight births to know a person in and out ... and at least five years to know your partner in a marriage.
It took exactly five years for Nehal and me to figure out where we stood in our marriage and we did find us standing together...

One thing I am super confident about, going by personal experience, is that my Rudradev and his Parvati will soon find each other and how! and their journey together is going to be celestial...

Oh god.. I have goosebumps... and everyone says that Rudradev and Parvati are fiction???...

Now you made me cry...

Wonderful post and lovely take on Paro and Rudra. I do not have much to add but I can tell you that when I read it,I had tears in my eyes for both these people. Despite knowing that they are not real,I could relate to them so much through your post. It felt as if I was a silent spectator in their lives, kind of a bittersweet moment. You have a way with words which touches people. Please never stop writing 👏 A hug for this mindblowing post 🤗

You know I have never been troubled by Paro's characterisation. Surprisingly I have always got her. But now that I read this stunning piece of writing, I realise that I may have had a very simplistic understanding of her and her relationship with Rudra. I had stayed away from the forum because of the constant bickering and skirmishes that was really reducing my enjoyment, but I am glad that I found this post of yours (found it linked on tumblr). Your insight and writing - both so brilliant. Thanks for this post.
