But today's highlight was when Paro mentioned that it was in his past BEFORE she came. She has no problem with Laila. She then goes on to feel that she has no place in his life to question him. HE hasn't given her any right. He hasn't even given her a mangalsutra. To top it all there are those 7 hate vachans . She keeps thinking of the 'I will give you no happiness nor will I let you be happy' vachan.

So now her 'destiny' theory has taken a big hit. She who thought of a fairy tale where the sweet maiden tames the arrogant beast and they live happily ever after... is now slapping herself on her face and wondering if it was all her imagination. How can she have been so nave. What hold does she have on him. For gods sake, they weren't even married properly!

She conveniently forgot that she is to leave him one day. They could have shown that here to highten her confused feelings. Today was all about what Paro feels about the Laila issue.

Hi Malika...In bold,...completely agree with you...
In red...are two misses...IMO...the dialogue about her questioning the "right" was not accurate...while Rudy gave her the right to decide to let Laila stay in the first place...I think the issue was about her feeling insecure about her place in his heart...not an issue about a right...The second one is a miss but not a big one...because what we saw today was the immediate reaction...the knee jerk response...there is more to come...

Paro didn't want to be the type to, feel insecure for her husbands past fling, feel jealous for something that happened before she entered his life, not trust her husband when he said it is over and kick Laila out knowing that her life is in danger... No way. She can't do that. She can't stoop so low. She wanted to raise above all those feelings and do the right thing by letting Laila stay. This girl has some guts I say...👏 No typical FL Bashan, Rona, ablanari card... She stood strong to what she believed in.👍🏼

Hope,

Very well written. I am sure Sush will be very happy to see the part above. Right , Sush ?

Leesan: Wow! Such a simple ,well articulated yet elegant response to Paro's conundrum! 👏

Paro has had the proverbial wake up call!! This is the truth of her life as it stands at this moment. And it ain't pretty! All the romanticizing and idealizing and divine proclamations have come to a screeching halt. Reality bites hard. Lets hope they can both come out of this a little stronger and wiser! 😉

I have read your post several times to understand Paro 😆 You have done an extraordinary job it's me ,I have a disconnect with the character ...Please forgive me don't want to say something which I may have to swallow tomorrow 😆 Taking a rain check ...will definitely put my thoughts down once this drama unfolds .

The quote I am posting is very dear to me ...have used this in several of my write up's when I worked with abused kids ...Sorry a little emotional maafi ...

"Usually adult males who are unable to make emotional connections with the women they choose to be intimate with are frozen in time, unable to allow themselves to love for fear that the loved one will abandon them. If the first woman they passionately loved, the mother, was not true to her bond of love, then how can they trust that their partner will be true to love. Often in their adult relationships these men act out again and again to test their partner's love. While the rejected adolescent boy imagines that he can no longer receive his mother's love because he is not worthy, as a grown man he may act out in ways that are unworthy and yet demand of the woman in his life that she offer him unconditional love. This testing does not heal the wound of the past, it merely reenacts it, for ultimately the woman will become weary of being tested and end the relationship, thus reenacting the abandonment. This drama confirms for many men that they cannot put their trust in love. They decide that it is better to put their faith in being powerful, in being dominant."

Ha ha... Am happy that she is consistent...but was hoping Rudy will prevail...and will manage to get Laila out of the house...but then again...it is easy for me to say that...as I don't have to come up with content for several weeks, and shooting in multiple locations...if Laila is out...😆

My take is like this. Till the revelation (I will not call it confession as Sush will come behind me with a sword I am sure) Paro believed in destiny. And she had started seeing signs of Rudra caring for her - over and above the protector mode. The Jaipur trip, the bangles, breaking down in front of her when he was conscious, taking care of her while she had the eye bandage and calling her his Patni. So she started believing that when she left, Rudra will come behind her to bring her back

But now when he starts talking about obligation and aadat about an eight year relationship, Paro can only think that what Rudra feels for her is also obligation. Paro has become human in this episode if you see. She may go back to the destined couple statement but as on today she is scared, insecure, confused , a little bit jealous, sad and what not. She probably also lost belief in believing his eyes. And wants him to spell it out

Wonderful post Sush...!

Paro is emotional .. she want the assurance that Rudra considers her as his wife... give the circumstances they got married.

But just rudra saying "I love you" will be sufficient ?
And given Rudra's personality... it is more in action that just a talk... which he did actually...

Wow Shwets...that's an intense quote!!👏

Thats why when Rudy is shown as a romantic running around his wife...the whole characterization fails...These children can not LOVE easily as adults...

The quote describes the underlying psychology of such children who are abandoned...specially boys who crave their mothers love...makes you think...if that's what Rudy boy did with Laila...and left her because she couldn't possibly pass all the tests...or may be Thats why he preferred to think of the relationship as sexual only...

Sorry I keep going back to Rudy Laila...but to understand Rudy's psychology about love and sex...one has to understand his relationship with Laila in deeper terms than ...the one liner...it meant NOTHING...and that Laila is a bad woman she deserves ...all the bad treatment...

Any way...this will probably not make attractive soap material...too dark...

Ok,I'm back and here goes!

Any woman ( or man for that matter) who claims not to be in the least bit affected by the revelation that his/her partner had a long term intimate relationship with someone else and now being in such close quarters ,is lying to themselves IMO. Whether that other person is a colleague, ex partner,BFF ,neighbor, whatever. There is that little twinge, pit in the stomach kind of feeling that surfaces when you least expect it, and can eat away at your soul, if allowed to fester. No matter how many times your one and only swears his/her undying love and devotion , the proximity that they share with a former romantic interest can be very unsettling. And that exists even with a relationship based on mutual love and understanding, I know...been there myself. We worry because we're human, and relationships are complicated, precisely because they involve human emotions. No matter how we may try to convince ourselves otherwise ,we can fluctuate between love and despair, trust and doubt, conviction and insecurity more often than we care to admit. Because love is never really an absolute, or perfect...because truthfully neither are we.

Imagine how this situation plays out for a 21/22 year old like Paro, inexperienced and innocent, yet suddenly convinced that she shares a divine connection with a man , who up till this point has been her adversary. Due to external pressures and circumstances, but with her approval, they marry against his wishes and better judgement. He makes it very clear to her that he has no intentions of being an ideal husband, but she accepts the challenge and like many women before her ,she believes with divine assistance she can overcome all obstacles and change this flawed and damaged person. She thinks if only she loves him enough, he'll change and maybe even one day love her back. And just when she thinks things are beginning to look up, then ...crash!!!

Her world is now turned upside down. Nothing is for certain anymore. She is haunted by fear, doubt, insecurity, anger ( at herself mostly!) and humiliation.
At this point, logic and rationale are thrown out the window. You can't see or think straight. You've forgotten every promise, every resolution ,every pact that you've made with God and your bruised ...if not yet broken heart. You just want answers, reassurance, over and over again, till it's seared in your brain and your aching heart.

All you want to know now at this very moment in time, do I really matter to you? And if so, what place do I hold in your life? Please, forget everything and everyone else...just tell me. I need to know!

Couldn't agree with you more Leeson...and what an excellent post...!
I think what makes things confusing a bit...is that Rudy already is giving such assurances...like when he said...All he cares about is for her to be not sad...it pains him when she is sad...and that does not even register?

I wish they had saved tha dialogue from Rudy for another episode ...and Paros continued reaction would have made more sense to people ...I am nitpicking...

Hi Sush- Great post👏

Shweta- Great Collage.👏

Today's episode was beautiful and I have divided it into moments.

1) Moment of Relief- The hug was a dream sequence and it was such a moment of relief. And I owe Shweta Sooji ka laddoos for predicting it to be a dream sequence.😛

2) Forthright moment- When Major tells Laila that he doesn't need her Sahara and Hamdardi.👏

3) Sneak-Peak moment- When Dillu watches everything and gets a clue as to what is going on.😛

4) Helping moment- When Dillu gives money to Samrat which makes Danveer happy and this can really help Samrat's confidence.😊 Finally, he can have a future.

5) Enlightening moment- When Dillu decides to give a piece of his mind to his son.😛 Major listened for the most part and then left.

6) Sisterly moment- When Maithili senses that something is wrong and looks at her.😛

7) Cute moment- When major comes looking for tea and Maithili telling Paro Bai sa that at least he knows what kind of tea she likes, Samrat wouldn't even know about her preference.😊

8) Dad-son moment- Dillu telling Major that "Are you nuts to tell about your yourself and Laila to Paro Bai Sa"? Major's reply was fantastic when he said that he couldn't have hidden it.👏

9) Dillu's sixer moment- Do you want to stay with Paro or not? Your harkat is going to snatch away your happiness.😊

10) Showing people the right place moment- Paro Bai Sa telling Laila that she is a guest and she cannot work.😛

11) Doubtful moment- When Paro Bai Sa thought how does Laila know about this disclosure?😕

12) Major Moment- Major telling Laila to go away from the Haweli.👏

13) Privacy moment- Major finally shutting the door during their private conversation so that somebody couldn't come in.👏 His Chal was Jhakas.😛

14) Dazzling moment- When Bai Sa asked about Laila's leaving the house had anything to do with his feelings, he replied that "You are the one who matters to me" He said "Mayne woh nahi tu Rakhti Hai"

15) Incredible moment- When Major tells Paro that she hasn't smiled today and has been crying since the morning and he can't see her like this. Loved it when he held her cheek.😉 He can't bardasht the takleef.

16) Stunning moment- When Paro Bai Sa tells Major that she is just tied to him by a thread. What right does she have on him? 😛

17) Second to none moment- When Paro Bai Sa tells Maithili that whatever happened between Major and Laila is a thing of the past and it was before marriage.😛 I was taken aback by this one. She doesn't want to prove chota on this issue by digging about their past.😛

18) Awe-inspiring moment- When Paro Bai Sa says ""What is in Major's heart for me?"👏

19) Breathtaking moment- Will he give his heart to her, today, tomorrow or forever?😛

Since today's episode was all about Paro Bai Sa finding a value or place in Major's life, I chose "Place" as the acrostic.

P- Paramount (Her and Major's rishta are just tied by a thread)😛
L- Leading-edge( When she talks about having any rights on him)😛
A- Assertive ( What value does she have in his life?)😛
C- Clear-cut (She wanted to know what is in his heart for her)👏
E- Earnest ( Will he give his heart to her today, tomorrow and forever?)👏

Also there was no war of words today between KCM and Laila. Their scenes were at a minimum and the focus was really on Parud. I am still perplexed by one thing- since when did Dillu know about Major and Laila?😕 He was point blank when she came to the Haveli.

Fab acting by the leads, amazing dialogue delivery and enjoyed every part of it.

Awesome post T!👏

My two most enjoyable moments are highlighted in bold...!😃
Apt acrostic!
