Don't agree with you at all.
He is going through a change of heart and finding the new feelings confusing, therefore he is fighting to keep his independence and non-reliance on anyone especially Paro.

Love the way CV's are handling this delicate issue

I saw it as insulting...he is not a child to throw fits when he gets angry.

NP...sure he is going through a change of heart...that is the reason he holds his ex lover's wrists as if he owns her.

I think Paro is only hero worshipping him -to feel so for someone who has repeatedly protected and saved her life many a time saved her honor the first time they met ( that can make many women in real life fall for the man) and has now become this larger than life warrior for which she feels an immense debt of gratitude and reverence as well considering her age and her personal experience with the men she came across he is the first man who has been looking after her interests as opposed to her bogus husband and fake father figure both selfish and using her for their own agenda That is how heroes are born in peoples mind- from acts of valor She came out of a traumatic situation with the realization that he always been her protector and she was so untrusting of him I think it happens even in real life- thankfulness sometimes translating to hero worship and love any way don't most folks indulge in some form of hero worship whether it be actors celebrities sports stars rock stars Here it be a soap character so I think it should have reasonably resonated with many her current state of mind

Now if they had shown her not exhibiting one inkling of attraction to him and always being obeisant I would have agreed but here she has been shown attracted to him physically admiring his physical assets even wanting to get more intimate albeit drunk when she dropped her hand and he decided not to pursue Paro was disappointed and walked off thinking rejection probably till he followed her she has been churlish childish demanding authoritative even commanding at times Does that sound like a devotee around her Saint? I don't know why people say she is not being physically responsive she has and I am someone who is interested more in the story than analyzing characters and yet I noticed how SI has been playing Paro last few weeks-slowly awakening to awareness On the other hand For someone who is very experienced with needs emphasis on every single night Rudra is playing more the shy one whose virtue has to be protected at all times and gets jittery when she says she can guess and orders her to stop so now who is the shrinking violet here? Her partner has been also acting saintly with her so I wont just fault Paro If she had resisted his advances to the next level then a case of saintliness but nothing like that sort till now and wonder if this will play on her mind with the revelation

Remember another show All hopes crushed and from then on I just view with not much expectations from desi soaps when it comes to representation of characters they stick to the norm the vamps and villains have to be caricatures to make the main leads look holier than thou If you really look deeply Technically Paro is also in a live in relationship with Rudra except they have got the blessings of the seniors of the house because she is the FL and ergo should not be seen living in sin That entire dramatic enactment was just that drama for none of his actions comply with the Hindu Marriage Act of 1955 for the marriage to be considered valid so yes we will be having one more official somewhere way down the line BSD and the social workers took their word and since no member of the family indicated otherwise it was accepted on face value to be played out when the next twist has to happen

Now with Laila in the real world she has a right to legal restitution under the constitution through the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005 which covers cohabiting as well but then this is soap and she has to be shown silly stupid and evil so we will root for her downfall and as for the push pull de rigueur we all want to buy like smitten kittens all the yarns thrown by the writers so we get to see a love story no matter how skewered and implausible it may be with the diktat Dekhna Hai To Dekh firmly behind it I am someone who has deep spiritual beliefs despite my urban liberal outlook and I can understand Paro's and hers definitely does not fall in the line of metaphysical thinking and frankly I think we should stop judging desi soaps from our rationale it wont work and most soaps will not last more than a month if they did what we do in our real lives and with some of our X-rated demands for consumashon scenes we know which category it will fall under 😆

Nice post Rupunzale makes for interesting reading and thinking Has your little one moved on to other fairy tales or still insistent on her fav?
