On a serious note Ttt don't u tink quality should be top notch if da show is ending by big boss? Atleast da best dey can do is, not give a shit about trp if dey know show is ending by da time big boss gets here, n dey give us a good story! Wid mala, tej, nandini, aman!

I think they will drag laila track for till ipl ends...then they will show separation track nd then thakur track ..if show is ending...thakur track will be last one ...
Acc to me show shud be on air for not more then 1 year..there is no use of dragging the show with illogical tracks!!
But I hope for the best !!

Agree to every word
While I feel that there is very less probability of the show going off air , I am not happy with the quality
The reason for the modification of story line I think it js the trps , but I feel more than the channel's warning it is also about the makers , they want to generate maximum revenue
Channel I agree there might have given the.makers some kind of pressure but I don't think they are a star plus
There was a show na Boyle tumne na Maine kuch kaha , the show Was gathering really bad trps , they dint modify the content as far as I remember their took it off air and aired it hain later didn't help though
It was a good show
A lot depends on the makers too , don't want a btmkk fate for rr because they were rigid
But somewhere they should.know to balance
Here I feel there Is no willingness to stick with the plot , it is one hundred percent from Trp angle
I feel 50 % original content 50% TRP generators like some sweet scenes or a dance or some earthy ans catxhy dialogues
Like If I want to make pizza my base has to dough , salt and oil , topping can be anything
Base I think is a strong story that should not be compromised

Err I could understand folks getting antsy over RR ratings if the GEC channel Colors was doing fantastic and the serial just was not raking in the numbers but here it is a clear case of loss of audience on the whole for the network and not just for RR so it is bound to reflect on the TRP and I see this pattern for the last few weeks Colors really is losing a lot of viewers in general I wonder why

Are all of Network 18 channels doing bad or just its flagship channel Colors they have some fine ones like CNN IBN and CNBC Any one have a clue

Yes colors is lossing on the whole , when a channel losses they dissect it to which ar the projects that lost the maximum as yes absolute value Is not important I think gain and loss is
Saying that I think gathering trps and making a good show should be taken care by individual teams
What I mean is each team should have ffirst and second priority ,
Every thing only about trps is not good
Cnbc that is my home ground it is still running in my room , no chance of a drop of gain , ever if there is those are more to do systematic or external factors unlike a colors where factors are both internal and external
Standalone is taken rather than consolidated when the products are varying , like a news channel and a entertainment channel

so it is not network 18 but the GEC channel colors interesting Unfortunately TRP is the holy grail of all PH and Channels and till advertisers sponsors and all the GEC come to some sort of understanding this will continue to rule
this does not happen on Western Television but then that is an entirely different ball game where the checks and balances and Nielson rating is far technical and accurate as opposed to here
well RR was an excellent product when it debuted it still is but they too have to recover their investments so they will try all sorts of tricks we were cribbing but look at the UK ratings of RR topped again so probably the lay viewer is looking more for spice rather than finesse I sometime wonder if we the internet audience demand desi soaps to reflect our own cultural demands in which case it will be converse to that of the regular viewers who see the soap only from entertainment point of view and not dissect and analyse the characters and story to the point of sounding rabid like we do here
So then whose taste should be taken into account If they want ad revenue then the TRP sort and if they are looking only for accolades on websites social networking sites then they should reflect that and be happy only with critical appreciation but then it all boils down to revenues they have salaries to pay so obviously that will be their goal
