Whatta opening to the Navrasa! Nandini and her fate, described so heartbreakingly... that descriptions of the brothel was so vivid, even though you used very few words to do so. I would have been even glad and thankful, had there been a closure scene after she met Paro. But anyways, this is AWESOME!

Navin, take a bow you! What a hard hitting piece. I swear I had the chills reading it, especially the part where its clear Nandini felt she was better off at the brothel, as if she somehow felt she wasn't deserving of a life of respect and freedom. That is how you break a person down to pieces I guess.

Your writing has so much pathos, you are one of the very few writers who can evoke really strong emotions in your readers, you brilliant you!

I may be too emotional to write at this time but I must. I was crying a little pitifully about half way into this. The 17 Brides of Birpur. She is one of them. The last one. You made the idea take life. I knew if anyone could write a piece that would be exactly what I was envisioning it would be you. Dirty! Disgust! What words to use to describe yourself. For people to turn a once happy girl into this. It eats me up inside. I feel so much for this girl. The saddest part of this story is the truth behind it. She is so courageous to be able to survive this but so lost to this filthy world that she was shoved into.
I cry for all the women and children who actually live this story on a daily basis. I hope they will all have saviours too. I am still crying and can barely focus here but I want to thank you for being able to write this absolutely heart wrenching piece that is so true to events that take place in this world. it gives the survivors hope. 👏

My stomach curdled, I cannot convey how this makes me feel. There are not enough words in the English dictionary.

My hand was on my mouth the whole time, Navin.

The change that you showed of Nandini, the lack of confidence from beginning to end, her transition of comfort zones all written so beautifully! I hadn't expected this, and I cannot tell you entirely how I feel but what I can tell you is that this was gut-wrenchingly beautiful, it is a piece that begs for emotion from the reader and I am yet to read anything like this.

A fantastic opening to the entire series Navin

Late res, but so be it.
EDIT:

I will quit praising you. I'm not of that aukaat you know? You are way above me.

This was the perfect blend of events, feelings, desperation, and a rescue story. The cry for help, the pain, and then the incertitude left me baffled. Once she had a chance to escape, she didn't know what to do. Her identity was eroded and by the end, was modified.

It gave me the chills, the whole thing. I took breaks from reading it, then re read the lines and savored every word. You give me joy even in this convoluted, complex, confusing flux of Nandini's trajectory. Sach 🤗

P. S I Love You. (Not in the film way)

Baisa you are Blessed

Loved the One Shot ... YOu have the ability to hook your reader from first to last word
anxiously though not a PaRud OS . but i loved it

made me sad made me tear up .
The most heart wrenching bit when she tries washing off the dirt herself .. i felt it ..

Keep writing more

PS : I am waiting for GOODBYE last part 😭

Good Lord. This is not fan-fiction.
I hope I'll be able to add something to this.
