I'm open to Disgust OBVIOUSLY Love, and pretty much anything, so, actually, dont worry about me...my brain exploded with scenarios for each of the nine, so I'm good with whatever's left--but you girls pick your favorites right now, so we dont have ten people doing Rudra (anger!)

AND READERS...PLEASE get in on this---garma garam your own favorite writers, creating one shots with the nine emotions, but we are all open to your own suggestions for what you want from us. Once a week, for the next nine (ten) weeks you'll get ONE one shot from one of us, using an emotion we've selected from the list. But the content can be influenced by you!

Suggest anything, any scene, any fantasy, any future or past or present rewrite you want. Any character you want more exploration of.An object, a feeling or a situation you want us to work on. Throw us the requests, and we'll incorporate them into the One Shots we'll each do--see which one we like and go from there!

I second that. PLEASE prompt readers. Half the time, all hesitance in posting stems from the insecurity of whether people will like it or not. If the target audience is known, a writer may feel more confident. It'll also encourage many more to write.

Better still, if you know which member has picked what emotion, PM them with your idea/ demands. Not all might be met or incorporated, but your effort will certainly be appreciated.

I am suddenly extremely nervous with all the big shots here.

Ahem... I'll just wait and see what is left last.. And pick it I guess.

It does 😉 So remember to tag it with mature, if it calls for it. Although, I can't say that I will heed that erm... warning?

The emotions, once again- also the list of writers is edited with thirteen, including myself- I would like to call for five more writers so we can have doubles on all the emotions! Seeing how different writers interpret the same emotion will be wonderful.

Tentative choices- these are up for changes as well:

Sringara (love/erotic)
Haasya (laughter)- Niyoti
Karuna (compassion)
Rudra (anger)
Veera (bravery)- Curledup
Bheebhatsya (disgust)- Napster
Bhayanaka (fear)- Choti
Adbhuta (surprise)
Shaanta (peace)

PaRud, and no erotic? No way! Are you listening, Niyoti, Senbon, Napster?😆

Choti,if we have white lies and the two ladies Senbon said would be joining us soon..I think Couch Potato was one of them..whats the count at? Hold the count at 18, for now, so we can do double per emotion--so saturday and sunday, one emotion, two one shots, from two different writers! And I second the one thread concept.

I think one thread per emotion would be best--every week, a new thread, with a new emotion..two stories posted into each thread, and then the readers 9 (and the writers) have at it, analyzing, commenting, even responsing to questions about what they wrote and why. I like that concept more than one long continuous thred because we can make sure everyone gets read, gets feedback damn near equally .

Some readers post once on a thread saying.."Good work. Update" and then never again---they'll see 17 other stories posted, but wont realize they can in fact give feedback to us all, and multiple posts are completely fine! We want to have the chance for readers to interact with us, tell us their feedback, dscuss why we chose what we chose, even argue with us if they dont like something...separate threads per emotion (so 9 in all, with two stories per thread) lets that breathing space happen.

And we need a week by week allocation starting with...? You?

And PS--I'll make disgust erotic, I promise you baisas!

Am so so honored that you thought of me when you started this thread, napster-sa.
You know that I am a big fan of your work!!!

And all you lovely people (you know who you are)...thank you so much!!!!
So awed to see my name several times in this discussion!!!

I really do not think I have the calibre to write something meaningful and deep...the way I see napster-sa writing the yesterday/tomorrow series...and more recently, the goodbye series...or the way choti-si baisa wrote the peccatum series...
So very scared to attempt the navarasas...sorry!!! I really am rather apprehensive...😲
So give me some time to become a few more OSes old on this forum...and may be, just may be, some maturity in writing will come eventually?

Ok...here I was wallowing in self-pity...you see, the husband is away for a couple of weeks...
And i hate sleeping alone...

But this whole thread..this wonderful idea and all the lovely posts...after reading all this..
I cant stop grinning now!!!😊

Love you all so much!!
It means a lot to me to get all this love and motivation...after being just two stories old on the forum...
Thank you again!!!

Love
What_the (Maya)

We shall schedule you towards the end- your participation in this is not up for debate, Maya Akka. We have already roped you in. All you have to do is decide on an emotion- Only one oneshot is required of you, and we're sure you'll do it justice. You can also take your time to decide, since you have expressed your desire to be towards the end

P.S.: You do have the calibre. Shut up. 😆 If two stories is enough for us to sing your praises, imagine what we will do if you write more 😉

If I get fear, and if Choti is free, I can update on Sunday. So... check out plans?

Holding the count to 18- we need five more, I currently have 13. I really like the Saturday/Sunday idea- that will be the perfect way to showcase two writers!

We'll do separate threads for each emotion, and I will have a blog with links to the IF thread and to serve as our Index. It will be simpler that way- if needed, I'll also add an IF thread as our Index.

Also, for the readers- we want this to be interactive. We would like to know what you like and don't like- writing is like clapping, you need both hands to do it. We earnestly do read every comment- even if we don't get the chance to respond to every single one.

Also, @White- Yes, I am open to that! Next Saturday, I'll try to have Fear #1 up, and you can do Sunday.

Also- posting times. IST/UST- thoughts on how to coordinate this?

If we want more writers to join how about more emotions like Sympathy, hope, panic, attraction, indifference or even gratitude?
