A doubt @Choti. Doesn't Sringar also incorporate erotic? (Bharatnatyam training speaking too).

Navin, I'm drawing a COMPLETE blank in terms of picking an emotion... a little flash of a scene popped up for Laughter.. Apart from that I got Nada.Zilch.Zip.

So maybe Laughter?

PS: No dance training here ya'll. Where do I look for inspiration? Choti any suggestions?

Building from this idea, I had in mind that stories could be written about the 17 missing Birpur brides! "The Missing Brides of Birpur." A story for each one. Any takers???

It does 😉 So remember to tag it with mature, if it calls for it. Although, I can't say that I will heed that erm... warning?

The emotions, once again- also the list of writers is edited with thirteen, including myself- I would like to call for five more writers so we can have doubles on all the emotions! Seeing how different writers interpret the same emotion will be wonderful.

Tentative choices- these are up for changes as well:

Sringara (love/erotic)- tic-tac

Haasya (laughter)- Niyoti

Karuna (compassion)

Rudra (anger)-

Veera (bravery)- Curledup

Bheebhatsya (disgust)- Napster

Bhayanaka (fear)- Choti/White-Lies

Adbhuta (surprise)-

Shaanta (peace)- Angel/Zara

just found this thread...and am so overwhelmed...too stunned for words..

Am so so honored that you thought of me when you started this thread, napster-sa.

You know that I am a big fan of your work!!!

And all you lovely people (you know who you are)...thank you so much!!!!

So awed to see my name several times in this discussion!!!

I really do not think I have the calibre to write something meaningful and deep...the way I see napster-sa writing the yesterday/tomorrow series...and more recently, the goodbye series...or the way choti-si baisa wrote the peccatum series...

So very scared to attempt the navarasas...sorry!!! I really am rather apprehensive...😲

So give me some time to become a few more OSes old on this forum...and may be, just may be, some maturity in writing will come eventually?

Ok...here I was wallowing in self-pity...you see, the husband is away for a couple of weeks...

And i hate sleeping alone...

But this whole thread..this wonderful idea and all the lovely posts...after reading all this..
