You, baisa, very nearly broke my heart with this update. I mean, this redefines epic. I have to ask, are you a writer? Because if you are, then I will gladly purchase your books off of Amazon. And if you're not, then my dear you should consider taking up a new job!
How did you manage to dig deep into all of the characters? Maithili's gift from Paro was the one that had my eyes stinging with tears - the message that the adopted daughter would be as if she was always Maithili's blood was so emotional. And the mini ghagras and clothes? That was GENIUS, take a bow.
Sunehri and Aman? NIICEE. I've always loved Aman and I'd love to see him onscreen a lot more, he's such a wonderful character! I like that you incorporated them too, it's lovely to read that Aman is not forgotten.
Dilsher - I really liked the bit where you mentioned that he was terrified of letters. It just echoes back to Mala's letter when she left him, and it was very poetic, well done. I also think it was a good idea of you to withhold the contents of the letter from us (for the time being I'm hoping), I'm looking forward to your next update already. And when I say looking forward, I mean going semi-feral, eyes wild and pulling at my hair because I don't have a TARDIS to take me into the future to read part four - seriously I'm a mess. Please, by all means take this as emotional blackmail, I feel no guilt 😃
Rudra. He's already such a brilliant onscreen character, and your work (Yesterday and Tomorow, and other stories) really needle him out to be this fantastic person to study, to read about, and to write about too I guess. The fact that he was silent seems both unexpected and expected. Unexpected because he's Mr Jallad (usually) and there is ALWAYS a reaction. And expected because Paro's loss would naturally hit him in such a way. She means too much to him because she changed him. Before he was armoured with misogyny and that oh so sexy sarcasm, but Paro drowns him in her love, making him vulnerable to all her effects. Yes, I agree and completely commend your portrayal of his reaction to losing Paro, you managed to lay Rudra bare to us readers, absolutely mindblowing work, Navin Di!
And OMG if you leave the forum, what will all of us do? Forget the negativity. There will always be a yin-yang balance - for there to be positivity (hello, this is obviously your fantastic work) there will be negativity (ridiculously reductive posts), because in having the latter, one appreciates the former so much more. Seize the day, feel the force, and keep it up!
