You know what they could have done though...they could have showed the boss and his wife taking their tea before Rudra makes tea for Paro...but again...that would have taken up too much unnecessary screen-time. Also I believe that when the tea first came the boss's wife kind of gestured/motioned to Paro to take/make some tea. If not physically, through the expression on her face. And Paro didn't know how to make the tea so Rudra just did her the favour of making it for her. It was a very in-the-moment gesture on Rudra's part. He didn't think about it so much so I don't know why I am either 😆

Hi Vera and Z,
What I say are details...and the best way to enjoy is to not worry about them...When the scene grabs me...I am able to ignore ...a lot...When it doesn't ...things pop up...because the running out in the bathrobe scene didn't quite work for me...this followed...(the gap in the etiquette was quite glaring to be ignored in my books) but the dance scene was done well...and the scene between Paro and Mrs Singh before that was done well...so I was back into it...

Can I say...they are making Rudy a bit inconsistent for me? His making tea was OK...but why would he make tea for her before offering it to the Sr. Officers wife? No junior officer in the army will EVER do that...You know...they are going a bit overboard ...me thinks...I like a usually grumpy Rudy...who only does things like that rarely and with reservations in unavoidable situations...not at the drop of a hat...And he can NEVER break the army etiquette...

I think showing transition is the most difficult point for any writer...usually they don't meet my expectations and end up making the character look "bipolar"... now Rudy's character is not botched that much to qualify as "bipolar" (sorry Shwets...dont take the literal meaning of the word...but just as a figure of speech) but they push it more than what I would consider natural for a person like him...at least in the dance he maintained character and delivered right on the money...

May be there is a reason...I didn't write too much...but I hope y'all will understand where I am coming from...

Army etiquettes are very strong.. And even indian boss etiquettes this giving tea though necessary should have been avoided by showing colonel and his wife asking for a cold drink..and paro asking for tea..

Yeah...I too think that the insecure one is lurking around the corner...will show up by the end of the week...There has been a lot of discussion about lack of promos of the dance...I think it is likely deliberate ...because the romance track is not here to last...

And they don't want to mislead...They will use the promos for what comes after ...although I hope they don't fall into the trap of making it so negative that it is a turn off.

He says not in love then what is happening.. Today I read napstermonster view on this..I think that may be likely.. Because whatever he is .. Paro is so untouched by his world..so naive do innocent.. That he is compelled to come out of his darkness to be the man for her..

Today when she came out in a bathrobe.. Rudra could have scolded her why couldn't u stay in room but he knew she is do shaken by darkness that she came out..

She accepts what he says... He told her to stay back in room...she did not argue..but he knew his COs wife brought her and she could not have handled the pressure..
All in all a great episode and I do feel something is going to happen by the week which may change the equAtion..

OK msin sa...yours is the last post I am answering for now...then I am going to read my book...Looks like today again I am at a different wavelength...and no one is liking to hear my views...in any case...This is the reason I didn't want to post in the first place...because it probably is too much for the dreamland everyone is on...

I think Rudy knows or can see how vulnerable she is...so his protective side is out ...The moment he becomes vulnerable to her...the insecure side will come out...

Mind if I butt in? I think everyone can see the inconsistencies but have decided not to talk about it today. I did briefly mention yesterday what u've explained above although I doubt anyone took me seriously owing to the nature of that post ;) but for now I've decided to let that go, couple of reasons for that, again not going into those for now. I'll give them this week and see where they take this, sometimes I do feel like we're projecting our ideas onto to the screen, these characters and how things shud go or behave instead of seeing them as they are... So instead will just sit back and let them show me what they intend to...I'm still a lil fazed by the pace of things although the tehraav that was missing earlier - looks like they are working on that.

I enjoyed today's episode purely as a standalone, it was nice, I really liked how Rudra patiently guided Paro and the dance obviously, not much there to complain about that, certainly not 😳

Let's give them a benefit of the doubt for now. May be they are experimenting or re-working things out...

Hi Sush, loved your post as usual, lovely. The episode was enjoyable, loved PaRud. SanIsh were excellent throughout. Their dance was out of the world.
Is there anything our dear Rudy boy cannot do, he can dance too.😃
One thing i don't agree with you, I somehow feel that Aman and Sunehri will look good, Sunehri just needs a little makeover. Her bholapan and Aman's cuteness, it should be a good combination.
