Hi Sush!

No song today?? Sorry I'm getting spoiled with your excellent selections.

Now to the episode - sorry but Rudy boy sounded horrible as he was expected to but I'm not sure Ashish can actually sing. . . you are being very kind my dear.😉

Best part of episode for me was Rudra was telling KCM he had sleeping pills for horses should she need help in that department. The humor lately has been fabulous and a nice change from the intensity.

See the thing is...in the US, transgenders don't want to be recognized as the "third" gender...for the fear of being stigmatized...Which is something I can understand...

So don't quite get why in India the transgenders are welcoming this decision...an article I read on the topic said...they will not get some rights and benefits...with this ruling...I am not sure why they didn get it in the first place? What does gender have to do with any rights or benefits?? Doesn't India have equal rights for all people irrespective of gender?

@bold, In India we still have reservations for weaker gender (women currently and now this transgender added to it) in educational institutions and jobs. So now transgenders being recognised as third gender and a socially and educationally backward class, they will get reservation in admission to eduational institutions and govt jobs.

Thanks for answering my question...Malini...you are right about reservations in India ...how could I forget that...

Shwets ...I can't read the WSJ article without subscribing to it now...I guess I have read too many free articles on it already and have used up my free quota...will come back and update my thoughts after catching up,...from another source...May be NYT has something on it...last night Google news didn't pick up any articles...on the subject...

Anyway...didn't mean to go off topic and make it a constitutional discussion...Shwets...no thoughts on the episode today?

I played the scene Paro starts laughing in several times (I know I know 😛, what can I say I have PaRud fever) and in my opinion when Paro first starts laughing Rudra's eyes, for a moment, go soft and look kind of amused. And then all of a sudden they go hard and he jumps at her 😉
