Glad to read that your mom likes RR and Paro and major. You're fortunate to have a forward thinking mom, i mean to say about women standing up for what they think is right.

Nice post, Sush! I think the more progressive moms like this fearless Paro ... my mom and two of my aunts also enjoy this show a lot, and love the way Paro stands up for what she believes is right.

Hi Diya! Yes, progressive women like that for sure...!!!

My mom also loves the self reliant approach that Paro has...getting Maithli out of the kidnappers and taking care of Thakur with a Danda and mirchi! 😆

Danda bai sa approach...works for her!!!

Sush my mom who is 75+ lives with me absolutely loves Paro & Rudra. And the actors playing too. She admired Ashish from his previous show. Talks highly of him. And has been a fan of Sanaya since IPK days. And yeah she too watches repeats of YHM.

Now I've managed to get my office colleague to watch who was into JLZ...and guess what..not just her...but she has got her own mom to watch it!

I know of many people (even guys) who whilst residing abroad watch serials so that they can discuss it with their parents back home. Its like sharing a common interest with your parent. And they love talking about it.

I absolutely love your mum's perspective of Paro. My mom too loves heroines who got some spunk! Guess what she hates SNS!😆

Hi DDFAN...totally agree...talking about serials and movies with their families back home is a culture connection for people living abroad ...!!

There is nothing like a heroine with spunk! But having a hero who is so srong to start with makes it even better...😃 A couple of shows I have tried with heroes ...not standing for anything...made it look unbalanced with strong women characters...I am so glad RR is getting where it is not one but two you can love!!

Thanks Malini! I am fortunate indeed!

I am sure a lot of what I believe in has roots in her view of the world...!

I really like to read what people outside of the forum think of RR!! I look forward to reading your post about your mom's view of RR as well!! Happy to hear that all age groups are enjoying the show!! I have to say that the transition in Paro's personality from the beginning of the show till now has really left me speechless. I am looking forward to the future tracks if as you stated before Sush about the Shiv-Parvati story. That would be interesting to watch! I feel the pace of the story has gained back it's momentum and I am enjoying it thoroughly!
