Waw! I really appreciate your mom's thinking.. Good that she doesn't advise the girls to be soft spoken, submissive and controlled.

Paro's greatest strength is she has nothing to lose. So she has no fear! No intimidation or danger can now subjugate her..

TFS! Sush.

Your mum's POV is really great.
RR really is different and so is Paro's character.
Love the CV's for writing Paro's character the way it is.

Awesome Post. Love your mom, Sush. She is so right. In many places in India, women even though when right are expected or forced to keep quite and so they keep quite. But Paro is different. She doesn't get intimidated or effected by such things. Even in the Friday episode she tells Rudra, "You listen to me or you don't listen, I will say what I want to say." She puts her point forth and that to directly. I like that best in Paro. She is straightforward and speaks her mind irrespective of what the other say or think.

Also, I love how she stands by what she believes in and is right. The day she stood up to Mohini for Maithili said a lot about her. "I am not done talking.", that one sentence made me fall in love with her all over again.

Fantastic post! I think your mom is very good and she has nailed it :-). TRP raises when the main lead faces troubles but she stands up for herself and her loved ones and triumphs the difficult conditions she faces. If they show Paro getting stronger and winning over her problems I think RR TRP will increase. If we see most of the major top shows try showing it. We are lucky we have Ashish and Sanaya living as Rudra and Paro for us! RR rocks!

Thanks for sharing your Mum's views, it's always nice to know what the viewers outside of IF think of the show. I agree with her take on Paro, she's a refreshing change from the usual female leads on Indian TV.
My parents love RR too. 😊

I was very careful to not say...anything until she finished her sharing her thoughts!! No point hearing my own view back, if I want to know her opinion ...right? 😊

Well she does find KCM interesting and thinks the lady is a good actress ...but... an oppressive Saas and an ideal Bahu who does not speak a word...is not her thing...She likes women who view themselves equal to their male counterparts in self respect, confidence and independent opinion...She was a literature student and is well read...that must have helped...😃
