Paro didn't need to do it. Rudra could wear a new kurtaa. Sunehri could fix a new curtain. But she went a step ahead for her sworn enemy. She gently chided him with the curtain tear possibility - and then, she got his sleeve off the hook, gently. Reason? No, not some sudden affection for Rudra. Its those compassion peek-a-boo instances when you are reminded by the writers that Rudra appeals to the NURTURER in Paro. His slightest non-Jallaad moments bring that nurturer out in Paro. That is the Rudra she seeks - the man who protects her like a blanket protects a baby in winters , the man who may play all devil with her, but is her shield of honour and security.

And there you have it!

This is the rangrasiya of rudra and parvati... The divine couple. And the take on the characterization is intriguing. The extreme dichotomy of both characters... Their standoff and how their instinct is wearing their judgement down, only to come back with a vehemence!

Also Vicky, my mother used to quote that corinthians scripture to me. Thanks for bringing back memories!

Yes both these posts (TM and Lizzy2012) are very perceptive.

That kurta scene was really significant and arresting. I feel for Paro it had something to do with what happened the night before when he implored her to think about her stance, her beliefs, her position...that those beliefs were misplaced and would generate regret latter - soul-killing, corrosive regret. In those moments he was more than a BSD officer wanting to save his job and honor his martyred men. He was also a man who for reasons even he does yet not understand cares that she will be hurt in the future when she learns the truth. It matters to him. insinctively he wants to save her from that inextinguishable pain, and remorse he knows she will experience when she finds out the truth. He knows her moral fibre well enough by now to know that.

That concern of his reached her...it got to her somehow and it is muddying and confusing the picture in her mind. she senses, instintictively as well, that something's amiss. He could be right.

And his invoking his deepest vulnerability, reaching out into that most painful wound, to try to make her understand...that reached her. And she knows just what that past did to him...

He spoke from a different place -- a place of truth -- and she sensed it.

So the next morning there is something new in the mix. Its fragile and ephemeral still, that is why she goes of her own accord to untangle his sleeve...and looks at him with a mixture of that something new and bewilderment at what she's beginnign to think...and yet when he yanks her to the tap she finds herself right back to her distrust and anger and cynicism -- this is a new chaal of his.

But then she finds that he was right this time. and submits to his protection like a baby trusts her mother...

Things are in great flux; both are on the brink of a major transformation.

He can no longer pretend that all his anxiety for her, for her well being is only because she is his sole witness, a source of restoring the honor of his fallen men. it is much much more than that...and Laila's question wlll force him to confront that truth.

The cvs and the actors have been just brilliant in bringing such complex emotions to the fore...allowing us to live these contradictions with them...
taking us from one extreme emotion to another and then finding ourselves speechless at the sheer beauty and power of their pristine bond which is in the process of taking shape. 👏

@All. Thank you for reading , liking and commenting. I am sorry that I don't get to reply everyone but am usually jam-packed with work. Still, I read everything and I love the bunch who comes to my post - you guys are so deep, non-judgmental and intelligent - i get to learn so much and i feel good about the world. Maybe, the world is not that cruel a place after all. So, thank you . God bless everyone.🤗

And one more point here. I do not see Rudra as an abuser , because i can clearly differentiate between 'aggression' and 'abuse', 'passion' and 'violence'. But then, these are my views completely.

Also, I see Paro as white and a white person's love is the greatest because it has no flaw , no blemish, no darkness. That is why her love in its essence will be greater than Rudra's love for her.

Lastly, I don't see Laila as a vamp or a black character. I see her as someone who has fallen from grace and her own pedestal of self-respect. That's weakness. Not villainy.

San had recently mentioned in an interview how Paro now takes refugee in Rudra's protection. Instead of hiding from him, she now hides behind him. She may call him jallad, hate him with all her being but she trusts him enough to know he'll protect her from all evils of the world. And yesterday's episode was testimony to the fact. When in danger, Rudra is the person she'll call out to.
Rudra has started connecting to her on a deeper level. While Paro hates him for destroying her life, he has seen her real side. He confides into her about her mom which is a very touchy topic for him. He rushes to her when he comes to know about the poison in haldi. He may not in love with her yet, but he does care for her.

I just can't seem to sympathize with Laila no matter how hard I try. Although I can see where she is coming from.. It was her choice to be with Rudra or to leave him when she saw no signs of companionship in him. True that one can't help when they fall in love.. She did too.. But the SAME goes for Rudra. And that's what people forget. He did not plan to find a soul mate connection in Paro.. Did not plan to start falling for Paro no matter how much he denies.Paro-Rudra happened WAYY before Rudra-Laila when 15 years back they exchanged that doll... It was just a matter of time that they found the other half of their souls yet again...

Yesterday's episode was very beautifully executed and well enacted by actors.. ⭐️ Rudra draped the cloth of respect and honour around Paro. And Laila had witnessed this fact that no matter how Rudra screams that he is not marrying Paro for love.. But she has seen what both PaRud have not yet realized. He is turning into a human, a protector and a giver. And the reason why she got mad yesterday was because it was Paro at the receiving end of his humane side not her .
