No it wasn't the first time!
Laila came to the Sangeet ceremony and danced and pretended to faint in Rudra's arms.
He had to take her to his room to avoid her telling anyone else anything so he did.
Once there she asked the same questions she did today...in fact she outright asked why he told her he didn't believe in love and commitment to ANY woman and now he is marrying Paro who he has known just for a few days!
It was like he was rejecting HER and not all women and she wanted to know why
She got emotional telling him she got to know when she saw him at the jhaanki ceremony with Paro...and he actually was affected by her tears to the extent that he tried to explain that this marriage was not what she thought and he couldn't tell her the truth...!

That's what I was referring to!

When Rudra is not around Paro can more than tc of herself, we have seen her sense of intuition and bravery...bt when he is present, she is totally dependent on him to safeguard her. The shout Rudra' as the knife comes towards her was instinctive. She doesn't even delve into why she feels this secure around him only. And he cannot pinpoint as to what is the bond, emotion he shares with her.

Pardha kept intact - Paro didn't allow it to tear, she instantly moved to caution him off her own will and help him untangle his sleeve. There wasn't any discomfort or uneasiness that she is helping her 'enemy' in a ceremony that is being forced upon her. Rudra didn't allow the veil of his relation with laila to get exposed in front of her. I wonder why, as he is the least image conscious person?

The awareness between the two whilst wiping the haldi from around her lips, was 😳. There is an aura of purity that surrounds them, despite the attraction that simmers beneath the surface of their interactions.

I'm eager to see Paro's reaction to Rudra getting hurt, during the mela, before any truth is revealed or misconceptions cleared on her side.

*will read your post at leisure, IF keeps logging me out*

Thanks Soffu.

The relationship between Rudra and Paro is that of soulmates - there is no other name or explanation for that. Soul recognizes its fellow soul, irrespective of what the worldly and egotist brain says or does to counter it. Rudra and Paro are enemies in their heads. Not hearts.

Rudra is not image conscious but what Paro thinks of him matters to him. That she thinks he is a demon hurts him at some level - that she hurts herself because of him disturbs him. And to fall lower in her eyes by exposing his underbelly with Laila, he doesn't want a moralistic and pure woman like Paro see him as a lowly hedonist.

Paro Rudra ke baare mein kya sochti hai, ussko farak padta hai aur bahot farak padta hai.

It shows Rudra as a hypocrite, but it also shows him as someone who unconsciously wants to be redeemed in someone's eyes. Remember his face when Paro said that Rudra will never let anything happen to her at all?

There. 😳

Thank you.😳...True. A man who protects your honour wins you for life. Rudra not only saves Paro's life and he protects her honour as a woman as well. Never crossing the line and never letting anyone crossing the line with her. I won't be surprised if Paro irrevocably falls in love with Rudra once the clouds clear.

You are good with words because you are honest.

Thank you 😊. And I will not be surprised either because when the clouds move Rudra will stand like a clear blue sky for her.

I just came over because I knew you'd post today after that kind of an episode.
Be back after reading.

Edited :

In all honestly, I have to let you know that your posts are always such a delight to read. They are never the usual after-episode ramble but something very intricately written. Such in depth level of understanding of human emotions and its shades and then correlate them to fictional characters and point out all the inter dependencies among them, that's something not everyone can do. Commendable. About the episode, you have left nothing else for me to add. I'd give the shower scene a mention again because it wasn't done just for the heck of getting leads do some mushy stuff. It actually had a meaning to it and depicted almost every shade of human emotions and conflicts.

Awesome...very detailed explanation about Rudra and Paro, their connection as a soulmate...
For Paro, when facing danger, her unconscious call will be for Rudra...
and for Rudra, it matters what Paro thinks for her...even with misunderstanding he fiercely protects Paro..

Vicki, my love...
You put it beautifully, aptly, succinctly and yet in a flow that reminds of a stream that flows and yet embraces every little wave, every little ripple into its fold...that is how your words have flowed today.

On a landmark, watershed day. When Paro calls for Rudra...Yes, she will blame him later that it is because of his indiscretions she had to face Laila's wrath. Yes, she will understand the relationship that Rudra and Laila have shared and perhaps find another reason to accuse Rudra of hard-heartedness. But this bond gets cemented a little more every day, in hatred and yet in care, in harshness yet in gentleness, in conflict yet in understanding. They are both lost, and they are both holding each other's hand hoping to get out of this unknown jungle of uncertain dangers that lurk. Despite themselves, one is learning to trust, the other is learning to care. they both shall learn to love. perhaps they are already afoot on the path , but do not know it. it is difficult to ignore a man who is your shield against the dangers of the whole world. it is difficult not to love a girl whose innocence even a hardened heart cannot deny or refrain from trying to protect. the conscious might reject, but the unconscious relies upon, and seeks out for protection, preservation and comfort. something undefined took shape on screen today. I suspect apart from us, Paro and Rudra will also be trying to figure out what it is. I suspect that even though they cant see it as we do , as did Laila , they will start to sense it too. Laila saw today what neither is willing to acknowledge. she didnt attack because Rudra touched Paro, she attacked because she saw the demise of her own relationship in the rush of emotions in Rudra's eyes for paro. she saw it in him. so did we.

Awesome post, vickis...awesome, awesome post.

I don't come to the forum too much..but when i came here day before,I was shocked to see the word "abuser"plastered all over the forum..I went in to a major retrospective mood as to whether I was watching the same show as the rest of the members here.I realised the people have commented on a scene as a stand alone and not absorbed the essence of the show in totality,,you have given a lot of explanations on your perspective on the cv's thought process ..today,I thought I would read the show from my perspective and try the to decipher the reality..

firstly,This is a piece of fiction and every writer has a different viewpoint and his style of presenting his work..Rangrasiya has been promoted as a grey show and has been touted as different show from the shows on air presently..Here I have to agree.. so any one mixing this piece of work to reality is a doing an injustice to the creative team of this show..let the people who are writing this show communicate to us in totality and then let us all comment on it, is my request ..

secondly, the story is based on Paro's viewpoint of her Rangrasiya..we see every incident from Paro's POV and so tend to sympathise more with her pain as she is whiteness personified in the show..the soulmate ,god has chosen for her closely resembles the god she worships everyday-bole shivshankar..the ruthless rudra with an innocent core like lord shiv..shiv never believed living by halves..he went to extremes in professing any emotion-be it love, hatred, anger and the innocence with which he granted his boons..Goddess Parvathi was really confused as how to view her lord-whether he was the angry Bairagi or the loving pati who taught not only about loving unconditionally but also taught her about sexuality or the lord who ruthlessly destroyed the evil to protect the universe..the same thing is hapening to paro..THe mehendi incident was hateful to paro not only due to the war that is going between rudra and paro but also duo the frisson of sexuality he is unleashing in paro..Paro is hating herself for it as she has no beliefs in the grey and what she is feeling is "sin"according to her.It will be rudra who will open her eyes to that part of the world and in turn absorbing her whiteness from her ,essential for his survival (in fighting his demons) ... every scene in this show is opening new vistas of how the creatives have written this show innovatively..

thirdly, today's Haldi brought the feelings of rudra to fore..every question that laila posed to him found their target in Rudra's heart as he got a wfiff of blurring lines in parud relationship..he has realised that he is on the doorstep on a major emotional entanglement in his life ..paro will see another shade of her rangransiya moving forward, confusing her even more..the question to paro's question will lead to her Answer -Rudra ,her Rangrasiya who she has to accept unconditionally, love unconditionally and nurture unconditionally..and that rudra in turn will fight all the external demons for her,be her shield in front of danger and teacher to her on worldly matters..loved this style of writing..In this scenario, how did the word "abuser' enter?

Thank you Lizzy for restoring my faith in sanity , objectivity and not slapping anything and everything in the name of giving an opinion. I am still mentally isolated from the abuser indication and that is why i have not commented on this allegation anywhere.

Whatever I have highlighted in red in your excellent post more or less mirrors my thoughts in a better way.

What i have understood is that people react as per their education, background , upbringing, environment and the mental evolution they have been nurtured with. And someone's reaction and opinion is just that - A REACTION AND AN OPINION and it has nothing to do with the object of attention or its actual reality.

What people are calling abuse is their perception of abuse and that's it.

And this story is told from Paro's eyes and her vision of Rudra as 'Rangrasiya' , so i think we will continue seeing this hard love for Rudra.😆
