Depends on the kind of Malaria you get. But if it's strong enough to require hospitalisation like in Ashish's case, then it must be a virulent type. Tends to result in very high fever spikes (103-104 d F) , shivering, nausea/vomiting and can take you a while to recover depending on how fit you are. I'd say 10 days is about average. Personally, I thought the Malaria was worse than the flu.
