To expect Paro to be covered completely as she is supposedly innocent, demure and a village belle. Isn't that reinforcing a stereotype image of a so called innocent girl too?

ditto! To top it she is a Rajasthani girl, where the most demure ones too will bare their tummy areas as its just the way they dress..

Just like the shiest kid i know who wouldn't tale 2 words to any1 would wear a skirt 2 inches above the knee here as its norm for us while the boldest of Rajathani traditional women will not wear it as its taboo. But for them exposing the tummy was the norm. So if it wasn't targeting Sanaya i dunno what it was! 🥱

Deepika doesn't play anywhere close to a demure character like Paro in Ram Leela!

This is the stereotypical thinking. That women who wear saree n salwar-suits categorized as demur and women who wear modern clothes categorized as bindass and today's women .This thinking should change.

LOL Eve. Don't take my posts seriously. I just keep playing the devil's advocate and keep asking different questions. This is why I always avoid making serious posts and stick my 'consimashun' posts.

Ok I liked Laila's makeup even better. Her outfit color was lovely. Prefer Rudra in white😉

As far as expose of the choli rule that some viewers apply only to Paro's character must be applicable to not just Laila but the rest of the female characters across all channels, all shows during the prime time slot. Matlab 6 pm to 10:30 pm.

Now that would include the goddesses, princesses, queens, vamps, married women blah blah.

Sadly that is not the case...It's only Paro and her clothes that is watched with some strange binoculars even from Space (facepalm)

I don't like this stereotypical thinking by the cv's .Vamps wear transparent sarees, short dress, sleeve-less blouse etc.,.Lead should wear salwar suit and saree . For them cloth differentiate the characters personality . Why can't a lead wear modern dresses and they way Paro was wearing her ghangra n choli.

General thinking of the society is girls who wear saree n salwar r good girls n girls who wear modern dress are termed as brat and what not they say about those girls . I am a guy n I personally hate this .Society make judgement of girls character based on the way she dresses. This is utter nonsense according to me.

When their are posts saying , looking at how sanaya is dressed up in the show ...ppl have probelm watching the show with their kids ...then I don't think its a comment on paro's dressing .
When their are posts made saying tv actress such as sanaya are comfortable in exposing because 🤢...i don't want to complete this sentence because I remember how mad I got when I read that ...its dfinately not a comment on paro's dressing.

I am just surprised that you havn't come across any such posts as you seem quite regular on the forum. We had a barish of such posts in the forum...

I assure you that I am not faking not seeing the posts...I am a regular for the past month...I saw the post where the request to cover the waist with the dupatta was written and I thought that was for the character Paro...!
If there have been posts saying Sanaya then you all are right...😊
I haven't seen them so I was curious why!

see visual connectivity is much higher than any other senses
what these guys do is when they conceive a characte, outfits. most of the times the color of the dress kind of make up these are easy tools to characterize certain impressions
perception is reality atleast i the tv world
like a light make up and hair tied up it is easy to understand she is an office goer
deepika also portrayed a village girl , but her character was very sensuous , i think the reason for the choice of her out fit , this is a easy route i guess
if you ask me a vamp should try to hide her intention so she should dress simpler than the rest

Personally I feel the new style looks very nice and much better on Sanaya and Paro!
The earlier style didn't look vulgar...that's not at all the point...but to me it looked wierd...a dupatta folded and worn on the shoulder looked more like a towel...from the aesthetic sense of the dress it didn't appeal to me...that's my POV!
And talking of why Paro needs to be covered she doesn't...that's the creatives job,,,to dress her..!
Is it true that protests triggered change in the dupatta wearing style?

Its stereotypical, NB. Laila can prance around in bikini and the moral police would not utter a word. Personally I have no issues with Paro's dress.. both then and now. She looks equally fabulous.

Sunara, I agree with you about the the fact that it is the way they dress. I'm sure this bunch would be scandalized if they saw a typical dress of a rural woman in Rajasthan/Gujrat. Its nothing on the back but four strings- two on top and two at the bottom.

why did u think so many of us were so riled? it was cz people actually stooped as low as to tell that the actresses wear less clothes cz they have nothing to lose as they have anyway gone through casting couch!! n then gave gyan on cultured girls n behaviors the said people apparently teach their daughters so that they don't become like the midriff baring actresses n thus will not get raped on the streets! 🥱
