I'm one of those who believe that if you are comfortable in the clothes you wear, then it's none of my business.

@Bold - I find this quote by some so stupid . I am not saying because I am a Sanaya Irani fan. Many debates in TV for increasing rape case. Some stupids said women wearing short dress and revealing dress cause rape .How conveniently they put all the blame on women dressing. Then drafting a strong law against rape.

My answer was for those who objected to Paro the character!

It was! My biggest issue was that! And I just pulled out the article that said about the higher level of midriff baring identified by the media too.. YET here on the forum moral police preach n crib that Sanaya, that slip of a girl wearing what she wore leads to innocent girls in the country getting raped..
and the hypocrites, not a single one of them made such a post yesterday asking why Ankita is not covered!

PS: being a girl from a different much less restrictive culture i have no issues even with a bikini if the girl is comfy. n i have a huge gripe about people misusing the dresses of the girls to justify rape

i personally feel such articles on any one is hypocrisy because it is not about a character but about the actor herself
so if paro's style was commented upon and we didnt like it , gives me all the more reasons to not comment on laila , because we are stepping the boundary and commenting on the actors not done
no offense

ditto! that is why i who had an issue of people talking nastily about Paro's dress did not talk nastily about Laila's dress..
OR better yet let me rephrase, I had an issue with people talking nastily about Sanaya's dress and thus I did not comment badly on Ankita's dress
To top it i actually don't have an issue with either dress anyway! cz they r seriously beautiful dresses!!

Finally this post was made by NB asking the PEOPLE who made the previous Sanaya targeting posts using this point, as to why they did not do the same for Ankita.

Simply says its neither their twisted beliefs of women being raped due to dress nor anything else that made them say the previous crap. But simply targeting Sanaya.

NB...how do I put this?? Ok the issue a few weeks back was not Sanaya's clothes...it was Paro's outfit. Paro being a simple village girl, demure, modest, on the conservative side, traditional...she would not be wearing clothes that bare her midriff, show off her blouse and the whole of her back (and honestly I have seen plenty of Rajasthani and Gujarati village girls...trust me they don't wear such clothes)The complaints were that the clothes were not in keeping with Paro's character...nothing to do with Sanaya personally. Its not about Sanaya's figure, or anything personal, it was about Paro's dignity. A girl who cant bear a man looking at her bare upper arm revealed by a torn sleeve, wont be found dressed in such a way in public. It just felt out of character.
Now in Laila's case, the same clothes and dressing is perfect...reason...they go with her character. She is a professional dancer, a courtesan, and such women always wear glamorous, revealing outfits..its part of their presence. They are neither self conscious nor shy about their assets, if you have it flaunt it kinds...
When we look at Paro, the demure village belle and Laila, a professional dancer, obviously there is a vast gulf in their thinking, their life styles, their backgrounds and environment and the same should be reflected in their costumes. Today there are no complaints coz the dressing was in sync with Laila's persona...but imagine Paro wearing the same kind of clothes...and you will sense the lack of logic.

Good post NB sa 😊
I have seen in the last few months thekind of comments made on sanaya because of her clothes , her dupatta , her hairstyle ...everything . Infact just last week was a comment on the pale green lehanga she is wearing ( which in my opinion is absolutely gorgeous and probably the best outfit I have seen her wearing in the show so far ..) saying its not authentic rajasthani and basically too sanayaish 😆

Laila's hair were poker straight yesterday and looked straight from a parlour , they definately were not rajasthani. Her cholis , the place where she ties her lehanga ( this btw seriously does not suit her as her tummy then really looks unflattering ) and how she wears her dupatta ...the less said the better 😆

What I don't want is for ankita to go through the knd of nonsense that sanaya did on her clothing in this show . I truely beleive CV's changed the way paro wore her dupatta due to these " protests " ...which was a pity .

I am cool with woman wearing whatever they wanna wear as long as they are comfortable , from a character pt. of view laila's clothes have to be more risque than paro's ...I get it.

All I know is paro ie sanaya is looking absolutely beautiful in the show and you can give her the tiniest of cholis , tie her lehanga as low as you want ...chunni or no chunni , she just cannot look vulgar .😊

Laila clothes suites her character, while honestly, Paro clothes are unsuitable for her character .. that's one thing ..

But I remember reading on this forum some cheap comments about Sanaya, that actresses who wear revealing clothes,.like Sanaya in RR, are doing that to sleep with producers and get works . So I wonder what does those people think about about Laila/Ankita clothes ! 😛

This I agree with in totality...in fact I had posted a similar response on a thread that spoke about clothes...that Paro would not wear the dupatta that way...!
At the time also I felt there was some confusion that those comments were for the actress when they were actually for the character!
But apparently the comments were made naming Sanaya so then...!
