EDITED:

Time and again, we face these subtle, these very superfine hints about how Rudra estimates himself. Repeatedly we see, how low his self esteem is. He might be a rock to reckon with in the outside world, but this man definitely does not think much of himself on the insides. And when it comes to Paro, he feels he is just not worthy of her and never will be. The seeds of the classic Othello, are being sown, the strands of his insecurities, his lack of belief in himself woven intricately in the plot. His mother abandoned him, a child, for another man, his father never found him worthy of his love, and his life has left him totally bereft of confidence. And he himself mentions the fact, when he confesses that he is nothing without his uniform. He only feels confident, alive, when he has that covering his body and soul. With his every self devaluating dialogue, with his every self depreciating shrug, the fear for the future, rises in me.

👏

That's all, as Miranda Priestly would say to this. 😃... This is Rudra's tragedy and Paro's destiny. Rudra will never have any emotional self-esteem, he will never have any faith in himself as a lover and a husband. Infact, he has no faith in himself as a human-being once his uniform is off his body. And THIS is what will kill Paro. No matter how much she loves him, it will never be enough to make him any different from 'Rootha Manbasiya'.

Like we had said it before. The seeds that Dilsher and his wife have sown, Paro will reap them and that too for no fault of hers.

I dread the future. Some part of me had this hope that may be they will pick up some threads from Othello and weave a lighter, gentler pattern. The recent events have me worried. Reading Othello was different, but seeing the tragedy reenacted in the form of Rudra and Paro is going to hurt, hurt like hell. Whatever their status is right now, its any day better than what it can and will be in the future. It hurts when your love is not reciprocated but to have love and lost is the biggest tragedy of a soul. In a sense Paro's love is destined to only destroy. Its legacy of pain will be fulfilled. She might give him all the love in the world, but for Rudra it will always be too late and too little. It will never be enough. She will just waste her heart, her love, her life, her soul on a man who needs it the most and yet will not be able to absorb the same. Sigh...don't know Vicky if I have the courage to see this through then...

This man has such low self esteem, he will never think his worthy of paro'a love!

Yes, I am pretty sure. Ashish made sure that we do walk down the memory lane with him. His superlative expressions said it all. Such a beautiful moment!!😊

You know what makes me think they will kill rudra and paro is because that's what they have done to all their shows. And this is othello take and in othello they actually die!

Stop...No yaar..aisa mat bolo 😭!! Anyways theres a long way to go...and statistics say such shows only lead to low TRPs. So, there is still some hope that they might have learnt from their past mistakes.
