And it's damn uncomfortable 😕!! There were parts today that literally made me cringe, and parts that took my breath away. The episode found me applauding at times, berating on occasions. The end result was total confuzzlement!!
The violence, yes, probably the most violent episode indian telly has ever seen. Violence, makes me squeamish, to say the least. The cruelty and goriness of the direction, made me wince and cringe repeatedly. But then, it has its fans. Especially men, who have long given up TV, taken hostage by the weepy willow brigade. Even an anti violence audience can see the finesse, the hard work, the style and substance that has gone in shooting the whole sequence. The violence was not appreciated, but the awesome camera work, stunts, techniques and performances, behind it, simply stunned. If it has to be done, it better be done in stylish perfection.
Although it was quite dramatic and OTT but the whole tricolor sequence had my blood boiling too. Patriotism is always a safe recipe, even if it's over cooked!
And although I am a Paro fan, her penchant for dropping unconscious at the most crucial moments, had me gritting my teeth. For God's sake woman, you have fainted twice in a week's time. Fainted every time you have faced him. Really?? Someone put her on a drip, inject some glucose in her, or pinch her, whatever it takes to keep her conscious at the most critical moments. And worse was her coming around, with all the world that was crashing down her ears, she finally decided to emerge when Rudra was shooting that idiot!! Lady, your timing royally sucks!! Her fainting spell literally made me dizzy...poor Rudra!! The hero ended up being a villain just cause the heroine fainted at an un opportune moment..and worse was her coming around, she should have been left in la la land...go figure!! The man will spend precious TRP months trying to make her come to her senses. He better carry an unlimited supply of smelling salts for his present hate but future love. Still gnashing my teeth over the belle's cliched and convenient fainting spell !!
Sitting on the fence got a new dimension through Varan Sa's character. Like me, maybe the cvs of the show too were undecided about his character, whether to make him positive or negative, and unable to come to a conclusion, decided to leave it at that. Was he terrorist...or an innocent desperate man...who knows and who cares?
And then came the man, that literally pushed and pulled, shoved and dragged me away, fence and all. At the end of the episode all I could think was...Ashish. All I could say was...Ashish. All I took away with me was...Ashish. Wow...what a power packed, mother of all action performances. The man took my breath away. Stupendous perfection!! His body language, his stance, his honing and toning, his suave expressions...take a bow Ashish!! Even for a second, couldn't take my eyes off him (and it was not all hormones 😉!!) Kudos to him and actually the whole team of RangRasiya, they have indeed raised the bar of Indian Television!
All in all, some parts I hated, some I loved but can't deny the hard work and perfection behind the scenes...Keep it up!!
