I liked the episode...yes some of the action was OTT and gruesome but the theme of patriotism reeled me in especially the Vande Matram and the indian flag in all its glory.

I thought Ashish was superb..from his body language in the action scenes to his expressions full of reverence and patriotism when he salutes the flag. That perceptible softening of expressions after hearing Paro's scream was good too.

I was also hoping for Varun is the real deal but now i think the way they showed was fine. Paro is still under the impression that he was innocent. Rudra killing an innocent, unarmed civilian would have made him a tainted officer. The way they are showing it, it seems Rudra's devotion to his force and country is his redeeming quality otherwise he is like an animal as ST put it so tainting that would not have been good.

Guinea, honestly, it was a tad OTT for me too ... too much violence, and very much Sunny Deol type filmy action, with one man standing to counter an army ... ok, ten-fifteen men 😉 ... and he felled them all. But people have liked it a lot ... so I guess it will appeal to viewers ... especially with Republic Day around the corner.
The flag and the song added to the patriotic feel, I love that song, so enjoyed that and did not concentrate on the action too much. It was Ashish's day ... and he did it superbly ... he is the best TV actor for action scenes that I have seen so far.

I found more riveting the total turnaround of Varun ... from Prince Charming he turned into the ugly frog ... he was too good to be true ... that imli with namak and being an orphan was far too pat. Urrgghhh ... cv's took us for a ride, and are probably laughing at us right now!!! 😆

Another post on the forum pointed out that no TV shows can show an army officer killing an innocent civilian, they have to show them getting hauled up for that ... so Varun had to be guilty for Rudra to shoot him. But the twist is the way they have done it ... so that only Rudra - and the audience 😉 - know that Varun is guilty, and Paro thinks Rudra killed her innocent husband ... while Rudra is not sure whether Paro is innocent or not ... and his credentials as an extreme patriot were established today. Can he fall in love with a traitor? Can she love her husband's killer? What a way to start a love story!!!

Paro's horror when she gets up ... the way they showed Varun's face with the blood dripping from the side ... her reaction when she sees him fall, and Rudra with the gun ... her scream ... loved that 👏

And the precap was brilliant ... Rudra torn with guilt about the death of his man ... Aman is alive, so this was another jawan ... Paro on the other side hysterical with grief ... a glass wall separates them, two tortured souls ... they are each others' salvation, but they don't know it yet ... and won't know it for a long time ... the story has just started.

One thing did you notice diya ...when the show started , it was all about how can you show BSD as the bad guys etc ... How can they kill innocent ppl ... How swiftly have the CV's made BDF and specially rudra the good guys when it comes to protecting their country and not killing innocents ...very smart...

Hello Diya, was looking for your take, the forum seems quite charged up and why not? What an episode, tons of dhishum dhishum. Rudra has been firmly established as the patriortic hero and even killed the bady groom. Chalo, at least our MU about Varunsa is cleared, he may be attracted to Paro, but not enough to put his life in danger for her. Another filmy coming to senses moment of Paro, just in time to see her husband's brain blown off by Rudra reinforcing her hatred.

There is a double MU here , of course there is MU from Paro's side but Rudra too thinks that Paro is abetting a crime. The montage shows what treatment Paro will get. Whatever little he may feel for her, his love of the nation is greater. Aman saw her at Kesari's store getting all nervous, and he had told Rudra earlier but was dismissed, now this lapse will come back with a vengeance and to top that his mistrust of beautiful woman, how can she not know what was going on under her nose?

Today was dedicated to Rudra and establishing his patriotism. Despite several leaps of faith one had to take watching the action sequence, I appreciate the effort put in by the team and actor. Ashish relishes action scenes and now we know why- boy! he can deliver. Also, loved the shots of the Indian flag flying majestically, very awe inspiring.

BTW, Aman is hurt but alive, there was a shot of him looking helplessly at Rudra when he was being beaten to pulp.

The precap looked really good. Phew! onto the actual story now...

U, the forum has liked the violence ... for me it was a tad overstretched and OTT ... one man against an army and he emerges unscathed is too filmy for me 😛 But yes, the action scenes were shot well, and Ashish performed them brilliantly. And this was to establish Rudra's patriotism and love for his country ... one redeeming quality ... although they also showed that Rudra can be truly brutal in the course of the execution of his duty ... the last killing of the Kaka showed that.

I LOVE the song ... Lata Mangeshkar's Vande Mataram with the tricolor fluttering in the background is truly inspiring for every Indian ...

For me, the meat of the episode was the changing color of Varunsa ... and the main purpose of today's episode, apart from establishing Rudra's patriotism ... the killing of Varun by Rudra in front of Paro's eyes ... no chance of any MU, did he, didn't he here ...

So Paro is left grief stricken in the loss of her perfect husband and her shattered dreams ... while Rudra thinks her an accomplice in the gun trade ... they both stand for what the other hates the most ...

Aman is alive ... I watched the precap twice to check on that ...
Speaking of precap ... how awesome was that mirror scene of Paro and Rudra ... two shattered souls, on opposite sides of the mirrored glass ... hand to hand ... cheek to cheek ... so near yet so far ... 😭😳

Dia 🤗
Ahaa - short but perfect post. Loved it.

The episode - not so much. I forwarded major portions of it due to the bloodshed shown.

Ashish was spectacular.

And yes, Rudra is a no nonsense man and just when Varun changed colors, he just shot the Frog 😆
No mincing words...no bhaashan baazi.

But seriously, Paro snapping her eyes open right when Mr. Frog got shot, had me laughing.
Cliches cliches...tsk tsk.

The precap scene is heart tugging...and I thought it is a beautiful scene - both Paro and Rudra together in their hell...

Wonder how they will portray Paro henceforth...

Am disappointed with today's episode... like Guinea... it was too jingoistic for me ... Ashish did well ... ( zulfein waving and all... I was thinking Chandragupta Maurya... not Rudra).😊

Of course Varun turning out to be a bad penny... hmmm... thought we could have had it differently..

Anyway... the last 5 minutes were the best... and the pre cap... another hero who can cry... I like them!!

RIP Parun ... Varun , long live Parud!

Things that did not work

1) I thought today's fight scenes were too OTT...
2) The uncle's killing... the old man was unarmed...
3) The BSD's search tactics... they missed ALL the guns...seriously.

Agree with you Diya on Rudra's planning ... looks like he is also a person who does and then thinks ... pehle baath bigaado and then NOT fix😆

I was shocked at Varun's turnaround ... but MKM's post made sense ... they couldn't show an army man kill an innocent civilian ... the turning point of the story is that Paro's husband is killed by Rudra ... ergo, Varun had to be guilty party. And Vishal played that well ... that last turnaround in his expression to evil ...

Action scenes ... well executed ... but a tad too filmy for me too. 😛

Things that did not work ... agree with 1 and 3 ... but 2 - I feel the kaka had to be killed, he was the master planner, and Rudra had no back up to arrest him ... the other BSD men were all dead or knocked out ... it was kill or be killed. Though I wonder if Rudra will be hauled up by his CO for not taking a single man alive ... now no information can be got about what's happening on the other side, and who are the masterminds there. His CO did warn him that he wanted information and proof, not encounter reports.

The most brilliant part of the episode was the precap ... beautifully shot, the symbolism apt ... two tortured souls separated by a glass wall ... together yet apart ... apart yet together ...

Siesta ... hola!!! 😃 I found the action a bit stretched today, tbh ... I loved the Vande Mataram and the flag ... hope that reels in the trp aunties and uncles. The armed forces will be happy too ... I do feel that showing the armed forces in a good light is important.

Ashish was fabulous today ... it was his day completely. I also felt they showed his brutality emerge, especially the way he killed the kaka ... so many shades of Rudra ... the patriot and the wild rebel ... his plan of intercepting a group of 40-50 armed smugglers with a posse of five men was also not the brightest 😉 ... though it made for good drama.

Agree with you about Varun being black ... sadly 😭
