Rudra the destroyer
Rudra the brutal animal

Rudra the Sunny Deol ka puttar 😉 Sunny Deol of Gadar fame ... he who decimated an entire army with his bare hands. Rudra has been taking some lessons there!

Action scenes very violent and explicit ... while in the background rang one of the most sublime songs ever sung in the history of Indian movies ... Vande Mataram by Lata Mangeshkar from the movie Anand Math.

Why did Rudra bring only five men to counter what he knew was a force of 50-60 men? There's being heroic, and there's being stupid ... this was definitely the latter. No wonder his CO warned him to act with his brain ... was the entire platoon parked outside the Thakur's haveli to give a sense of false security to the Thakur? And how was that helpful?

How many guns did the BSD miss in their search anyway? Varun had one hidden right under Paro's mattress ... apart from all the rest yesterday.

Prince Charming's mask falls ... but Paro slept peacefully though the entire fight, including the unmasking, and woke up at the worst possible moment ... she didn't see her prince turn into a frog, but she did see Rudra kill him.
And the mother of all MU's starts ... here!!! This MU is gonna be really tough to explain away ... seeing a man blowing her hubby's brains out in front of her eyes ... no woman is going to take too kindly to that.

The good thing is ... Paro is definitely a widow ... no coming back from the dead for her Prince Charming ... errr Frog ... Only thing is, Paro doesn't think that's a good thing ... yet.

What I really, really liked ... Rudra wasted no time in trying to reason with Varun ... no long speeches about iss ladki ko chhod do, etc., etc. ... just a terse 'as you wish' ... and bam! I've often wished that heroes in movies did the same ... those long farewell speeches always give the opportunity for someone to jump in and spoil the action.

This was basically the episode in a nutshell.

Warning - lots and lots of violence today ... those with squeamish stomachs, be warned.

*edit* ... the precap was simply awesome! Rudra and Paro ... together, yet so far apart ..

Haven't watched the episode yet.. but can't wait 11/12 hours to comment on your post!

Actually so far i have gathered from the posts on today's episode, there were some waw factors and at least one OMG factor!

Rudra's fighting and violence, wonderful camera work, phenomenal direction -- these are the signature elements of RR. They have already redefined TV shows in terms of technicalities.. When I watched yesterday's episode last night, i realized the reasons for all viewers' enthusiasm about the last scene.. It was absolutely magical.. And I can understand from past episode experiences, how well executed the action sequences were today.
Looking forward to watch it.

One thing more, the show always gives a movie impression with perfect technical works and that is the reason i never felt the violence at all objectionable .. Because it feels like watching a movie!

And the OMG factor today is the sweet, cute and perfect Varun'sa's unmasking.. Terrible!😡 Now its going to be easy to forgive Rudra for killing Paro's husband! you named it right, frog rajkumaar.. and good thing is no coming back!

And Rudra is really smart, smarter than most film heroes for not wasting time in farewell speeches.. So irritatingly funny to allow villains to come back with some new plan.. And what is the use of evoking conscience in bad people's mind specially when you are sending them to death-land!

Thanks one again for your post! Loved it.

Monica, wow factor were the actions scenes ... beautifully shot ... there was a lot of violence in today's episode, more explicit than yesterday. But again, I felt it was needed ... the skirmish at the border is the turning point of the story, and the start of the Rudra Paro story ... it was very much needed.
Today was totally Ashish's day ... and he did very well ... though the action scenes were filmy, with the usual twenty men standing around and attacking the hero one by one instead of all together ... why do they always do this? 😆

What stirred me more than the action was the song in the background when Kaka insults the Indian flag and Rudra stirs and drags himself to protect it ... that song is just sublime and added to the patriotic feel hundred-fold.

The OMG factor was definitely the Prince Chraming turning into a frog ... or toad ... or serpent ... and the twist is that Paro will never know the truth ... the one who could tell her is dead, and the only other one who can tell her will never be believed by her ... The audience will forgive Rudra easily for killing Paro's husband ... but Paro will take a good long time to do so ...

I absolutely loved that short terse speech by Rudra ... he wasted no time ... Varun was into threatening mode, but Rudra knew that Varun would not kill Paro, as she was his only defense ... Rudra wasted no time in trying to convince him or persuasion ... good man!!!

The precap is amazingly shot again ... through the glass, Rudra and Paro, both crying, both shattered ... he for his men ... she for herself, her new life ... both so close yet so far apart, with an abyss yawning between them. It will take a long time to bridge the gap.

Honestly diya ...I found the episode a tad to jingoistic for my liking 😆But seeing the no. of ppl who have loved the episode and liked the whole patriotic theme ...well I guess , this too has an audience. Anyway I guess , this was also shown so as to highlight the patriotic theme of the show and also show rudra as a hero ...
What I did like was the way they shot the action scene ...I can safely say nobody but ashish could have pulled this role . He is superb in action. 👏

Banne sa ...was not what he seemed , well it was a shock to me but so many others in the forum said this before ...so I guess it was too good to be true.

This show is pushing so many boundaries of a tv show , that probably showing rudra kill an absolutely innocent man was too much !

Paro will just absolutely hate rudra - he is BDF , probably kidnapped bindi and killed her , and killed her husband infront of her own eyes ...my god ! Can it get worse ...

Two scenes I loved - when paro gets up and her reaction when she sees her husband dead . And ofcourse the precap , it was so beautiful ...what a scene , both are each others salvation ...just don't know it yet.

Here's to tomorrow's episode ...I want an emotionally charged one ...we had a lot of action today 😆

The makers have amazing aesthetic sense.. so much of fineness in actions and chaotic scenes .. and definitely it would reach its ultimate height in the emotional scenes. I have seen the caps of the precap and already waiting for tomorrow's episode.

Hello Diya, was looking for your take, the forum seems quite charged up and why not? What an episode, tons of dhishum dhishum. Rudra has been firmly established as the patriortic hero and even killed the bady groom. Chalo, at least our MU about Varunsa is cleared, he may be attracted to Paro, but not enough to put his life in danger for her. Another filmy coming to senses moment of Paro, just in time to see her husband's brain blown off by Rudra reinforcing her hatred.

There is a double MU here , of course there is MU from Paro's side but Rudra too thinks that Paro is abetting a crime. The montage shows what treatment Paro will get. Whatever little he may feel for her, his love of the nation is greater. Aman saw her at Kesari's store getting all nervous, and he had told Rudra earlier but was dismissed, now this lapse will come back with a vengeance and to top that his mistrust of beautiful woman, how can she not know what was going on under her nose?

Today was dedicated to Rudra and establishing his patriotism. Despite several leaps of faith one had to take watching the action sequence, I appreciate the effort put in by the team and actor. Ashish relishes action scenes and now we know why- boy! he can deliver. Also, loved the shots of the Indian flag flying majestically, very awe inspiring.

BTW, Aman is hurt but alive, there was a shot of him looking helplessly at Rudra when he was being beaten to pulp.

The precap looked really good. Phew! onto the actual story now...
