Awesome post and a special mention to Guinea and Jaya for their lovely take as well. Sanaya has made me fall in love with her earlier hit character despite bad costumes, wig, hair clips and sometimes poorly written script and that itself demonstrates her potential, so I am confident she will do full justice with Paro. The terrace scene with her fiance and the temple scene pulled at my heartstrings and Friday she nailed it, she is Paro for me. She will definitely take this character to another level the only caveat being the writers and creatives stick to their story, their conviction, and don't start butchering characters under pressures of any sort.
Once again thank you for this post.

I was intrigued by Paro's character but I was more so watching for Sanaya in the earlier episodes. It wasn't until the second week, and we got to see more of Paro, I found that she is very convincing despite the settle and coy nature of the character. Till now, most of Sanaya's characters have had that strong streak to them along with tongue-in-cheek type of humor effect. However, I feel that with her taking on Paro is somewhat an attempt to reinvent herself as an actress. Depicting a Paro who is still fraught with the emotions you'd expect from an adolescent; confident at times, insecure at other - I feel Sanaya has done brilliantly.

I know Paro has started out small, demure and on the sympathetic side, but the events that are about to take place in the storyline will prove her mettle as she understandably copes against the onslaught of gore that will take over her life. At least, I hope so.

I liked Khushi only because of Sanaya I am not a fan of OTT female character but Sanaya looked so natural while doing those scenes. Khushi didn't replaced Gunjan for me I just connect with Gunjan in every single way maybe Paro can replace her lets see!

Some don't get this but Sanaya have fans in both Khushi and Gunjan. I know some of my friends who are Gunjan fans that never watched IPK because Khuhsi was just not there cup of tea. Just like many are so used to Khuhsi that wouldn't go back and atleast give Gunjan a chance when it comes to me I watched IPK and MJHT both from the start to end I adore both Gunjan and Khushi but I am just more of a Gunjan fan. They're also Khushi fans out there who wouldn't give Paro a chance because they're way too used to Khushi if she gain a brand new set of fandom with Paro then I must say hats off to her!

I have not watched MJHT, so can't comment on that show, the first time I saw Sanaya was as Khushi and she won me over with her talent, her screen presence and keeping the character endearing even when the script was faltering, that speaks volumes about her as an artist. An actor who wants to grow and challenge oneself will take up varied roles with different characteristics, and each one will find connect with divergent audience. Repeating more of the same cannot lead to versatility.

Yeah she was fabulous as Khushi I couldn't believe that was the same girl that played Gunjan.

I think Sanaya is transitioning well into her character - given the fact that she's practically been doing back to back shows for a while now, I can understand that the transition is not really easy to make for an actor. The shooting for RR started almost immediately after CC ended.

Her ability to morph into a specific character is without question though. I still remember when I first saw her in IPK - I had seen a couple of months of MJHT and sort of drifted off. I didn't connect that it was the same girl who played Gunjan who was playing Khushi here till I actually looked up information about the actress and saw her MJHT connection. 😆
I think I've seen a few scenes so far that give a glimpse of the fact that she's getting it - the scenes with her mami, her scene in the temple. I'm sure we'll see more scenes in future that develop Paro's character and allows us to form a connect with her.

U di, watching Gunjan WHILE i watched a dancing, jumping around Khushi in Dec 2011 times it was a cultural shock!😲 I just couldn't believe my eyes that demure studious nerd Gunjan was the same bubbly bundle of joy Khushi too!! There were many times i would stare incredulously at her for a few minutes n then shake my head!😆
i dug n dug in to MJHT after that! it was such an amazing experience to watch them side by side.. yet not for a moment find a SINGLE similar trait!
it was like 2 parallel universes.. i see the same face, but that was it.. right now i am sure many of her fans who have not seen her as Gunjan are seeing this shocking transformation for the 1st time

So wait n see.. she will go on to own Paro too!! that is even more than she does now! She will become Paro literally!
