I do agree though, that she sticks out among the rest.. and while that's common in television and dance numbers, I would love to see a forward trend in Indian television to make programming more realistic in this aspect. The lead is put into better clothes to stand out, but I'm personally not a fan of this. Just cause it's television doesn't mean it shouldn't be realistic. Imagine watching Grey's Anatomy and seeing everyone in scrubs, but Patrick Dempsey in a button down shirt! 😆

In her past show, for an example, even though Khushi Kumari Gupta's clothes were extremely different from the others, it was because the CHARACTER herself was completely unique and a bit pagli! 😆 I think in this case, the reasoning doesn't quite apply to Paro... but since Sanaya is the lead she's given the costumes to fit.

I can't comment on the authenticity of the clothes however, because I don't know anything about Rajhastani attire

I respect your opinion completely 😊 I'm sure you weren't here to instigate a fight, and I enjoyed reading through your post.

How should she look like a Saas Bahu heroine wearing old & cheap looking clothes looking like a side character and not a lead right? If Jenny can wear such outfits in SC why not Sanaya? She's looking different from the rest because she's the lead heroine maker made it clear the show has been shot on a grand scale like a film. No need for Insanity here!

While I agree with most of your points, I am going to disagree with a few points Zee. Khushi Kumari Gupta were given unique clothes because she was pagli but some of her clothes didn't go with her character either. The shy and demure Khushi would have never worn a sexy, miniscule choli in her sangeet, but she did. I don't recall any posts mentioning exploitation back then. I won't even talk about the thin dupattas around her neck, Khushi could have just gone without them. Of course, it was talked about in the forum...the forum was flooded with jokes...but there were only just jokes...there were no serious objections as we all knew the purpose of the dupatta. Payal wore her dupattas very differently, when they both should have worn it same way.

Moreover, as others have mentioned Sanaya is grown woman who knows what she's doing, so where is question of exploitation coming from? Let's just allow to do her work, shall we?
