even I feel the same. I want full dress for Paro. her costume is unnecessarily exposed.

I have looked and understood everyone opinions and I respect that we all have different views.

However, I have to disagree with the topic maker.

As @incandescent has demonstrated, the way sanaya dresses is completley in line with the Rajashtani women. The only difference is that sanaya is a much younger person and therefore the types of dress on her look modern on her. Sanaya is a beautiful looking person and so this is why the clothes that she wears look 'sexier.'

She is wearing the correct attire that represents Rajashtani women.

She is also the lead of the show. The show is about her love story with Rudra. It is a passionate, intense and dramatic love story about two young people who fall in love. She has to stand out from the crowd, even if she was wearing fully covered clothing she would still stand out, because she is sanaya. She is naturally stunning. Therefore, with the traditional clothes she is wearing it heightens her looks.

Why would they rely on Sanaya's clothing and beautiful appearance for TRPs? Have you not seen the beautiful script? Ashish's outstanding acting? The wonderful choreography of the scenes and beautiful backgorund music. Everything about this show has been so beautifully thought out already so TRP's will come anyway. Plus as much as I love sanaya, I don't watch this show just to stare at her beauty (even though she is stunning). The story line is already pulling me in.

I personally don't agree with that kind of statement that her clothes and beauty are the reason people are watching.

This is a show directed and made for young adults/teenagers/families and it is a love story.

I don't see anything wrong with what she is wearing and i can watch the show with my family. All she is showing is her stomach, I'm sorry but I don't really think that this is a provocative type of clothing.

This is a small matter which has now been made into a massive deal.

However, I respect your opinion as you are allowed to express your views.

But this show isn't relying on sanaya's beauty. It's relying on the amount of hardwork and thought that went into producing the show.

That's all I have to say.

Why would anyone want to cover it up in the show.
The other women with Parvati...thank goodness their waistlines were covered. 😆

Tomorrow when I go to the Gym I am showing my trainer Sanaya's waist and tell him that mine needs to look like that ...real fast. 😃

👏and blast goes another set of indian ladkis into an anorexic future. not everyone can have a waist like sanaya irani. and that is okay. learn to accept it.

i dont have a problem with the length of her blouse or the way her skirt looks like its stuck to her lower waist with glue.
i have a problem with the way her dupatta is draped.
i had a problem when khushi safetypinned her dupatta.
i had a problem when kumud used one layer chiffon for her dupatta.
i have a problem with those churidar styles that put a layer of chiffon at your midriff, too.
those are my personal problems.

i dont mind deepika wearing that outfit in ramleela because that is a movie that you go to theaters to see.. you choose to see it.. and it is a one time thing. and that movie has a rating of U/A or PG13.

this is a little closer to home. this IS a daily soap, whatever its makers want it to be. there are a lot of people watching the show, not just people of the urban/NRI community who dont care if they see less clothes than normal(as long as it is "glamorous").

in my personal opinion, it looks ridiculous when a woman with half her naked skin on display * looks pious/corteous/aagyakari.( * as compared to the support actors/extras- the women around her) ah well, i guess it matches with a "hero" who kills ruthlessly.

i dont think any of the 90's heroines looked less glamorous because they wore clothes that covered their body better. what say madhuri, kajol, aishwarya, sushmita?

when the bandits touched parvati.. i was expecting at least one to go straight for her buttercream hip.. because those hips were made to be touched. but the extras were careful to touch only clothed parts of her body.. why? because the actress, sanaya as a person, is uncomfortable with unknown men groping her? or is it because that would hit too close to reality? or because there is censoring on tv, too?

.
i come from a village, i come from a town.. i was raised by parents who insisted that a woman's virtue is accented by the clothes she wears. as a grown woman, i feel that you can be beautiful, and glamorous, without exposing your body. if you disagree, okay. if you agree, okay. this is my opinion, and thats it, rant over.

Cudnt have described it more perfectly...echoed my thoughts...any ways I have been termed as a Sanaya basher n RR hater, though I have been stuck like a glue to all Sanaya shows including Chhanchhan...watched Fanaa almost 50 times, just to watch Sanaya as Mehbooba, not Aamir or Kajol! Still for voicing my opinion I have been slapped hard virtually !😭

@bold red-I agree completely...bang on!👏

Personally I dont like short blouse be it on anyone in movie or in Tv.

but all such things are part of the glamour world which should be ignored if they are within the limit.

Another point is that Sanaya is not the first who is wearing such dresses on Tv, many have done before her and it is always such that the main lead always dresses different from the rest.

My final comment on this thread. I am just going to say that people are free to have their own likes and dislikes and I know that some people may not like certain ways of dressing which is understandable. I am surely not judging everyone or questioning everyone's sensibilities. Some may even be unaware of how Rajasthani women really dress. I myself was no expert.

But I am wary of certain people and their POV and I have strong reasons for this. As I said earlier, deja vu. And in this case, her clothes aren't even unauthentic. I loved Paro's look from day one, and after googling the pics, I like them even more as I can now see that the makers have indeed kept it realistic.

Rafaya1 and ankitamishra201 - thanks.

ipkknd_ - You're right. The clothes aren't really glamorous and sexy if you look at them as just clothes. It's Sanaya who makes them look sexy without appearing vulgar in any way. Loved your whole comment...very well put.👏

Sunara - thanks sweety. 🤗🤗 love you too. muahh. 😳 I think they have done a good job in making Sanaya look different than others, and maintaining the authenticity at the same time.

Vimal89 - Agree with your comment. She has a killer figure and if she has no qualms flaunting it than why should we? She looks gorgeous as Paro and does look like a village girl to me as well.

many films based on Rajastan choose these type of outfits...

Well in today times...
In films , shows people tend to use old fashion..

Compared to few i have scene .its good enough..

For me,
if she had full length blouse or no ..nothing changes...
and the male lead was never attracted to her by her tummy exposing ..it was her innocence..when Rudra looks at Parvati in lustful way..because of her clothes then i would agree with you..

Been silently seeing this post for a while now, but this one I do want to say some things

1. @ blue- Where does anorexia come into this? The person who has been quoted (mpat) clearly says she wants to go the exercise way to a fit tummy.. Assuming its exercise that people do in gyms..We have a generation of couch potatoes who are increasing the stats of heart disease by the minute.. If Sanaya's flat tummy has inspired someone to hit the gym, what's wrong with it? Whether she achieves that or not is a different thing..

2.@ red- I'm glad you accepted those as your personal problems.. That's what this entire discussion finally comes down to- personal opinions.. I hate wearing dupattas like a drape, instead prefer to wear them like Khushi does and love chiffon dupattas.. In most cities, dupattas are no longer considered a must with salwar suits.. So how one wears it is a personal preference.. And in a show the preference of the makers..

Ramleela having a U/A has the least to do with Deepika's outfits and more with the film content..

3. @ violet- This is the part i found objectionable.. How can one define a person's character by one's clothes.. It is this attitude among men and women alike that leads to episodes like Delhi.. Cant a woman wearing a mini skirt be religious, cant she have her faiths?? It is this attitude that has kept women lagging behind for generations.. Essentially instilled into the female mind by men to maintain male domination..

4. @ pink- This part helps me understand why you think so.. Having lived in the metro cities of India for most of my life, when I moved to a smaller town I have seen plenty of people with this attitude.. Been through the "dupatta situation " in real life.. Its a matter of situations and personal opinions.. What one is comfortable with..

So just as it is not right to call someone a "behenji" because she is dressed conservatively it is not right to judge someone's values or principles by her clothes.. Even a girl in a bikini has the right to be pious if she wants to be..

Why did the goons not touch Sanaya's waist? Yes there is censoring on TV and there are people appointed for that!!

It was not my intention to judge your personal opinions and all I want to say is extend the same courtesy to others..
