I found the Thakur's character very interesting.
I think the villages on the border bear the brunt of partition and their sentiment that the neighboring villages are very much a part of their lives and not a part of some other country is justified.
I thought Tarun Khanna's character of the Thakur would be a lecherous one...who lusts after the village girls inspite of having a beautiful wife...and somehow this will lead to a cross fire between rudra, thakur and paro.
Please blame all the movies and serials that we have watched where all the thakurs of the village are lusty 😆

But he took me by surprise...he seems like a good village head...and all the villagers adore him and respect him...and he seems to love his wife dearly...
and he even gave paro his ashirwaad...so there goes my theory out of the window...

So he is just a grey character till now...just like rudra...there is no black and white here...
He loves his village and is a pious man...family man...who hates the armed forces...

Rudra is a brave officer...who has a dark past that haunts him and makes him kill people ruthlessly...

So isn't it interesting to note that both the protagonist as well as the antagonist are guardian angels with grey shades...

How often does one get to see an antagonist in a positive light instead of smiling wickedly towards the camera boringly through out the show...

Its still initial days so you never know what will happen next...but this is what i have observed till now..

please tell me your views please 😊

P.S Cant wait for paro to faint and fall into rudra's arms tonight

It's my favorite genre during that scene today when Rangrasiya theme song was playing in the BG give a good feeling of Rudra being Paro protector and savior.

completely agreed. he seemed like such a nice man and seemed like such a nice head of the village that i find it hard that he is an antagonist. but then again i haven't seen this type of character in a while so i wasn't as shocked to see him easily dismiss himself to take care of some "business". but its none of the less interesting that they haven't completely or obviously made this guy such a negative and horrible antagonist but someone who is neither good nor bad and just falls along that neutral and like you said grey area.

Thakur's character is very interesting, I have no idea what his ulterior motives are till now he seems to be a man who hates BDS and does not want the border partition. His character will have loads of shades I think in the end he will be the bad guy and Rudra/BDS the ones who are protecting the villagers.

Ya its good that they didn't make him completely negative...if that would have happened the scope of his character would reduce
