The foundation of the village Beerpur was laid by Tejawat ... in Rajasthan, there were literally hundreds of small princely states, some barely more than a few villages, each run by their Rajput 'princes'. They were at loggerheads with first the British, and then with the Indian Govt, which deprived them of their lands and their titles. So that could be part of the reason for the distrust and antagonism.

oh .. okay.

i hope there are more to learn of these officers in the coming episodes ...

Loved the first episode and your take on it. I hope RR is going to be a winner. But i didn't get why would BSD kill a bus load of people without warning, hope the creatives will give us an explanation for taking such liberty.
This is Malini, a Sanayaholic.

As for the BSD killing people and not checking, I have a feeling that the Thakur Tejawat is instilling this hatred and fear among the people. Those could have been his henchmen in fake army uniforms who shot the people. This would make everyone hate BSD and more villagers would align themselves to his faction. Or it could be an overzealous officer, who decided that since this village is against Indian Army and the government, they're all terrorists.
@ TheSnowman- Dude, this is a review . Reviews are generally detailed. As for our collective gushing, we love Sanaya and we will continue to gush about her, esp when she does good work. So deal with it.

Su, you have a point there ... as per ST's interview on TB, and also from what I know of Rajasthani history, the bad blood between the Rajput princely clans and the government of India persisted after Independence because they were forced to give up their lands and 'states'. And the local people would obviously be loyal to him, as he is their 'maai baap'.

Again from the interview, the last bit sounds plausible @red ... that's supposed to be Rudra's character sketch too.
