Khanak pov
Dadi was very happy after the phone call. Khanak was feeling good seeing Dadi smile. She was wondering who had called up? Who made Dadi happy so much? She had never seen any of dadi friends come to meet her.
D: Khanak beta are you sure u want to learn English?
K: yes Dadi.
D: Then you have to do and follow whatever I say. Whatever means whatever..without any questions as to y ,who,what,being asked? Are you sure..only then can we do what you want.
K: Dadi I believe u completely and I will not ask any questions. I will follow everything you say...but I want to learn the city life and English at any cost. Promise I will follow everything u say.
D : Ok then pack your bags...we r leaving for simla now.
K : what? How can I go Dadi? All work here! Shantanu,Aadah,what will all say? And court has also asked me to not go anywhere.
D : u don't worry about anything. And even you know..U live here or not no one is bothered. Esp shaan. He toh doesn't even acknowledge you . Madhvi & khushboo ..they won't be bothered about u at all. As for court...don't worry I will handle it. If u really are serious about urself and your future...U will need to use this time of 6months...so that when u are divorced at least you will be able to look after yours and suraj parents. U have to prepare for tough times ahead. And I already told you no questions. So if you agree just go and pack your bags.
K: Ok Dadi as u say. You are absolutely right. It doesn't matter am in this house or not. Nobody gonna miss me. I better use this time to prepare for my future. Thanx Dadi for guiding me . And esp shantanu..he's not talked to me since two days...so why should I waste my time. Suraj always used to say don't lose a chance of learning...I won't lose this chance. Let's go Dadi.
Khanak very happily goes to her room,picks up her peti with her clothes already in it...because she doesn't have a room here...she stays in guest room. So she keeps a little belongings in her peti only.*Peti means iron / steel suitcase which khanak uses in show*
With a firm determination she goes down towards the car where Dadi is already waiting for her while talking on phone with somebody. Dadi watches khanak and smiles. Both sit in the car and drive away.
Khanak had never before even seen a plane up close. And here she was sitting in it. All new experience for her. She didn't know why or where Dadi was taking her but she was ready to have this break...from each and everyone...time to think about herself...time to think about suraj dreams...time to think about shantanu...wait...she,speaks to herself "what am I thinking? Why would I think about him? It's all because of him that I am facing? Why should I care about him? Why does he affect me? Huh...focus khanak...that guy only insults you,makes fun of you,u live or die he doesn't care...somehow even this thought pinched her...so khanak u better just follow whatever Dadi says and stop thinking about your lonely future...just think about your present...
Khanak was very thankful to Dadi. Dadi was like oxygen for her in this house and in her new life. She didn't want to dissapoint Dadi. This time she wanted to make her proud...and prove her belief that khanak is best,right. She wanted to make her Bai,Adah,and suraj. Proud too. Moreover she wanted herself to be proud and to show everyone that she wasn't a toy or joker to make fun off...
The plane landed...Dadi held her hand Nd said...this us your new begining new step towards ur new life. For get 6 months,forget shaan,forget your past...just rem u r khanak and only khanak...with a smile they move towards a waiting car..
Shaan pov
Its been two days now. Yesterday I was pretty late from party. I guess I should go and talk to Dadi and khanak. Esp dadi. I hurt her a lot. I shouldn't have done that. How can I behave so stupid. And uparse that khanak...aisey toh she will always barge in my room,give me long lectures,blah blah...And now she is not even in my sight. Today after breakfast I will talk to her. Breakfast...wow...what does she make.that. dhokla and that yum chutney with it...but wait why hasn't she yet brought my milk. She knows I am getting late to office. And where is Natasha.
He gets ready and goes down. He finds that Natasha herself woke up late after yesterday party and had already run to office. He felt bad ..that she didn't think about him or waking him up when she had promised to do so. He sat down with his dad ,mom brother and bhabhi. He was very anxious to see khanak??really when did it happen? Y was he again and again since morning waiting to see khanak?? Yeah only because he wanted to talk to her. Abut that laptop and wine fiasco. He wasn't sorry for shouting at her but he was a bit loud..His subconscious mind spoke...really Is this the only reason shaan...but shaan ignored his this strange voice Nd waited for khanak to bring breakfast.
S: Dad..mom where is Dadi?
M: Shan why do u even bother...she's gone on Somme teerth..so BP...boring place..
S: Dad where did she go?
D: beta she's gone to her friends place for a few days. She just informed me before going. Arrey will somebody serve food...I am hungry...
K: wait dad I will go and see..y the bf isn't served yet..
A: mom where is khanak...She always serves bf na? I haven't seen her since morning.
M: hari lal...where is KFD...I mean khanak from dhulwari...?
H: Dont know mam..haven't seen her since morning.
Shan is a little worried now...but how could he ask anyone about her whereabouts...He had to pretend ignorance
S: leave it mom..bhabhi she must be sitting in some room somewhere why bother...I really don't care...but just take care she eats...I don't want her to die..u know court and all..blame will come on me if anything happens to her..
Hoping against hope that someone would tell where she,would be...knowing her esp from the time she came to Mumbai...kitchen is her sanctuary...if she isn't here where is she...
K: yeah shaan she must be sitting in some corner and moping...who cares...she's not worth our time..u just worry about natz and ur project today..
Shan was actually worried now...nobody knew where she was..how could he be so careless...did she leave and go...dad must know but how would he ask him...
D : don't worry Shan...She won't bother you all for few days..Shan u can relax..u told her enough...She will never come in your way...
Shaan was feeling uneasy...He wanted to see khanak...wishes safe and fine...And what does dad mean by she won't disturb me for few days...y what had happened to her...omg..He would be punished if something happened to her...foolish girl...doesn't even know the ways of city and our society...what has she done now that she's hiding...uff..
S:what do u mean dad? I mean good she won't bother us...but y?
D: because she's also gone with Dadi for few days...so u won't be seeing them till Dadi comes back with her. So enjoy coz it may even be a month.
Shan was shocked to hear this. He suddenly became very angry." Whatt...a month???? Who gave her the permission to go? How can she go just like that? Dad she never took permission from me. Did she tell you?"
K: shaan y are u so angry. U should be happy. U only always wanted her to go away and not show face to you...u should be happy ur wish is fulfilled...first good thing she has done after coming here.
Shan was trapped. He didn't know why he was angry..Nd for whom? Why did it bother him that he wouldn't see khanak for may be even a month..And how dare she go away without even asking him...She was his,wife. Wasn't it her duty to ask him first...take his approval...He didn't like this one bit...and wait y was he suddenly calling her his wife...why was he beinng so...so...uhh...but whatever this was not done...Howe dare you khanak?.with this he leaves. The table and walks away towards his room...wanting to punch something..And greatest of all nobody knew where his stupid wife went away...how could Dadi do that...now he had to find where they went...
Sunil was grinning from ear to ear...He kind of guessed. That shaan hadn't taken this news happily...He was angry..how right his mother was...there was hope...And he would help his mother exactly the way she wants...He did get a hint today...howmuch ever thew two fight...but there is something between them...which they don't yet realise...He was gonna have fun watching this love story...of his son and daughter in law...
