well before you all think this idea to be too much far-fetched lets actually go into the topic...
Pygmalion-A romance in five acts is a great play by George Bernard Shaw(which I had in my high school and university)..the main theme being the metamorphosis of Eliza Doolittle,a common flower girl from a london slum to being passed off as a dutchess...
the main similarity between them struck me when I read a TC article saying Shantanu was going to be prof.higgins for Khanak...
the main similar points are
-even khanak metamorphosed from a village-belle to a city girl
-she was a misfit in the ambience of the K family..
-However much like Eliza she was also very pure in mind and heart...
I know this is a very far-fetched comparison and they hardly have anything in common but I opened this in forum which play u find RBO most similar to...your points of sinilarity and dissimilarity and all...

I would say the 'Shaan Ki Phaatshala' track was certainly inspired from Pygmalion ...
But RBO and ShaNak relationship was something esle entirely 😃...

exactly!!!!!!!!!I only meant the pathshala thing...that was the main track..shanak relationship was definitely romantic and not anti-romantic like the play...

If only Shantanu could remain focused on teaching ...It didn't take him long to fall in love with his student 😆
But on another note, watching more phaatshala classes would have been amazing ...Imagine Khanak reading to Shaan 😆...

I wouldn't say it was the main track in RBO😳...But it was an important milestone fot the show and ShaNak...
On further reflection...ShaNak are not the usual serial couple😊...They are unconventional and totally frank with eachother...ShaNak's love is realistic and believable...I suppose in that sense, they were inspired by the play 😊...
