When she steps out of Raj's room, Raj is looking at her with a huge grin, she can't help but smile and walks to the dining table to fetch some water, as she was feeling thirsty…Raj follows her..

Raj: kya kua Khanak?? (asks her innocently)

She knows that he's in the mood of talking and teasing, so takes a seat on the chair with the glass of water…Raj takes the seat next to her..

Raj: batau na Khanak?? (nudges her )

Khanak: Raj!! Stop it..

Raj: ok!! I wanted to tell you something, actually you could say that I have a message for you!! (serious, still smiling)

Khanak: kya?? Don't tell me that you fallen in love…(giggles)

Raj: very funny Mrs. Khandelwal, but its about Dhruv. (cuts it short)

Khanak is silent, looks ahead, she still feels bad for him, she had shoved him out of her life, she still regret it, but it was about Shaan's feelings, she didn't want to let Shaan down, but she was ready to betray her friend, she had to make a choice and she had chosen her husband over her childhood friend..

That still hurts her, its not that she's blaming Shaan for this, but still, may be somewhere her closeness with Dhruv bothered Shaan, she knew that, she had to step away from Dhruv;s life for his and her good!! As even his mother wanted the same, time had helped her to overcome that sadness, and yes ofcourse our Shaan and Aayush…

Raj exactly knows what must be going through her mind, he knows Dhruv's version and her version of their story..4 years ago, when Dhruv had proposed her, Raj knew that, Dhruv was not joking and he was serious with the decision, at the same time he knew that Khanak didn't hold any feelings except a good friend one..Raj even knows, after that fateful accident, her life had taken 360 degree change, broking of her marriage, and also rummaging through her ownself, praying to god, atleast have some coutesy for and save Aayush from that bad state had been, Raj was there for her, at times when her day would go bad at the hospital she had let out her tears flow in front of him, at that moment she had got Raj has her pillar, and even he treated her like his sister, he wasn't there with her to just show some sympathy to her, he was there to fulfill his promise as a friend. He had remembered her laughing face, all the time teasing around not even minding the seniors, he had liked her as a friend..

Not to mention, his dinners were at her house, when her parents lived as well when they were not.. Raj wasn't that close to her, but he would love to help her, but Khanak was adamant telling that she had to lead the life, thinking that, her past single life would continue to till her last breath, her only aim was to make Aayush a great person in his life, be his strength, only Aayush aimed in her life leaving herself aside in her own life..

But, Raj was happy when she had found Shaan as her right person, he didn't knew how they connected to each other, but the sparkle in her yes whnever she used to see Shaan in corridors was something different, she had been back to old self, and he loved his friend like this, and he would be there for her though she has Shaan in her life, Raj jaisa ek friend toh banta hai, right??

Khanak: (suddenly she smiles) kaise hain Dhruv?? DD?? Are they in Mumbai?? (speaking her heart out)

Raj: (smiles) sab teek hain, no they are not, but I've got a news about him, which makes you happy, I guess more than you Shaan will be..(chuckles conspiratorily)

Khanak: achcha?? (looks at him)

Raj: Dhruv got engaged Khanak!! (softly)

Khanak: oh goodness!! Are you serious?? I mean are you kidding?? (happy at the same time don't want to be fooled by her beloved friend)

Raj: main mazak nahi kar rahan hun Khanak..

Khanak: that's great!!! (ecstatic) I mean..(very happy that she can't express) im speechless, im just happy for him!! Who's the girl??

Raj: uske mom ne dekha hain Khanak!! And naam asusually mujhe yaad nahi hain..

Khanak: Dhruv aur arranged marriage, its sounds like its unbelievable..(shakes her hand, after that she giggles) Raj!! Tum bhi na..

Raj simply shrugs..

Khanak: waise..i don't like the way you behave with Nisha..(softly)

Raj: kyun teri best friend hain?? (smiles with the sarcasm in his tone)

Khanak: haan hain!! Aur ek baat, I would love to see to you and Nisha together.. u know seeing each other, falling in love, getting married..(dreamy)

Raj:eeks Khanak!! Aisa kuch nahi ho saktha..(dismissive)

Khanak: kyun nahi, see she's really a good girl trust me..(saying that she slowly gets up she knows what follows next, she's at the back of him, slowly slipping out)

Raj, seems like he's giving a thought on her line, but when the reality sets in his anger bubbles up, making him yell Khanak!! She giggles and run back to her room…..

Morning, Aayush is with Raj, while Shaan is in a meeting with onco people, Khanak and Nisha are done with the rounds, they are walking along the corridors..Nisha is happy, may be because in the morning, Raj had ignored her, well she's unaware of Khanak pairing, her with Raj..

Nisha: Khanak kal, cave ke under kya hua?? (smiles smugly)

Khanak: kya hua?? Kuch bhi toh nahi…(looking away, blushes, but she's clever in hiding it in front of Nisha)

Nisha: jhoot mat bolo, bolo na..(she pulls her, now Khanak is facing Nisha)

Nisha: oh wow!! What a great timing..(smiles seeing above Khanak's shoulder)

Khanak: kya??

Nisha: aapka admirer ka..udhar dekho..(Nisha turns Khanak around, now Khanak sees the person who's still far away from her, her eyes wide opens, and she remembers the fight with her husaband)

Nisha: Ajay!! He has seriously got the nerves!! (smiles and looks at her right, and the sight to watch)

Nisha, doesn't call Khanak this time, just makes her turn, and this time Khanak lets out a gasp, the only thing she knows that is, if Shaan sees Ajay..then..

Khanak: marr gayi..(shuts her eyes)

Opens it back, but only to look at her charming husband, she gets to know that he is happy, she smiles at him..

Shaan is beaming and coming near her, even Ajay. Shaan reaches first, he sighs when he reaches near to her, Khanak nearly forgets that even Ajay was approaching her, before Shaan could speak, Ajay comes over..

Ajay: hey Khanak!!

This voice startles both of them, Shaan doesn't have to look over to see who is it, he's annoyed, his smiles has disappeared, Khanak is like oh god!! Shuts her eyes, but on a second thought, she thinks it might be professional too..

She turns over to Ajay, but this time Nisha comes in between Ajay and Khanak..

Nisha: Ajay chalo na, hum caf chalkar baath karthe hain..

Ajay: lekin..(he turns to Khanak)

Nisha:arrey chalo na..(literally drags him out, Ajay is startled, while making a move out, Nisha turns to look at Khanak, and winks at her)

Khanak and Shaan both are stunned..

Shaan: That was weird..(standing next to her)

Khanak: yeah..(still looking at the way Nisha went off)

Shaan looks at Khanak, he can see that she's happy, it brings a smile on his face, he knew that this happiness in her eyes was not because of the fun thing, but it was because of him, she's elated to be with him, if she's asking something then he has to give it right?? Ofcourse she holds the right in his life!! Solely his life!! This thought enlightens him, if he was not standing in hospital corridor where people are looking over, he would have given her a bone crushing hug and who knows may be a passionate kiss, you may never know..Its Shaan!!

But for now,he clears his throat to wipe out his thoughts and to just ask her on a date!!

Khanak pays her attention back to him, she looks up at him with a smile, he's smiles back too, at the same time presses his lipsto hide the gurgle sound produced in his throat, due to extra happiness in his life which was just because of her!

Shaan: umm..Khanak!! aaj sham ko tumhara off hain!! (he declares it, as though he's the head)

Khanak: matlab??

Shaan: I mean, aaj tumhara aadha din ki chutti hain!!

Khanak has no idea what he's talking..

Shaan: Khanak yaar..i want to spend some time with you alone..ok!! (holds her upper arms and stares at her)

Khanak stares back at him, she's not sure whether she should hop in joy, or to get nervous..

She would be alone with him, just her and him, no other things in world, just like oldtimes, this time she's extra nervous than ever she was..

She's happy that he's making a move, she's ecstatic and on cloud 9 like we say..She just want to fly high like the same way, she felt when he had first proposed her…
