Part 70
Time…As people say, we should take time for everything..even, we should take time to love, so that we'll be loved back…
But for Shaan, time as stood still…He once again is in a state where, he doesn't know what to do, but once again he had not broke in front of the whole family he held his grounds…He doesn't have any idea, what made her to take a drastic step like this…but for now, he had to take care of Aayush…Shaan without a second thought, had hugged Aayush…Aayush was safe in his papa's hands…
Akshay and Sunil had come to know the news…Khandelwal's had lot of questions in their mind, as they know that, Shaan and Khanak were the love birds of their house, each of them not leaving other's side, they would tease each other, but at last they would end up as a team….
For now, they leave father and son alone…They are upset too, but for now, Shaan and Aayush needed the time to recover from this big change in their life…
Both of them were depended on woman, who's now left them alone…Shaan wanted to scream, he feels like he's lost everything in his life…had he hurt her so much??? Then what about the little guy?? He must be feeling worse…Shaan picked up Aayush in his arms, takes him to the bed, makes him sit, Aayush is sobbing…Shaan feels like someone has punched him hardly on his stomach, he's left with broken things around…His heart which was just filled with his love…Khanak…has broken into tiny tiny parts…
Shaan makes Aayush sit on his bed…Aayush has stopped sobbing..Shaan kneels in front of him…Shaan doesn't know what to say, as for now, words doesn't form in his brain…He fumbles with his words…
Shaan: i…Aayush…(he's teary eyed, Aayush looks up at him)
Before Shaan could say or ask anything, Aayush hands him the letter, which Khanak had written…
Aayush is like Khanak…Shaan thought…
Shaan took the paper, his hands tremble…
"Aayush…
Im sorry, aap apne mom ko maaf kar doge na..
Aap ke papa ko aapki zaroorat hain, lekin shayad mera nahi…(Shaan can see that, a big tear drop had soaked the paper)
Im leaving without you, only for the reason, that your papa needs you, be his strength, as you are for me..
I love you the most, aap mera wish poora karoge na..i know you'll never let me down, papa ka khayaal rakhna…

Shaan can't believe what he read, he reads the line 'aap ke papa ko aapki zaroorat hain, lekin…'
She thought that, I won't need her now?? How can she??? May be, my reaction, has caused her to think like this?? But why?? Didn't she know that I love her like nothing in the world?? Was I so rude to her??
His thoughts runs in his mind….Aayush continues to stare him…..
Shaan clears his vision, and rakes his hair, looks straight into Aayush's eyes…
Shaan: Aayush, apne breakfast kaya??
Aayush shakes his head in no…
Shaan: chalo aap fresh ho jao, aaj sirf hum dono, breakfast karenge…main bhi fresh ho jata hun…Shaan looks for Aayush's towel, finds it, hands it to Aayush….
Aayush continue to sit in the same position…
Shaan inhales deeply…
Shaan: Aayush trust me, Khanak, jaldi hi aayegi, she has taken a holiday from us, she's playing with us, hum bhi usse dikhadenge ki hum usse miss nahi kar rahe hain (his voice shakes, but talks without fumbling)
Aayush hugs his papa, he's not still a kid anymore, and yes he would fulfill his mom's wish, but he's anger with his mom…
Shaan hugs him back, tightly…
Aayush: papa aaj school jana hain…
Shaan recovers himself, moves out of the hug…
Shaan: school??
Aayush: aaj report cards de rahe hain, aur aaj next class ki admission bhi karni hain…(slowly and softly)
Shaan has never done this, but this time he'll do it, without failing anyone…
Shaan: haan, toh hum saath challenge na, tum bhi fresh ho kar breakfast kaalo, main bhi fresh ho jaata hun…teek hain??
Aayush nods, he goes to freshen up…
Shaan gets up slowly, walks out of Aayush's room, reaches their room, which is now only his…
He walks in, looks at the bed, her phone lies there lifelessly, some papers which he don't recognize are placed, he walks to the window, he looks out, and stands…his thoughts playing…
Sunil enters in, goes and stands next to his son, keeps his hand on Shaan's shoulders, Shaan continue's to stand in the same position…
Sunil: I've called the police, they are looking for her everywhere, don't worry we'll be able to find her as soon as possible…
Shaan remains silent…Sunil continues…
Sunil: I don't know what's wrong with you both?? But still you two should talk and sort it out..aisa hotha hain, kabhi kabhi, anjaane main, hum unhe dukh pauchadete hain…tum fikar mat karo, I'll handle…
Pats on Shaan's shoulder, turns around to leave…
Shaan: Dad!! (Sunil turns around, Shaan also turns around) No use dad!! She's long gone..aap complaint waapis le lejiye….
Sunil: But Shaan…what about you??
Shaan: I'll be fine dad!! Don't worry…..i should survive…(saying that Shaan walks towards his cupboard, opens it finds only his clothes, there's nothing in her part of cupboard, tears cloud up……he holds it back)
Sunil: how can I not worry about you?? You are my son…
Shaan picks his clothes, turns towards his caring father…
Shaan: for now, I have to think about my son……..(he walks to the bathroom, coolly)
Sunil is sad to see his son like this, on the other hand, they haven't still got any information about her where abouts…..
Khanak, did see a notice, she was sure that she didn't need many people around her, found that a girl needed a room mate, she stayed in a 2 bed room house, just two roads down the hospital, Khanak noted her number, first she had to get a mobile….
She ran down the hospital, enquired about the mobile store, found one, brought a phone, first thing she did was to call that girl…
Her ground is settled, she had to meet that girl at the caf by noon…
Aayush was having breakfast when Shaan had come down; even Khandelwal's were present, it was silent, its not how is day is to start…he had to find her, but where??? It hurted him the most, that she had left only because she thought that he, doesn't need her anymore…a shooting pain caused at his chest area, he wanted to cry louder, but he's surprised to see Aayush like this…
Aayush is quite, but he's more composed…Shaan promises to himself that he'll never hurt Aayush, knowingly or unknowingly, he will stay with him….Khanak had asked Aayush to take care of Shaan, but now, Shaan will look into that, he never leaves Aayush alone…
Shaan: Aayush chale?? (folding his sleves)
Aayush: hmm…aap breakfast nahi kaaoge?? (Aayush looks up at Shaan, Shaan is stopped, all others to look at Shaan)
Shaan: main baad mein khaloonga…(checks his phone)
Aayush: aap abhi khao, nahi toh main nahi jaa raho aapke saath…(pouts)
All are sad, Shaan without thinking anymore, its next to Aayush, pours juice into his glass, drinks it half, and eats 2 toasts, wipes his hands and gets up…
Shaan: ab chalein??
Aayush nods, and gets up…
Shaan: Mom, do I need to take something, u know for the admission…
Madhvi: No beta…lekin Shaan…
Shaan: mom, aaj hum lod lunch bahar karenge, aur main Aayush ko hospital ke liye saath leke jaa raha hun…
Shaan doesn't wait for the reply, he walks out with Aayush, Shaan has held Aayush's hand securely….
Aayush had excelled very well, teacher had lots to say about Aayush excelness..She did ask about Khanak, both had gone into a silent mode, and Shaan had changed the topic by asking about the admission and when was Aayush's school going to start…
A whole day had completed….For some reason, our three leads had found this day a tad bit longer, not to mention painful and sad….
Khanak's room mate, Nisha, was working as duty doctor in the same hospital, Nisha is younger than Khanak…soon they had become friends…..
Shaan was told that, they couldn't find about the where abouts of Khanak, they had searched whole Mumbai, but she wasn't there, Akshay suggests to check in Lonavala farm house, Raj says that he'll accompany the police, Shaan has listened to everything, but walks away…
Shaan goes to Aayush's room, Aayush is slept, dadi's stories and whole day tiredness, had made him sleep early…..
Shaan, swiftly picks him up, Aayush moans in sleep, just like his mom..Shaan thought…
Shaan walked back to his room, placed Aayush on the huge bed, Aayush snuggled to the pillow…Shaan heard some rasp sound below the pillow, Shaan slowly searched for the thing, found a letter, Shaan wondered….
Khanak had reached the house, Nisha was too tired to ask a thing, but yes Nisha knew that Khanak is married…Nisha had hitted the sack early…
Khanak very well know that sleep was far away for her, she reached her room, closed the door, sat down on the floor, her tears which she had held from morning, started to flow continuously she hugs her knees and starts crying…She tries her best to not to make any noise, her chest hurts badly because of all the crying…
