People who are in concussion, in simple language, which is called violent shock!! People don't remember what they would have spoken…So, this means that, Khanak doesn't remember whatever she had blabbered in front of Shaan??
She had not told him the whole incidence; she knowingly had skipped to tell him, her encounter with Dhruv's mom and Anjali…
Now also he's not sure why she had uttered those hurtful words, but he also knew that she's hurt and blaming herself..now this was the situation, how was it 3years back?? How she would have felt?? Had she broken down the same way?? Who was there to hold her and console her?? Was it Dhruv?? (this rises his temper, but in the next second calms down) Had she recovered by herself?? Or had she been still on the depression mood, until he met her?? Or is she still the same, hiding hurtful things from him??
These thoughts play in his mind but for now, he just know that he has to shake her literally from this state, he looks down at her, she's fast asleep, curled up once again to his form, and lost somewhere in her dreamland…
He looks towards the side table, where her dinner's waiting, though it had become cold by now, he covers it with another plate which he had brought…
Sometimes our hurt would be so deep, it just fills our heart, it's a round about way of telling that hunger dies in our stomach itself…
He switches off the light and hugs her to his chest and tries to sleep…
Morning raises with new hopes, new comfort zone, new decisions, both are woken up, hoping that this day will bring them joyful moments, but not to relent with the past…
He's walking in and out, she has freshened herself, but she's in no mood to meet anyone, sits on the bed legs stretched on the bed, looking towards the window side, he just stares at her longingly…
Suddenly, the door opens, bit loudly, she turns towards the door, sees Madhvi and Sunil entering, she straightens up from the bed, Sunil and Madhvi smile warmly at her, she tries to return it, but it doesn't come as effective as it would come…Shaan's fingers get crossed!! His first attempt…
Mahdvi: (sits next to her) kaise ho Khanak???
Sunil: Madhvi, yeh kaisa sawaal hain!! Obviously she's fine!! Bahu kiski hain!! (pulls his collar up)
She looks at them closely, this reminds of her mom and dad…
Madhvi makes a face, and remains silent, as her mother would do many times…Her lips slightly twitch remembering those days…
Akshay and Khushboo enters in, Khushboo is holding a bowl of soup in her hand…
Akshay: arrey Khanak, tum abhi bhi bed pe hi ho??!! Dad this is not fair!!
He just sounded like her brother, who would complain, whenever she sleeps more than thim…Her dad used to take her side, and she would show her tongue to him..
Khanak's smile reaches her eyes…Shaan is a bit relieved…
Khushboo: Akshay!! Kyun tung kar rahe ho?? Khanak yeh lo, maine tumhare liye tumhara favourite soup banaya hain!! (smiles)
Her bhabhi, who would just experiment on her cooking things, always used to ask Khanak to taste it…
Khushboo just puts the spoon into her mouth, thankfully it wasn't that hot…
Khanak: (overwhelmed) aap log mere liye, itna sab kuch sochthe hain im really happy, lekin aap logon yeh sab karne ki kohi zaroorat nahi hain!! (holds Madhvi's hand) trust me, mujhe sirf thoda time chaiyiye, I promise (chokes a bit, but controls), I'll be fine, uske baad, agar aap khud khayenge toh bhi main chup nahi rahungi..(tries to laugh)
Dadi: zaroor beta!! (who had enterd long ago) but promise us ki voh aaj se hi hoga!! (shakes her index finger)
Khanak smiles and nods!!
Khanak: Aayush kaha hain?? (looks over to Shaan)
Dadi: voh tumse bahut naraz hain!!
Khushboo: haan Khanak bahut!!!
Khanak slowly smiles at everyone, and gets up slowly, looks over to Shaan, she completely knows that this was his idea, of making her smile…She might have met some people, who think evil about her, but this man would never fails to bring a smile on her face, she finds her blessed to have him in her life, even if she thanks her fortune for billion times it wouldn't have been satisfied, just how could she show him that she's gratified, to have him in her life???
For now let's concentrate on Aayush, who needs complete attention from his mom….
She enters in to his room, Aayush is readying himself for his school, he's arranging his books in his bag, Khanak goes to him, Aayush did notice her coming, but he remained silent…
Khanak: mujhse baat nahi karoge?? (softly)
Aayush doesn't answer, he walks over to his bed, to put on his socks and shoes…He sits on the bed, she joins him…
Khanak: im sorry Aayush, voh kal…
Aayush: Mom!! Aap ko kuch kehne ki zaroorat nahi hain!! (Tieing the shoe lace)
Khanak: aise kaise?? I know that you needed me the most…it's just that….i think I've become selfish…(once again enetering into her depressed mode)
Aayush turns to her side, he feels bad to……
Aayush: Mom!!! (gets up suddenly and yells, Khanak is startled looks at him)
He comes in front of him, his yelling has caused, Shaan run into his room, Shaan has just entered, he's holding the door's handle…
Aayush: Mom, please…agar dadaji, papa (speaking about Khanak's dad and bhaiyya) hothe tho, voh bhi aapko iss…(not sure what's the word)
Khanak: (supplies the word) halat…(slowly though)
Aayush: haan wahi…(This brings smile on Shaan's face) nahi dekhna chahthe….Mom, agar aapko khud ke bare main sochna difficult ho raha hain toh, mere bare main aur papa (Shaan) ke bare soch lijiye ga…
She can see that he's furious, she nods slightly, appearing scared…
Aayush: And haan!! When I get back, I want that smile on your face mom!! (warns)
Khanak's eyes wide opens, Shaan chuckles…
Aayush picks his bag, moves towards Shaan…
Aayush: bye papa!! Shaan bends down, smiles at Aayush…
Shaan: bye!!
Aayush with a huff!! Moves out…
Khanak: (is still in shock) did he just go, before telling me bye…??
Shaan laughs…
Shaan: abb chalo, breakfast bhi nahi karna??
Khanak looks at him, Aayush's right, she has to do something, to make the two-some in her life, most happiest…She smiles and walks up to him..both of them leave fron there, joins the whole Khandelwal clan for breakfast, they are happy to see her, even she's happy to have all of them in her life…
She takes over it from harilal, she serves for everyone…Shaan is glad that, she's trying her hard to get out of her inner feelings, but he's still not sure what's going in her mind, he's distracted from her, as she serves him his breakfast and smiles at him, he returns it…
Akshay and Sunil crack some silly jokes, which makes Khanak laugh…
Sometimes, we would have led our emotions to take control of ourselves, just not thinking about what it could cause further…which also leads in hurting our near ones…Though we wish that we shouldn't hurt them, but in some or the other way, we fail…sometimes…
At noonish, Shaan had got his day off, he's home, he comes back to their room after having a chat with his dad, who now-a-days, stay home often…
He finds her sprawled on the bed, sleeping on her belly, computer in front of her, looking for something on the net…
Shaan: (walks in) what are you doing??? (she looks up at him)
Khanak: Shaan, your trying for URMC right??
Shaan: yeah!! Why??
Khanak: just like that, I just wanted to see the programme…Did you fill the form??
Shaan: no Khanak!! I think its too early…im thinking of giving myself time.. you know it's a big thing…
Khanak: (sits up) Kyun?? Try karne mein kya problem hain??
He sits next to her…
Shaan: try karne main kohi problem nahi hain Khanak…but, I've to find my grounds first, I've got new responsibilities, I know that im interested in oncology part, but priorities change right??
Khanak: but you were sure until yesterday, right?? Shaan if this has got something with my outburst, then…(sad)
Shaan: No khanak!! This has got nothing to do with you…ok!! Chalo, aaj form bhar hi dete hain…
Khanak: can I do it?? (eyes glittering)
Shaan: Sure…(smiles)
He opens the form and gives her the lappy…She takes it from him, kneels in front of him…
Khanak: teek se baito na??
Shaan: teek se?? (confused)
Khanak: move your legs apart…(he's sitting on the edge, confused, stretches it, in no time she sits in between his legs comfortably) abb teek hain!! (declares)
He leans back to the headrest, legs stretched out, her back leaning on him, her legs stretched out too, lappy on her lap…
She fills his name, his date of birth, his father's name….
Khanak: in which college did you complete your post graduation??
Shaan: King's Medical college in London…
Khanak: year???
He answers… it asks for his marks, he remembers them all, she types it….
They have finished it, laptop is placed aside, she's leaning on his chest, his arms wraps around her, eyes opened..
Khanak: I just want to stay like this forever…(her hands on his)
Shaan: hmm..(just allows her to talk, his heart is thumping hard)
He at a moment had decided to ask her, did she really think about their marriage in that way?? But now she seems to be relaxed, may be she had flown, but still…??
Khanak: im sorry Shaan!!
Shaan is brought back from his world of words…
Khanak: I know, you must have felt terrible, by seeing me…like…
Shaan: Khanak…
Khanak: no Shaan!! Let me…I just don't know what went wrong, either the date or my foolishness of forgetting the day..or…(stops herself telling him, about her encounters..)
Khanak: im really very sorry Shaan!! (lets her tears soak his tee)
Shaan: Khanak agar tumne ek aur baar Sorry kaha na, I make sure that, ki…(tries to come up with a punishment)I lock you up in this room…umm…yes!!
Khanak: (giggles) that should be good…
Shaan: mind you..mere saath…
Khanak: ooohhh…(clamps her mouth) that seriously puts me into a big trouble…(sounds scary)
Shaan: really now??? (he pushes her on the bed hardly, he's on top of her)
Khanak: waise iss sab ki wajah tum hi ho!! (speaks huskily)
Shaan: main kaise?? (his hands interlinks with hers)
Khanak: you've made me so sensitive…(complains)
Shaan: main?? Madam, aap pehle si hi bahut nazuk ho!!!
Khanak: nope!! (shakes her head vigorously, his weight on her increases)
In no time, his lips finds its way on to her…They start it gently, his hands now roam on her, her hands goes towards his neck, embracing it…kiss ends softly…She hugs him, he hugs her back…
About a month and a half, her exams are over long back, Aayush's comes in the way, he finishes it, both are confident that they would surely excel in it…
They have started their fun days…not leaving any chance to irritate each other, involving Shaan in the process, his entrance had also over…
When he used to sit for studying, meaning looking into previous papers…Khanak would never disturb him, she would do her work, she had joined the hospital back, since she was getting bored sitting at home…She's not a person who would just sit and wait for her results..but would use that time in spending it by useful work…
Dhruv had returned to San..once Khanak had encountered him…she did found that, Dhruv had started to irritate Shaan, though Dhruv never meant that, he was just being him, but there's a change….
One fine day, Khanak had met him…
Khanak: Dekho Dhruv, I know that im your close friend, but har baat ke liye tumhara interference… achcha nahi lagtha, Shaan is not comfortable when you're around…
Dhruv: but…
Khanak: Dhruv, you do know that I love him immensely, if you want your friend to be happy in her life, please just stay out…(she had been soft, but clear…)
Dhruv had completely understood her reference….
Next day, Dhruv had visited to Khandelwal's mansion, returned her keys, and had left…Khanak had felt sad, but this was necessary…
Another fateful day in their life…
Shaan's results had come out, before Khanak's….
He was not selected!! Khanak had been with him at that time, he had acted casually…
But it did make him upset, he had left the house, hoping to find the answer for his failure…He didn't get it though…
Khanak, on the other hand was scared, not sure, what to do…She waits for him to return…Her heart threatens to come out of the chestwall, but still she patiently waits for him…She had tried to call him, but she was not getting through, as he had switched it off long time back…
He did return, but it was late…She did see that, he was disappointed…
First she calmed herself…
Khanak: Shaan, tum agaye..(smiles) main tumhare liye dinner lati ho…(tries to go out of the room)
Shaan: nahi Khanak…I don't need…(sadness clear in his face)
He walks over and seats himself on the bed…
Khanak walks over to him and sits next to him…
