The ride to Khandelwal house was silent, as Shaan was trying to figure as to what was going, and Khanak was acting like as though she's seeing Mumbai for the first time, Aayush is half awake and half asleep, his mom's instructions not to sleep..
Now they step inside their house, but all they can see is darkness, suddenly there is a loud chatter, shouting Happy Birthday to Shaan!!
Shaan is all smiles, but actually they did shout happy birthday, but all are in a process of getting a hug from Khanak, as Khushboo has already got hold of her, Aayush is hugged by dadi.
Khushboo: oh,I missed you Khanak!!
Khanak: me too..(struggling under her grip, Shaan and Akshay chuckles seeing that)
Shaan: bhabhi aaj mera birthday hain!!
Khushboo: (let goes Khanak, but still Khushboo is still standing next to her) who hame pata hain!! Lekin humne Khanak ko zyaada miss kiya tha!!
Suddenly everyone goes quite, as to what to be done for that bitter past, which all had gone through, but for now happy days are back!! Sunil steps in closer to Khanak..
Sunil: Khanak beta promise us, agar aaj ke baad tumhe Shaan se kohi problem hui toh tum hum main se kisiko pehle approach karo gi, naaki aise stupid se step lo gi, promise us??
Khanak: sorry dad!! Agar Shaan mujhe daanta bhi toh, tabhi main aapke paas hi aaongi (hugs him)
Madhvi: haan Khanak!! Bulna mat hum sab tumhare side pe hain..(teases)
Shaan: Dad!! Mom!! (before he could continue)
They are disturbed by Aayush, as he walks in with Harilal..
Aayush: cake time!!! (announces loudly)
All of them laughs at that moment, but moves towards him. Khanak exactly knew that Shaan would never love a party with lots of people, it was always him and his family, now also it's the same, but she was the extra addition in his part of life..and they were perfect for each other, she would crave for love and he would shower it for her without any obligations, she filled his life with colours and he didn't ask for anything in life but just her in his life!!
After the family union party, after all the cake cutting, after all the teasing at dinner, after all the hugs that were showered on her, after Aayush falling asleep on the couch itself on his mamma's lap, while the elders were having fun, after Shaan carried him to his room, while Khanak tagged on, both of them making the kid nicely sleep on to his bed, while both kissed him a goodnight on his forehead, after walking hand in hand into their room, she blushing he teasing'
And now they are in their room, after a long time!! Khanak takes in the ambiance of their room, which remained the same even though she was away from it, while Shaan closes the door and leans on it and waits for her to return back to him which she does, he's surprised that she leans on his chest directly without any speaking or teasing..He wraps his arms around hers, while hers, one is resting on his chest other one is clutching his shirt at his waiste, her eys closed, his eyes opened, he sighs deeply..
Khanak: Shaan!! (her eyes still closed)
Shaan: hmm..? (releases herself from him, as he stares at her, she finally opens her eyes, she's nervous and edgy)
Shaan without wasting much time, he grins biting his lower lip, bends down a little and picks her up in his arms, at first she gasps aloud, and when the realization sets in, she giigles and hides in his neck and he carries her to the bed, making her lay down and he hovers over her slowly'..
Shaan bites on her chubby flaps of skin on her face, she yells in pain'
Khanak: Shaan what are you doing???
Shaan: punishment for you, for being away from me for 2 whole months and yes for the last night's stunt'(busy on her face)
They are in their room, in their bed; Shaan is on top of her, his hands working on unbuttoning of her shirt'looks at her face, for a while disturbed, looks down at the job his hands are doing'.
Khanak: (feels sorry for the stunt she did before 2 months, cups his face, he looks up at her'
Khanak: im really sorry Shaan'I didn't have any idea what I was doing'im sorry Shaan'i'(chokes)
Shaan: im sorry too'(hugs her, she rests her head on his chest)
He moves away gently, looks into her eyes, even she does, both are apologetic'
He kisses her on her forehead, she closes her eyes'his one hand is combing her hair and another is cupping her face'He moves down, places another kiss on her nose, her lips curve into a smile'
He moves down, she opens her eyes, he stares at her lips, a bad desire of capturing it in his rakes through his mind, he just wants too swoosh everything from that luscious lips, he just wants everything'
Khanak makes it more easier, she makes him lie down and now she's on top of him, her hair crowds, his one hand holds her waiste, another hand clears the hair around her face, she bends down and licks his lower lip, he just closes his eyes and revel himself in her touch, she just plays around, finally his anticipation ends when he finds her lips firmly on him'
He makes her lie down, he hovers her, he deepens the kiss'her hands are at his back, his hands on her hair'
After some time, as they lay down, she's settled in between his left arm and his body'they are staring at the ceiling'
Khanak: (back to herself, teases him) waise maine kal raat ko kya kiya???
Shaan: achcha kuch nahi kiya..?? (looks down at her, she looks up at him)
Khanak: haan'.(confident) Aayush ko mere saath sona tha..toh usme mere kya galathi hain..(makes an innocent face)
Shaan: achcha'??
Khanak: haan'waise bhi maine Aayush ko bahut zyaada hurt kiya hain, so I need to tell him that I would never live him'dekhlena next time, Aayush ko bhi mere saath leke chali jaaongi'(giggles)
Shaan's expression turn to fierce, he hugs her tightly'
Shaan: promise karo ki tum kabhi aisa nahi sochogi'promise karo tum mera wait karogi'promise me that even in your dreams, you won't even think of leaving me alone once again'promise me'(not allowed to complete)
Khanak: I promise!! I promise to not to do something which hurts you'(speaks into his neck)
He's relieved, slowly releases her, but still both stay in the hug'
Shaan: waise'joh Aayush ne maanga, uske bare main kya socha'(looks straightly at her, his eyes glittering, he's grinning)
Khanak is shy, she bites her lower lip, lowers her head'as the implication settles in'
Shaan: isme sharmanewali baath kaunsi hain'(grins)
Khanak juat hides in his chest, he wraps his arm around her..
Her expression turns to a serious one, she moves out gently, looks into his eyes, he looks suspiciously at her'
Khanak: I fear..that'
Shaan: that Aayush will feel left alone??
She just nods, she loves it when he answers her question in the most sweetest way'
Shaan: Khanak , u just know that it won't be happening like that'Aayush is our first kid and will remain forever'
Her lips curve to a big smile, she just heard want she wanted to hear'she hugs him, he hugs her back'
Shaan: toh phir'.(his voice turns to more huskier)
She snuggles more to his chest, to hide herself from him'.
Shantanu and Khanak Khandelwal make love after 2 months'.
Morning rays seep in to their room, disturbing the nice sleep she was taking, as she had slept just few hours before, while he just layed down next to her staring at her sleeping form..
He has lost all his patience, he tries to tease her with her own hairs, by drawinf circles on her cheek, she wriggles and rubs her cheek, while he chuckles, she lays on her belly and turns away from him..
Shaan: Khanak utho!!
Khanak: hmm..(still lost in her wonderland)

Shaan: nahi abhi utho!! (sits up on the bed)
She opens her eyes in frustration..
Khanak: kyun?? Abhi toh sirf (peers through half opened eyes, sees the clock) 6 baj raha hain!! (covers herself completely with blanket)
Shaan: nahi abhi utho!! Mujhe tumse baat karni hain!! (orders and pulls her by her elbow)
She makes a crying face and finally obeys sits on the bed, rubbing her eyes, but still feeling sleepy..He's just next to her..
Shaan: so what have you decided?? (his one arm wound around her shoulder)
Khanak: (leans on his shoulder) kis bare main??
Shaan: tumhare future ke bare main..
Khanak: future?? Humne kal raat ko hi decide kiya tha, that we'll be having baby..(looks into his eyes, her eyes glittering with mischief) itni jaldi bhool gaye?? (with an innocent expression)
Shaan: hogaya tumhara!! Im serious Khanak..
Khanak: ok sorry!! I'll be leading the camps which will be taking for students, you know the camps held for students, I'll be guiding that for now, baad main, clinic join karungi, and then tumhari tarah attending ka kaam karungi..mind you I'll join clinic after our baby is about 4 or 5 years..teek hain na?? ya phir shayad mujhe aur time dena chayiye?? (thinking)
Shaan: (smiles, she was very much focused in her life, though she had a big distraction, that's him in her life, still her life was organized) Its perfect Mrs. Khandelwal!! (he leans forward, and both steals a smooch)
Khanak: abb tumhari baari hain!! (as she leans on his chest)
Shaan: meri kya?? (She releases her self and looks up into his eyes)
Khanak: hello..shayad aap bhool rahe hain, aapka fellowship?? Uska kya hua??
Shaan: well im not sure Khanak..(as he pulls her into his chest)
Khanak: kyun?? (sad)
Shaan: issliye shayad..im not sure about the field..
Khanak: but..you wanted onco right??
Shaan: haan but..
Khanak: no buts Shaan!! Trust me you're perfect for it!!
Shaan: Khanak you exactly know that, if at all I have to take that has my field then I must be devoting more time towards it and I must be going in for all the clinic trials and everything..Now, I don't want to miss any chance to be with you..my fellowship can wait!! (decides)
Khanak: but..
Shaan: Khanak! Agar tum aise hi but..karti rahungi na, jo hamra laadla beta doosre kamre main so raha hain who jaag jayega, and im sure you don't want him to look at us in this stage..(makes her blush)
Shaan:toh chalein?? (enjoying himself completely)
Khanak: (looks into his eyes) kaha??
Shaan: kaha?? Abhi batatau..
He gets down from the bed, bends down and lifts her up from the bed as he carries her to the shower with her protests and closes the door behind them..)
