Friends Please dont get bored that I am giving detailed insight of supporting characters too.
I feel all supporting characters are important for the clear understanding of the story as it
progresses.
that is why I have given detailed description of them .

*********Shanak Meet *******
Khanak stranded :
Khanak got into a taxi and was super excited to meet her cousins..
she had got some goodies(/gifts/eatables etc) for them ., and wanted to reach as early as
possible..
But half way down... .she saw that there was heavy police patroling around .
..They were stopping all vehicles and those passengers travelling in vehicles without proper
documents were being asked to get down.
she soon learnt that it was due to the bomb scare in mumbai and that there was some
anonymous information that the possible terrorists after planting it ...might be on their way to
Lonavla .
The bomb scare at mumbai *airport* actually turned to a be an* hoax* .
But the police department did not know if the anonymous information reg. terrorists was also an
hoax one ., and not knowing true or false clearly ., they did not want to take chances.
So they were checking all the vehicles .
Especially private taxies and public transport buses/ lorries etc .,were thoroughly searched and If
any of the driver was found not having sufficient documents he was mercilessly retained till
proper satisfying documents were produced .
Khanak was travelling in a private taxi and the police were not satisfied with the supportive
documents produced by the driver to show the ownership of the taxi .
so they decided to retain him for questioning..
Khanak was asked to get out of it and was asked look for other own options of travel or call
some one so that she could be taken back ..
Khanak did to want to go back to mumbai.
.She knew if she called her father /or nitin they would worry a lot more than necessary and would
definitley ask her to get back to Mumbai.
,and they themsleves would be right there in a couple fo hours to pick her up .But she wanted to
go to Lonavla .,to help her Bua / uncle and also spend quality time with cousins .
At the same time she did not want to mentally trouble her uncle and bua too by giving this news
that she was stranded midway .
.So she decided to look for alternative** safe **options of travel .
She had befriended a female police by then .,and was killing time talking with the police woman
talking occasionally and at the same time looking for other** Safe** options of travel .
Shantanus Car:
khanak was standing for quite some time.
.She had asked a few family people travelling to Lonavla to allow her to *get into their vehicle * .
.The police woman too tried to find khanak a **safe vehicle ** ., .,
But she could not do much ...since she could not force any one to take **khanak in ** herself
being ***on duty**.
.Also she did not want to send khanak with some one whom she felt was not trust worthy.
. Khanak was also looking for options of travel which were*** safe and trustworthy** according to
her intellect .
none of the family vehicles were willing to take risk by taking anonymous co-passenger and get
into trouble later ., at such a dificult situation.
khanak had her identify card of the college and so police were satisfied with her identity and left
her .
But these family people were still cautious ..inspite of seeing her idenity card having all the
details.
In few cases Khanak was not comfortable with the sort of the persons that they appeared to be.,
so she did not approach them and ask for a * Lift *.
After some time khanak s saw a brand new ** Mercedes benz** driven by a fair handsome young
man waiting at the police check post .
She was first reluctant to ask** for a lift*** since he seemed to be travelling alone.
he was standing at the check post for the checking formalities and she noticed no one else was
there with him..
but he appeared like a gentle man to her ..
She asked the police woman if she could ask him*for a lift* .
Police woman too nodded positively .
khanak thought * ***why dont I make a try.,Never mind if he refuses., the guy seems to be a gentle man *****
and soon after she saw that shantanu cleared the formalties and was above to leave.
She went running to him ..taking her female police friend along .
*hello Mr.can u please offer me a lift to Lonavla... If u dont mind*
Shantanu was totally surprised at this request...he had never seen such anonymous requests
abroad .
Majority of the foreigners never try to get into vehicles of unknown people .
.He just looked at her **staring in anger** ..not knowing what to reply.
He looked at her..while looking closely she seemed to be a girl in her ** twenties*
*But she could be easily mistaken for a teenager too., because she was petite .
She was carrying a Travellers suitcase on one hand and In another hand ther were some
shoppers bags..A canon camera carefully put inside a **shoulder bag** was put across her
chest ..
and she was dressed in full hand cotton pink Kurti and blue jeans.,
her hair was tied up with a band .
she had small ear drops and her front hair was flying ..she had no accesories like watch ..and
was wearing a pair of comfort slippers .
she was dusky complexioned and was not so tall..
she was looking tired perhaps since she was standing for quite some time .
**** This was what shantanu thought of upon seeing khanak for the first time.***
he also thought ***** For any one she could pass of easily as a normal school final or college girl ..*******
he was really surprised at this sort of request for a *lift* from a stranger ..which he never ever had
heard of before since he hd stayed all along outside India .. .
he answered in a shaking voice * ji... I dont get it...*
Khanak said in a clear voice .
* sir., can u please offer me a lift to Lonavla. i am in urgency.., I know u must be doubting me.
I have my identification card.,
..if u feel satisfied... u can take me along.u seem to be a gentle man(she was putting ice
knowingly)
that is why i asked u .
please dont mistake me****
Shantanu looked at her college identity card., it clearly had all details about her..
He did not want to offer lift to anyone at this sort of circumstances.
But he saw the documents., ther was nothing to doubt .,and also the female police who was
standing close to khanak for all this time silently when khanak was talking to shantanu
came near and finally said *to him ,
**sir ., This girl needs to go to lonavla urgently . The driver fo eeh taxi in which she came has been retained..
. She has been trying hard for long ., to get a vehicle.,
but donot know why people are not willing to help her .,and some people are not trust worthy .
U seemed to be a genuinine person( female police putting ice on shantanu)
Please do help her if u can ., I too have verified her credentials .,so u need not worry * .
Shantanu understood that the female police was indireclty coaxing him to take her in his car.
.he thought *o.k it is after all an hours drive., let me do it *
.But he was irritated at his privacy getting disturbed .
and merely with a dry smile said to Khanak* get in* and turned to the female police and politely
said ***just because u have assured me that u have verified ****
.The female police smiled at shantanu and said * dont worry* and asked khanak* to get in *immediately.
khanak thanked her profusely/ bid her* bye* and with her hands full of luggage moved towards
the car .
Little did shantanu know then... that this petite /dusky/normal simple looking girl was to
become some one inseparable from his life for ever ..as time passed .
