Part 6 - Taxi!, uugh TAXI! Khanak hollered while waving her hands, god stupid Australia, koi bhi taxi nahin hai! Shaan and Khanak were trying for the past ten minutes to find a taxi
Just than a taxi pulled up to them
Oye Pajji! Lift chahiye? The taxi driver said enthusiastically.
Yes! Shaan exclaimed while he held the door out for Khanak
Aap Hindustani ho? Khanak asked.
Haan jee, Punjab se, aur aap? He asked.
Delhi, aur yeh Mumbai se hain, Khanak said pointing at Shaan
Oh ji, very good. Kaha jaana hain? He asked.
Jee, Marriot Hotel, Khanak answered. The car ride was filled with silence
*Khanak thinking to herself* God, this Shaan is the King of awkward silences, and I thought he was opening up, Khanak pouted.
Toh aap dono ki Shaadi kab hui? The taxi driver asked.
Kya?! Shaan and Khanak both looked bewildered.
Hum Shaadi shuda nahi hain, Shaan said.
Ohh, toh phir sagaai kab hui? He asked.
Nahi, hum yahaan apni dost ki shaadi ke liye aaye hain, Khanak answered.
Accha, ab samaj mein aaya. Oh worry not ji, shadi hui nahi to ho jaayega! Kyun! the taxi driver smirked.
Kaisa aadmi hain yaar? Shaan thought to himself while Khanak ignored the comment. The taxi driver turned on the radio,

Hindi gaana?! Australia mein? Khanak asked surprised.
Jee Haan, yahan Australia mein Hum Desi Radio hain, bohot bariya radio! He chuckled. Khanak noticed that Shaan was singing along to the song
Tum gaate ho? Khanak asked.
Haan, college mein thodasa gaata tha, Shaan answered remembering all the fun he had in college. Guitar bhi bajati thi main, he said.
Toh abb kyun rokh dee? Khanak asked.
Woh, pata nahi… I just don't do it anymore… He answered. Shaan had grown quiet again
Well, don't stop singing, now! You sing well! Khanak said.
Shaan smiled and hummed along, when they had reached her hotel
Thank you bhaisaab, kitne hui? Khanak asked.
Khanak, don't worry I got it, Shaan said.
What? No it's fine no formalities dude, Khanak said.
No, he's got to drop me off too, it's okay, Shaan said.
Well erm, okay… Again thanks for the ride, see you later Shaan! Khanak said.
Bye Khanak, Shaan waved goodbye.
Abb kahan jaana hai, paaji? The driver asked.
Hilton Hotel, he answered.
They drove around, while Shaan thought to himself
*Flashback to Shaan's music festival in college*
Shaan, Shaan, Shaan the crowd roared! Ab hamare college ki Jaan, Shaantanu Khandelwal! The MC exclaimed. Hua Hain Maan Bawara started to play in the back. Shaan walks on stage "Dil ka maamla hai, dil ne suljhaaya hain, kuch pyaar vyaar isne, tere aas paas paya hain…." The crowd yells, and cheers Shaan on, Arjun, Shashank and Abeer are singing along as Shaan calls them on stage "Hua hain maan bawara, bawara, maan bawara… aa pyaar mein… *Shaan winks at Natasha, who is standing in the front of the crowd cheering him on" *End of Flashback* Shaan jerks back to reality, his eyes are moist with tears at the sudden memory of Natasha, when the taxi stops in front of the hotel
Oye, paaji, hum pochgaye hain, The taxi driver said.
Hmm *Shaan wipes away his tears* Kitne huay? He asked.
At the hotel room
*Shaan walks into the room* Oye Khotey! Kidhar thay yaar, do you know what time it is, you had Shashank and me worried! Arjun exclaimed.
Shaan mumbled something, guys I'm tired, I'm going to bed, Goodnight, he said.
What's his problem? Shashank asked.
I don't know, *Arjun shrugged and yawned* I'm going to bed too, kal subha 8 baje uthna hai, remember, He said.
8 baje!! You expect me to wake up at 8! Who wakes up at that ungodly hour? Uugh vacation pe aaya hoon, aur itna subha uthna parega! Shashank whined.
*Arjun smirked* And you want to own a business one day? When will office hours start, noon? Arjun laughed.
What's that supposed to mean?! Shashank asked.
Kuch nahi beta, sonay jaa, Arjun said jokingly.
Breakfast, at the house Abeer and Leher rented
Where were you guys yesterday, you totally ditched Shaan and me, Khanak said
Mat pooch yaar, uss idiot Arjun ne poora raat kharab kar diya! He said Bollywood films are stupid and impractical! Arohi exclaimed.
Oh really, I've never heard anyone say that before, Khanak said sarcastically
I know! Arohi yelled.
*Khanak shook her head*, Preeti why did you ditch us, you never ditch anyone! Khanak said.
Sorry Khanak, Shashank and I went out for a walk just to talk to each other and stuff, you know it's been a while since we've seen each other, Preeti said.
Ohh I gotcha, Khanak winked at Preeti.
And I was attacked by the family *Leher yawns* god marriages are so stressful, by the way Khanak everyone loved the lehenga you designed for me, it really was beautiful, you're an incredible friend, Leher said.
Aww, okay I forgive you all! By the way did you guys know that Shaan sings? Khanak said.
*The guys walk in* Sings? Duude he was our college's personal rockstar! Shashank exclaimed.
Kya awaaz thi, Kya style tha…, Arjun said using flamboyant gestures.
Oye, nautanki bandh kar! Abeer laughed.
But seriously man, you were amazing, spectacular, mindblowing… Shashank said.
Cut it out guys! Shaan laughed. Everyone heads to the backyard for breakfast , Abeer pulls up a chair next to Leher
Shaan, you should sing at our sangeet! Leher said.
Oh I don't know… I don't sing much anymore, Shaan said Abeer looked at Leher and Leher quickly said…
I understand, Leher smiled.
Well, looks like we're all done eating, Leher why don't we give them a tour of the house? Abeer said. Everyone gets up for the tour, Arjun and Arohi ignore each other, making an effort to look at opposite directions, Shashank and Preeti walk close by while Shaan, Khanak, Abeer and Leher walk together
And from here *Abeer points at the large glass doors* you could see the ocean!
*The gang finishes up the tour* Arohi squeals, God the architecture of this house is amazing! Just like the one in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara! She said.
*Arjun rolled his eyes* I like the house too, especially the game room! He said.
I know, we're gonna have loads of fun there! Abeer exclaimed.
*Preeti thinks to herself* Boys! Everyone heads to the living room
So there are two floors, and four bedrooms, so they'll be two to a room, Girls on the top floor, and guys on the first floor, Leher said. Sound good?
And Shaan, we can room together, we have things to catch up on anyway, Abeer said while Shaan nodded.
Oh stop acting, you know you want to be with Leher Bhabhi! Shashank joked.
Shashank, stop joking! Preeti said.
Abeer, do you think it's smart having these two sharing a room? Shaan asked while pointing at Shashank and Arjun.
What nonsense yaar, we love each other, we're homies, we're down for life, Kyun Shanky? Arjun grinned.
*Shashank pointed at Arjun* Bilqul! I love this man! Shaan tu apni aap ki chinta kar, we're gonna be fineee, he said.
*Everyone laughed* Shaan whispered to Abeer, dekh te hain kitni der ek doosre ke saath shaanti se reh paayega.
Toh phir, Leher I guess I'll be with you, and Khanak you can be with Arohi, Preeti said.
Cool! Arohi exclaimed.
*Khanak was texting her fiance, and perks up as she hears her name* Wait, sorry, what just happened? Khanak asked.
We're gonna be roomies! Arohi exclaimed.
Oh god no! Yaar, yeh museebat meri sar pe kaise aagayi. Dimaagh khayegi apni filmi baton se! Khanak said.
*Arohi looks fakely hurt* Oh come on, you know you love meee, Arohi said.
*Khanak laughed* Yeah I do, but irritate me and I'm throwing your stuff out of that ginormous glass door we just saw! Khanak said.
Everyone laughed, and relaxed in the living room
