Yeah, what else would I be talking about, Japanese films? Arohi mumbled.
Well I don't watch Bollywood, mere pass un rubbish films ke liye time nahin hai, they're so unrealistic!
Rubbish?! Jab chotte thay tab toh hindi films dekh kar bara hua tha, aur aab bare hokar yeh rubbish hogaya? And what do you mean about unrealistic?! Is love not a real emotion? Are family values not real? Arohi asked.
God listen to this girl talk *Arjun mumbled*, yeah unrealistic! Stupid waste of time, fruity heroes with stupid girls looking for their "raj kumar", bursting into songs at random moments and of course EVERYONE in the background knows all the steps- what shit! Bollywood movies are stupid and impractical! Arjun exclaimed.
Stupid?! How dare you?! *Arohi huffed, while Arjun pretended to look scared* Fine then what do YOU think an intelligent film is? Arohi asked.
Inception, duhh? Brilliant movie, it really made you think, Arjun said.
Inception? I fell asleep watching that movie, koi bhi ganna nahi tha, everything looked so dark, and it's so confusing, a dream within a dream, within a dream'.. Arohi trailed off while making her crazy hand movements Hello?? *Arjun waved his hands in front of Arohi*
*Arohi snapped back up* So Inception huh, that's all you can give me? Please, my Bollywood movies, are so much better than your stupid "practical" Hollywood movies! Arohi said and stalked off.
GOD, this girl was cute' that is until she opened her mouth. What a waste of time, Arjun thought.
Pretty Malhotra!! Shashank called across the room.
Shashank! Stop calling me that! Preeti said.
I can't help it, you look stunning tonight! Haaye Bhagwan! Kis acche cheez kiya tha maine, jo tu ne mujhe itni hot magaytar diya hai! Shashank exclaimed.
*Preeti looked mortified while Shashank chuckled* You look so cute, when you blush! Shashank teased. Shashank gave Preeti a hug, when Leher's parents walked up to them
Preeti beta, kaise ho? Leher's mom asked.
Main theek hoon auntie, Leher aaj kitni sundar lagrahehi na? Preeti asked.
Kya bataoon beta, hum kitne khush hai Abeer aur uski family ko leke, Abeer itna accha larka hain! Leher's dad said.
Aur Leher, yeh Shashank hai na? Leher's mom asked.
Jee auntie, yeh Shashank hai, meri mangaytar aur ittefaq se Abeer ka dost bhi, Preeti said.
Namaste, Shashank said.
Pleasure to meet you! Abeer said you guys are his best friends, you guys were really close in college na? Leher's dad asked.
Oh yeah! In fact our friendship got us through college, Shashank said.
*Leher's dad chuckled* Haha, good times those college days, he said.
Tum dono bohot acche lagte ho. Preeti, mujhe tumhari ma ki phone number dena, who puraani wali abhi bhi hai mere paas. Tumhare engagement par mein aana chatha tha, lekin beta, ish shaadi mein kitna kaam tha, tum to jaante ho, Leher's mom said.
Koi baat nahi auntie, bohot chhota affair tha, Preeti said.
Haan, lekin beta tumhare shaadi to ekdum dhoom dhaam hona chahiye! Leher's dad said.
Waise beta, plan kab hai shaadi karne? Leher's mom asked.
Socha nahi uncle, Shashank said
while Preeti's answer was
kuch hi din mein socha hai.
*Shashank and Preeti looked at each other confused*
Who' hum.., soch rahee hai, date final nahi hai'. Preeti trailed off. Just then someone called Lehar's parents for photos
Beta, hum aate hain, Leher's mom said.
Preeti' What was that?! Socha hai?? Hum ne kab socha tha.. abhi abhi to sagaai hui hai yaar, Shashank freaked out.
Shashank it's been a couple months already, I mean we are going to get married na? Preeti asked.
Of course, but, not now, we're still young, I don't want to be like those boring old couples, who only work, and don't do anything else, Shashank said.
But Shashank' Preeti whispered.
*Shashank held Preeti by the shoulders* Preeti, I DO want to get married to you, what idiot wouldn't. But now's too early, I still have to make it big in the company, and we need to find a house, god it's too stressful, Shashank complained. I'll go get us some drinks, just thinking of all this makes me hot.
Shashank went to get drinks, while Preeti looked slightly upset*
Heyy, great dancing out there! Khanak said, as she walked up to Shaan
Thanks! That was soo much fun! Shaan beamed. It's been a while since all of us got together and partied, you weren't that bad yourself, Shaan said.
*Khanak smiled, the couple shared a moment of silence* Well I guess everyone is paired up beside us, Khanak said while pointing at all of the other couples.
Umm excuse me? Shaan asked.
Oh calm down not that paired up! I mean they're all talking to each other, so that just leaves us, Khanak said.
Ohh, right, Shaan said.
Errm, sooo, you said you guys hung a lot in college right? What was that like? Khanak asked.
Yeah we did loads of stuff. There was a nightclub a couple of blocks away from our campus, so we often chilled there on the weekends, Shaan said.
Sounds fun! Khanak said.
Mmhmm, and we would have random dance parties and stuff like that. I love music! Shaan said.
*Khanak noticed how Shaan's face glowed up when he talked about his days in college*
He's finally opening up, good job Khanak!, Khanak thought. The two continued to talk about their college days, and didn't realize how time flew by
Uhh Shaan, where did everyone else go? Khanak said, suddenly looking up.
Hmm *Shaan looked up* Whoa, where'd they go? Shaan asked.
Yeah, that's what I just said, fool, Khanak commented. Preeti, Shashank, Arjun and Arohi had left without telling them anything
Far away they could see Leher and Abeer with their families going up to the hotel, where they were going to stay for the night
Ermm, well I guess we're gonna have to catch a taxi! Khanak exclaimed.
Wait, What? Shaan asked, confused on what was happening in his life... Part 6 may take awhile to post! 😊
