Conclusion of Umass Dartmouth Tour

5: 40 PM

They had visited the Science and Engg building after a game of fooz ball and a half a game of basket ball before the out of state kids took over the courts.

He had introduced her to the admins and who ever from the faculty was available, her had shown her the Lab, the "Sustainable Building Technology Lab" where some really path breaking research was being conducted on the fiture of how homes were built around the world. The tools, the resources the access to technology was stunning in her opinion

She was envious for a while, she couldn't really speak. She would have loved an opportunity to study overseas, "some dreams will always remain a dream"

"Atleast she knew what a US University looke dlike"

"She could now tell batchmates, if ever she saw any about how Civil Engg is taught in America"

She does some mental math to understand what it would have costed, wants to ask him but refrains

He is on the phone with Arjun, he leaves his camera bag with her, she takes the student hand book out and reads the "Tuition 2012" page, a staggering $ 40-50k a year for the Graduate Program

"Aada kahan se laate itne rupay?"

"Abhi tak mere SPA ka loan chal raha tha"

He returns to see her focussing on the fee page, but does not say a word, takes her around the class rooms, takes yet another dozen or two of pictures in his frequently scheduled class rooms and the study area.

The walk out wordlessly, hand in hand

Lets her be, they walk towards the Claire Carney Library as the last stop, he lets her wander inside, she spends almost an hour looking up articles, and journals and feasting on the databases, he wants to go grab some coffee but she wouldn't leave.

When they step out its past, 5 PM

Shaan: race you to the Student Center!

He starts to run, she is pretty quick on her two tiny feet, she manages to get to the student center barely a step behind him. He will never tell her he ran at half his speed!

She sits on the steps and laughs, and breathes hard

He is standing, looking down at her, hands in pocket. The evening sun shines over them. She is hugging her knees, he is bending over her face. To an onlooker it was the most natural yet classic pose of two people ... quixotic!

"With you, I feel like a child"! She declared, breathless....😳

"With you I feel like an adult!" He responded indulgently😳
