Krishna,
Welcome back🤗

Missed the pink font very much😊

What an epi, eh! I am also unable to gather my thoughts clearly... will have to do later. Plus my laptop is acting up!

Everyone did well, but KT, Yashu and Ali ji's performances touched me the most!

It does appear to be a goodbye to the Khandelwals... but i also hope it s temporary. Cant imagine RBO without them!

Yashu looked amazing as a bride👏! Red colour goes so well on her. She is so cute and pretty!

KT- what to say...he is pushing boundaries, which is what a real actor should do👏. Hope he does better and better. I have always felt that KT excels in drama. Because he has a very expressive face, and eyes, and voice.

Ali ji, lajawaab👏

On a scale of 1-10, i would give a 9.

Playing the sad version of RBO song in the end- masterstroke.

RBO is clearly going to take a new direction from now onwards. Hope it all goes wll... Good luck ShaNak, and good luck RBO team👏😊

Good neend all!

Episode Analysis Dated 04th June 2011:
What a way ti start the epi...with the Title song...sigh...it was indeed great hearing that Song again...AND it was great in the sense too as it was a beginning of a new Journey again for Khanak and ofcourse Shantanu.
From the First scene..which was the Realisation by Shaan of his self worth to his decison to make something of himself without his bro and parents help to his tal to his brother and father to the whole Re-marriage between Khanak and him and the retaking of the vows and the love and meaning and the support and the beginning of thier new life together in the true sense to the emotional good bye to the family.
Shaan and Akkis talk beautiful, just like one talks to ones bro one truly loves. Sunil and Shaan father son talk so real and emotional, a true talk between parents a heart to heart.
What I loved about the whole scene from Shaan retrospection and self realisation to his talk to his bro and father ...was there was no hatered, towards ones father, brother or oneself..it was just realisation of what they had done all through the years for him and what he had not done.
Loved the family talk discussing Shaan's decison to leave and thier understanding and support of it all...truly was emotional scene the end with them biding adios to their family their loved ones.paretns to their son , son to his parents, sibling to one another, to DIL ot her IL's to SIL's to each other and BIL...and to make it more emotional then it already was we had the sad version of the song ...playing...sigh...so apt ..
The scenes were well executed with fantastically real dialogues and acting...no OTT Melodrama in the writing nor in acting.
Loved the whole suprise for Shaan planned by his wife Khanak...loved the whole Re-marriage bit so well put by Khanak of why she wanted to get married again today as the first time they married was under duress , under pressure without being willing...but today they know each other, their strenghts, weaknesses, likes , dislikes, habits etc...and they are together knowing all this about each other thus they got remarried again with hte fanfare of pandits, guest or family..a renewal of vows just for each other.
Loved them saying out loud what they felt and ther promises they made to one another... a Beginning in the true sense of life after marriage...
This truly is the beginning of a new Journey for both Shanak...how they cope in the world without the protection and support of loved ones...How they both cope and help each other in this new journey or phase of their life, and how they help each other in discovering their true and better selves.
Hope that we haven't bid farwell to the K-Family for ever...but only for a short duration as RBO is Shanak along with K-Family.
Can't wait for Monday...
God will miss the K-family and House to bits...

Episode Analysis, dated 4th June 2011
Ok! Have tried to collect myself together, after my lacrimal glands went into overdrive...
What an episode, really...what an episode!!! ⭐️👏⭐️👏
One that will stay with us, for a really long time...
Take a bow, CVs, cast, and crew of "Rang Badalti Odhani"...today was a LANDMARK moment for RBO and us, Odhanians!
You guys absolutely deserve nothing short of a STANDING OVATION!!! Job truly well done, today!! 👏👏👏
Right from the title song that played out at 8 PM IST...to the last freeze shot on the Khandelwal parivaar...the episode had us completely spellbound!!!
Shaan was legendary today...both literally and figuratively!
Shantanu Khandelwal came full circle, in a sense today...and what a way to have done so...from a man so irresponsible, to be the cause of a life-changing accident...to have the strength of character to be able to so single-mindedly trace his identity...despite the pain...despite the complete devastation...
Shantanu Khandelwal, the 'MAN' has arrived!!!! ⭐️
In an episode, which was near-flawless, the 'golden' moments that shall remain with me forever are...
Khanak giving Shaan the ULTIMATE testament of what Shantanu Khandelwal stands for...
A man, whose goodness is amongst his greatest virtues...the source of such unadulterated happiness and bliss in her life...her PRIDE, really!!
And, Shaan...searching desperately...just searching...for his self-worth...in the eyes of the person who is his greatest worth!!!
What a poignant moment that was!! ⭐️
Understated, yet beautiful...Yashu and KT captured the essence bang-on!! 👏
Loved the steely resolve in Shaan's eyes when Khanak's bai calls and enquires about the 'Rackstar'!
Perfectly pitched in a moment that could have so easily gone OTT!!
LOVED...absolutely loved the Akshay- Shaan conversation...
Shaan...with the hurt largely visible...but the beauty of the moment...the hurt directed at himself, for letting himself, and thereby the family down!!
What a welcome change that is from the Shaan whose trademark was 'passing the buck'!...what a welcome change, really!! 👏
And, the proverbial icing...the final "I...I love you" moment by Shaan!!! SPLENDID!!! ⭐️
No frills, no frounces...just so typically 'Shantanu Khandelwal'!!!
The Sunil-Shaan confrontation turned heart-to-heart...
This scene was something else...words fail me here as all my attempts will never justify the timelesness of this scene...
In simple words, the scene is truly an all-time 'Hall Of Fame' scene, IMO!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Shaan with his "Aap jeete...main haara!!"...a dialogue so cliched...yet enacted here in the most non-cliched manner possible...with so much pain and pathos!! 👏
The whole "Let me go, Dad...let me!"..."I need to...I really do!"..."This is something I just have to do to vindicate myself"..."This time, let me go out there alone...because in my victory, shall be yours!!" bit...
The completely overwhelmed son juxtaposed against an absolutely determined youngster, searching desperately for his sense of self-worth...
This was KT at his SUPERLATIVE best in his RBO journey, thus far!! ⭐️
Aliji proved his sheer CLASS, yet again!! The shock...the sense of complete disbelief...a helpless father still trying desperately to 'be there'...a father completely broken...a father who despite his sense of loss, knows how important it is to let go...
The final 'father-son moment'...Aliji was sheer BRILLIANCE!! ⭐️
And, KT with Shaan clutching on to his father's kurta as if for dear life, matched up in equal measure, too!! 👏
The remarriage sequence...
The significance of this moment lay for me in the fact that it was set in the light of the original RBO track with Sooraj and the previous mileu playing out at the beginning of the epi...
Set against that background, the remarriage indeed marked a new beginning...
And, to add to that, Yashu looked like a million bucks!! 😃
The final adieu...
What an emotional moment that was!!
The importance of the mother played out beautifully, but with complete subtlety...
One could actually feel the pain that each one of them was going through...each one of the Khandelwlas trying desperately to 'hold on'...but the beauty of the moment...giving in to the 'bigger picture' despite their own, individual miserable states!
The catharsis of a lifetime...
Began for me the moment, Shaan hugged Akshay!! Superbly, done that!! ⭐️
The tears...screamed REAL!!
And the final crescendo...as ShaNak exit out of K mansion...a PERFECT amalgamation of performance, script, screenplay, and the BG score!! ⭐️
As Shaan and Khanak went down memory lane...capturing in their hearts a beautiful journey called "The Khandelwals"...the sad version of the RBO track playing out and ShaNak's completely distraught state...it was a statement of not just ShaNak's bleeding hearts, but of the Khandelwals' too...
In conclusion, what an episode...'maha' in every sense of the term!!
ShaNak have embarked on a new journey...
Seems like the Khandelwals' will remain with them in spirit, for the time being...
Hope to see them back soon...'cos the 'coming of age' needs somebody to come back to...
Amen to that!!

4th June 2011 - Maha Episode

Truly a Maha Episode in every sense from the beginning to the end.

Star of the day is Shantanu Khandelwal ,KT.⭐️

What a growth he has shown as an actor. 👏👏👏

The Bedroom Scene :

He wants to find his identity and the only person who can help him is his wife and she is the anchor of his life.

KT and YM excelled in that scene.

Father -Son Confrontation

Show stealer. Ali ji and KT - Brilliant!

It looked so real.

As a Father he wants his son to have an identity of his own in this world and at the same time he doesn't want to leave his son alone in the world. Ali Raza is brilliant in that scene.
⭐️

Again KT - What to say !

When he is saying 'Please let me go! Will you" to his father ,the expressions , voice everything Bang On!

Shantanu - Khanak marriage

This is the real marriage for them .

A real marriage is not marrying a perfect one but becoming perfect for each other.

They are perfect for each other now in every sense. Aren't they?

YM looked beautiful.

The dialog 'Now I know you are my today and tomorrow' - Perfect.

What a journey for both of them!

Akshay and Shaan phone talk

Loved it. Shaan saying 'I Love You' to his brother - Brilliant

Rushad and KT are brilliant in that scene.

KFamily

Choked up after watching the scene.

I was feeling their pain. I just want to go there and want to hug everybody and tell them everything will be alright.

The Final moment

All the Khandelwals with the sad version of RBO song playing - ⭐️

I hope it is a temporary farewell to the KFamily. Want to see them in Future.

A new beginning for SHANAK

A new journey with a new hope.!

A very special thanks to the entire RBO Team.

You are absolutely Brilliant!👏👏👏

I wasn't going to do my usual write-up for fear that my words wouldn't do justice to what we were shown tonight, but i couldn't let this opportunity pass to convey what an amazing job the entire RBO team did! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

So here goes my take on the episode that was 'maha' in every sense of the word...
I loved that they showed the old picturisation on the title track... in those 20-30 seconds i saw Shanak's entire journey flash before my eyes, preparing me for yet another milestone in their lives. Not sure if it was intentional or if it's usually shown, but was effective nonetheless. ❤️
The first Shanak scene was really touchy. Shaan saying that he didn't deserve any of his possessions showed the depth of how hurt he was, and made me want to reach out to him. Khanak's reassurance that Shaan was her strengh, her support and her 'pehchaan' was beautiful and reminded us that this really is a two-way relationship. KT/YM's acting here was understated but so so effective! 👏
Shaan's introspection during Khanak's conversation with her mother was hugely important, it's during this scene he finally realises that he's not only responsible for himself, but his wife too! Love how this was interwoven into the script! 👍🏼
The Shaan-Akshay conversation was another scene that pulled on my heart-strings, Rushad conveyed Akshay's concern and unease perfectly. ⭐️ Shaan surrendering his shares and his worldly possessions... going it alone in the true sense! The final 'i love you' uttered to the elder brother he adores was so heartfelt, and Karan's portrayal of a calm yet decisive Shanatanu was spot-on! ⭐️
Ahhh the Sunil-Shaan conversation... up until this point i had a big lump in my throat and tears in my eyes, but this father-son conversation had the tears flowing freely! What an amazing performance by Aliraza ji and Karan! 👏 The way Sunil's voice broke whilst initially trying to hold back the tears, the understanding between them, and the love and respect very much intact even after the revelation of what Sunil had been doing was just too much for me to bear! 😭
Notice how when they hug each other, their hands mimic what they feel; Shaan holding on tightly not wanting to let go, and Sunil reassuring him with his calming strokes that he will stand by his son's decision. Amazing really! 👏 ⭐️ ⭐️
The Shanak marriage rituals... important on so many different levels! Thier relationship come full-circle, and a reminder of their undying love, support and need for each other - couldn't have come at a better time! The beautiful dialogues, the direction and the execution of the scene were just perfect! Yashu looked absolutely stunning as the simple and elegant bride. 😊
Apart from the small smile on Shaan's face when her learns of Khanak's surprise, he doesn't smile once throughout the whole ritual, which makes the whole scene completely in line with the current situation. The interception of the K family scenes throughout act as a reminder that although Shanak are embarking on a new journey together, they aren't really alone and have the support of the whole family. 😊
The final K family scene... all gave exceptional performances! Amazing cast! All the interactions between the characters were so heartfelt; Shaan and Khanak reassuring Madhavi, Khanak's relationship with everyone, Shaan's refusal to take Akshay's money reminding everyone how serious he is to prove himself, followed by that hug between brothers... all of it had me in tears! 😭
The icing on the cake, the sad Odhani song as Shanak make their way to the door, looking back and reminiscing the good times, Khanak taking his hand in hers and the final shot of the K family... simply outstanding scene! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Those tears looked so real, think they (like us) will miss the family interaction.
And this my friends is the reason i love this show so much, it evokes this response from me! 😳 So much happened in the episode and not once did it come with the melodrama you would have otherwise seen in any other serial. RBO team, you deserve all the praise being showered on you today. Thank you for giving us a 'maha' treat with this maha episode of RBO... 😊

Doc D, Varsha, Aysha and Krishna,

Thanks once again for your detailed analyses. Read them all just now... you have described the special episode so wonderfully!

Very few shows have leads, both of whom can act! KT and YM are one of those rare lead pairs who can act😊

Yesterday's 1 hr special, with the original RBO promo in the beginning (as Doc D pointed out) goes to show how far ShaNak have come in their journey, and the viewers, along with ShaNak.

As they embark on a new journey, here's wishing ShaNak loads of good luck, and RBO cast and crew, the same.

It's no small feat to keep a show going for so long at such a competitive slot.

The new promo out today shows promise.

Looking forward to ShaNak's journey... and eventually the Khandelwals as well...

Episode Analysis, dated 6th June 2011
The Highlights
Sunil in TOP Form, yet again!! ⭐️
ShaNak shone in bits and pieces...
Duck was bang-on today!!! 👏
The detailed synopsis! 😆
Am so go-------- used to the introductory shot of the outside of K house...missed it like crazy!! 😭😭😭
The introductory scene today...a complete blooper!! ShaNak left K house raat ko...and they step out in broad daylight!!
Attention to detail, CVs...attention to detail, please!! 😊
The potholes of the roads of Mumbai...symbolic in a sense of the 'potholes' that their journey ahead might be strewn with...a nice touch that! 👍🏼
Duck and his one-room-kitchen (the Bambaiya version of a studio apartment 😆)...the make shift messy but cute home for ShaNak!!
Loved the quiet exchange that Duck, Shaan, and Khanak share in the midst of the madness...the moment that follows immediately after Duck says something to the effect of "Agar is baar tu nahi bolta, toh tujhe jaan se maar deta!!"
Duck's genuiness...Shaan's interplay of emotions conveyed by a simple suppressed smile...Khanak's 'restraint' despite her innate bubbly self!!
A beautiful triad of understated emotions!!! ⭐️
And, the Shaan Duck hug thereafter!!! 👏
A thumbs up for the moment when Shaan goes and sits on the floor, the minute Khanak mentions the same!
Every such moment gives me hope about the 'new found' Shaan, whose reactions are no longer so...they are 'actions' instead!!
The Shaan who despite his moment of closeness with Khanak is not blisfully unaware...is a man who even in his greatest 'comfort zone' is thinking of the bigger picture!! 👏
CVs, you give us hope...of the Shantanu Khandelwal, we have been waiting since eons to see...
Absolutely loved the moment as ShaNak lay on the floor...with their backs facing each other...
The scene selection to depict the moment wasn't exactly bang-on, though!!
Would much rather have preferred to have seen exactly the similar premise post the charpai fiasco in Gaurav Gera's character's hotel...cut to...the luxurious days spent in the ShaNak bedroom...would have been a beautiful 'in context' reminder of the journey traversed thus far...
The two scenarios juxtaposed against each other... ShaNak coming full circle in a sense...the strangers are strangers no more, but the harsh realities of life...as harsh as can get...are back to square one, really!!!
Gangu bai with her navvari and keds combo...a deadly duo, indeed!!
A fab entry with her "I mean business attitude!!" 👏
The moments that stood out the most for me were...
As Gangu bai is busy giving her tenant a piece of her mind, Duck is busy with his "I told you so" gesticulation with his index finger!! 😆
As Gangu bai is busy with her jhadoo antics with the tenant, Shaan and Duck are busy escaping the same!! 🤣
RBO moment of the day
Without a trace of doubt the Sunil-Madhavi moment...
A mother and her hope, a mother's feelings getting the better of her...while the father, equally devastated anchoring the 'ship'...
Whose ship??
His own!!!!!
A CLASSIC moment that...when Sunil breaks down!!! Aliji was FABULOUS!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
My heart went out to Sunil at that moment, and the extrapolation of it...women have it relatively easier, when it comes to expressing their sensitive side...men may go through exactly the same emotions more often than not...the pressure of keeping it all pent up until the flood gates open...must be something!!!
In conclusion, ShaNak and Gangu bai's kholi...Makes for an interesting combination!! 😊
But today's episode yet again proved that K family is an indispensable part of RBO and shall always remain so!!
